Power: Starflight has the job of making the stars rise every night using her powerful horn. Also, she must fly up and rearrange them according to the season into the constellations. Using her creativity and magic, she creates new constellations and old, making stars brighter and dimmer to spark the imagination into beautiful connect-the-star pictures.
Background: Starflight is mentee and right-hand pony to Princess Luna. Starflight had first started playing with the stars when she was very young. Her incredible talent and friendship with them had caught Princess Celestia's attention, who immediately knew that she was the perfect young pony to assist and be mentored by Luna. Starflight and Luna quickly became very close, much like Twilight Sparkle and Celesia. Under Luna's tutelage, Starflight put her magnificent wings and horn to good use, becoming protector and caretaker of the stars.
Looks: Starflight has a rich deep blue coat decorated with light yellow starry swirls. Her wings are large and feathery, and have the same speckled light yellow starry color. Her medium sized horn has the same coloration as her wings. She has bright sky-blue eyes with the stars always reflected in them. Her Cutey Mark is a simple light yellow five point star.
Pony's favorites: Starflight's favorite constellation is Orion. She loves pump-up music, and likes to play it quietly for the stars, as it encourages them to stay very bright and keeps them happy and excited. Her favorite time is midnight, as that is when her stars are the brightest, and it also is when her magic is the most powerful.
Other: Starflight is mentee/apprentice to Princess Luna, and looks up to her in every way. She has always been wary of Luna's transformation into Nightmare Moon, but trusts her all the same, knowing that Luna regrets that part of her past and has put it behind her. Starflight is very good friends with Rainbow Dash, Twilight Sparkle, and Fluttershy. In her free time, she likes to challenge her wings and go for daring flights with Rainbow Dash, organize playdates with Fluttershy's animals and the stars, and hang out with Twilight Sparkle, Princess Celestia, and Princess Luna
