You click the bean (Jellybean Dragon) you like, and see if its up-for-adopt, if its is (and occasionally its not) fill out the form or reserve a WIP (Work in Progress), if that is allowed by the artist (and sometimes they put regulations on how you can reserve it whether you have to fill in at least your username, etc)
And if you need more help that goes in deeper for how to make a good form... A few members of the fanclub made a guide for our fellow adopters.
Click! And now that I think about it... Should we have a more well explained info for how to 'adopt' a JBD for people that are still confused?(Not to bug you to much Komi)

Really its quite simple c:
When on the first page, below the main adoption picture, there are a series of Jellybean Dragons that have been created by our lovely circle of artists. First, You click on one you like, and see if it is still available for adoption.
In order to adopt, you must first comply by the artists wishes, and compete for one.
Whether it be a guessing game (numbers theme ect) or a down and intact form contest, you must do as the artist asks.
For example
In order to win this bean (as Berkshire, the artist, stated) You must
impress her with any extent of information you make up for the bean,
include it in a self made form, and make it visually attractive (mind you,
going up against many other contestants) in attempt to claim rights to
calling this bean your own.
On the other hand, this bean (created by the marvelous SoOJ) A form
has already been created for you, along with a set of rules you MUST
follow in order to qualify for the competition. Make sure to read the
whole first post as asked by the artist, and use the form she has
provided you with to take a chance at winning this pretty bean.
I generally see more 'everyone included' contests when applying for beans, however there are a few reserved for users who do not yet own a Jellybean Dragon.
Follow the rules, get creative, and be original, you should be on your way to winning your first ;D

Thats completely understandable, Vintage ;D I am actually quite glad you decide to wait one you find special enough to be your first <3
Though, for when that time comes (or for any other new users looking to join our community) here are a few helpful links;
I look forward to seeing you around when the time comes ;D
