It's basically saying that you may own 5 JMDs made on the thread, and 3 JMDs obtained from breeding, no matter who the parents are. c:

I have a question relating this topic too - with the three offspring, does that mean you can own three offspring. Like, the rule doesn't count if your JMD had three offspring but you only keep one, correct? That means you only have one offspring so far?

↳ Yes, that is correct. The amount of offspring resulting from a breeding does not effect your slots. Only the ones owned by you do. So if you only kept one, that is the only one in your slots. This applies to offspring you win from adoption contests as well.

Characters are not allowed to be used as refs / made into JMDs.

I have been seeing people saying characters can't be changed into a jmd.There is a jmd who was a character an turned into a jmd and is a bunch of other species.On the first gen. Lines I made a custom form for Nassie with a ref of a dog.That picture was just to show what she looked like since I was very bad at drawing then.But enough of that I have a question..Why do people say they want characters to be Jmds and they can't when some people did that on the second gen lines?

They weren't supposed to, easy as that. You aren't allowed to make an already existing character into a JMD. However you may make a design that IS NOT a character(like a temporary reference for the artist to look at) and use it as a guide- for those whom are not very good at describing with words, like myself.
