History/Background: Kaili was a normal Kessera for the first little bit of her life; she played with her sibilings, she was curious, she wanted to learn everything about the world. Her mother warned her about humans and thier weapons, and how they could hurt a young Kessera, and taught her how to use her poison to fight back. Kaili listened to every word, happy to be getting new knowledge. She never knew she would have to use it.
"Get her!" yelled the lead human hunter to his hunting team, chasing the still-a-cub Kaili through the snowy woods. "She's getting away!" The hound dogs of the men ran, too, barking at the small Kessera and trying to nip her horse hair-plumed tail. Kai knew she should turn and bite the humans and the hounds, but she was too scared. What if the humans hit her with the little bits of hot metal that came from the metal sticks called guns? Her small feet galloped at top speed through the snow, occasionally tripping Kai if they hit a root. She hit a large one and tumbled head-over-feet to the ground. She got up quickly, but it was still long enough for the humans to catch up. The leader forced her to the ground and wrapped rope around her muzzle, disabling her mouth. She feebly tried to use her tail spike, but the human was stepping on her tail; it was probably broken. The man pointed his gun at her throat, finger on the trigger, Kai closed her eyes and wished he would hurry up with it.
"Get away from her, you fiend!" Came a loud, young, angry female voice. "You KNOW Kessera hunting is illegal here, you KNOW that!" Kai opened her eyes. A small girl, probably no older than fourteen, was standing at her side. The hunter had stepped off Kai's tail and put down his gun; he was looking at the tiny human with a mixture of suprise, fear, and guilt on his face.
"You jerks come and hunt this young Kessera, on land where it is illegal to hunt any creature, and expect to get away with it? Then you are ignorant fools indeed! Begone from here, and do not return if you wish to live a while longer!" She shouted at them. The men moved away, faces red from cold and embarresment. The human girl knelt down to speak to Kai.
"Those men hurt you, didn't they? I won't let it happen again. Let's take this rope off. I'm Rivalette, by the way," she said, untying the rope on the young Kessera's muzzle and letting it fall to the ground. "Your tail must feel terrible. Let's go to my house and get it fixed." Kai was scared, but had a feeling this Rivalette person was't going to hurt her. She remembered something; Rivalette didn't know her name. She got up and used one paw to spell her name in the snow:

"Kaili. Pretty! C'mon, let's go!" Kai trotted after her new friend, content to spend the rest of her days with this human.
Other: GREAT species idea! It combines all of my favorite animals. So cool!

History/Background: When Suno was still young his mother and father were killed by two lone Kessersas. He wandered the forest for days with no food and little water when he saw a large pure black male Kessersa alone he tried to sneak around him but it was no use. "Who are you?" he said calmly. "M-my name is Suno," the young pup said. "Well, Suno, my name is Kodah, come sit with me." "Okay," said Suno. "Where are your mother and father?" Kodah asked. "They were..." he stopped. "Oh," Kodah said "I can help you!" "How?" Suno wondered. "Come with me, there are some nice humans that can take care of you." "Humans?" he wondered. "Yeah they're really nice." Kodah said as they walked toward a large wooden house. "Here it is." "WOW," Suno howled "that's huge!!" "Yeah, let me go get a human one second," kodah said as he went to the door and barked "Okay here they come," a young girl about 11 or 12 can to Kodah and stroked his soft fur. "Who is this you've brought me, an orphaned pup?" she asked him. Kodah barked and trotted over to Suno and nudged him closer. Suno really like how nice the girl was so he licked her hand and she got him some food and water, after Suno was all grown up those two were practically inseparable.
