personality ;; astrid is about as kind as they come. she wouldn't dare hurt a fly.
shy and gentle, she is often quiet during first meet, not saying a single word until
she was fully comfortable. being fully comfortable, though, does take a long time.
but once you've made your way, she's very goofy and outgoing, always enjoying a
good laugh and having fun with her companions. despite being a creature of a
herd, Astrid is often found alone and doesn't mind it at all. she says it gives her
time to think, and clear her mind.

interests/hobbies ;; astrid enjoys spending time in meadows, admiring the
flowers and smelling their different aromas. another favorite is meeting
others who will become good friends.

story ;;
The sun was high in the sky, it's bright rays shining down on the Earth below. It was finally spring; all of the snow had melted
away, taking the harsh winds and bitter weather along with it. It was now replaced by the ever-growing green grass, the
blooming of variously colored blossoms. The creatures of the forest were beginning to emerge from the winter slumber, taking
in the sight of the growing land around them.

One mammal, though, stood out from the rest. The creature was not very tall in height, but looks definitely made up for
that. Various browns covered her bodice, darker swirls coming in as if it was the inside of a large tree. Clawed front legs
and slim, hooved back ones were often peculiar, but not in this particular species. A long, fluffy tail waved gently, back
and forth, just barely skimming the ground below. Off-white antlers sprouted from the female's head, an array of vines
weaved and tangled amongst it, carrying small stems with pink blossoms. Bright green eyes completed the look, contrasting
against the darker pelt of the creature. The badger deer was a sight to see, and this one most definitely lived up to her
expectations.

The female stood where she was, her bulky cranium turning to take in her surroundings. Taller grass came up to about
her shoulders, gently tickling her as she moved her appendages to begin a slow pace. Her green optics still glanced over
what was around her, and the new spring blooming. A small smile pulled at her lips just before her pace picked up.
Hopping forward, a butterfly ascended from the grass below, fluttering in Astrid's face before flying higher. The smile
on her features grew bigger at the sight just before she continued forward.

Now, deeper within the meadow, flowers sprouted up on all sides. Pink, yellow, purple, and some even a soothing blue.
The aroma was strong, almost overwhelming but welcoming to Astrid. Her large nose lowered to the gently blossoms,
sniffing each one and closer her eyes whilst doing so. She went on to do this, almost every flower within the petite
meadow having been scented by the lone badger-deer. When she felt she was done, she searched for a comforting
spot, one where the grass didn't seem as coarse as everywhere else. It didn't take long, only a few paces this way
and that before she came upon a spot she deemed fitting. A simple circle did well before her body was plopped down,
then curled into as tight a ball as the bulky creature could manage. Head rested upon her front legs, from a distance,
the flowers atop her antlers seemed to be part of the meadow as Astrid slowly drifted to sleep.

Genevieve is a young Badger Deer; calm and rather reserved to herself with a slight shyness towards others. She is soft-spoken and polite with a strong constitution, taking the safety of others more seriously than her own. She is shown to be very loyal and caring towards others and quite calculative with her actions. Genevieve is often seen with a friendly smile; though she hates to observe loneliness, as she often spends her time around others whom seem lonely to talk with them. This young Badger Deer loves to listen to others' problems and give them advice in return for their company. She feels as though everyone is an equal and should be treated with respect. At times, Genevieve will get herself into trouble as she has a very imaginative mind with curiosity at every corner of the world.
