Thought I'd ask here since Komi's siggy asked not to pm her. My apologies if this is counted as spam. ^^;
I was coloring some gift lines with my JBD's and realized that they've never had a paw pad color ref. Considering there is no paw pad ref on their original refs, would I be able to make-up what their paw pads look like?

Not going over the color limit of course. But would it be alright, for example, if I had a JBD with a pink and black dappled tongue? or would those count as extra colors? Thank you for your time,

Same here, I would give quite a lot to get one. But we've got to be patient and wait, even if it takes a year or two, and hope to win one or maybe be gifted a nursery baby by someone very kind. :)

Small question, when aging a bean, are you allowed to add in a marking or two if it's going from baby to teen? Or does the design on the baby have to be permanent with no changes? For example, if you had a simple baby with a varied tone body only, could you add in a patch of dots on the flank as it got older or such?

The four color rule applies to "fur colors" Eyes, horns, nails, tongues, etc, are not fur, and not limited to one of the four.
And yes, you can pick the color of the tongue and paw pads for your dragon. If you have any doubts about your choice being acceptable, simply PM the artist who designed your bean, or another staff member, and ask.
I would also like to remind you that the existence of paw pads is a style choice, and not canonical. See this old picture drawn by Hiccup (September 2012)

A baby bean gains all it's markings within the first few weeks of life. Your child and teen, and nursery babies, come fully designed with all the markings the artist chose to give them. They are not simplified.
If you want to add markings as the bean grows, that is a type of revamping, and you must PM the artist who made your bean (or another staff if they are not available) and ask for specific changes.

That was long before the species got it's foot revamp (JBDs got new lines) see the dog-like feet? but yes, good point.
Maybe they are there, maybe they aren't. It's up to the style of whoever is drawing it then ^^

the paw pads are old stuff (lol that drawing too)
I no longer draw JBDs with paw pads since I decided their feet are more lizard-like
JBD doggy paw pads are pretty much non-existent, and yes, it's more of a drawing style thing

Alright. If a teen bean asks his/her girlfriend/boyfriend to be mates and they accept while they're TEENS, and lets say 2 months later they become adults would they have to wait another whole 2 months to have baby beans or would they be able to have them a couple days after they have turned into adults? Because they'd already been mates for 2 months just as teenagers?
