The Loch Nile is a majestic creature that can be found in any ocean. They are generally brightly colored, the males having slightly darker patterns than the females. Hardly ever will there be an non-patterned creature of this type. Patterns include stripes and spots, but some have been found with much more intricate designs such as paisleys and tiny blossoms.
Loch Niles are roughly the size of a seahorse, sometimes a bit larger. This makes them easy prey, though they have can defend themselves with horns. Females make even easier prey because they typically do not have horns, though some have been found that do. The ridge along a Loch Nile's neck, as well as its tail fins, are delicate and somewhat transparent. The main fin along its spine, however, is hard and sturdy. It can be torn though, and is often destroyed in battles with creatures larger than the Loch Nile.
