What are Dabries?

Darbries are dog-like mammals, and that includes both physically and mentally.
They adore attention from their owners and will stick by your side no matter what, given their
loyal personalities. Their coats are soft to the touch and normally consist of neutral colors, so
unnatural coloration is unheard of. Darbri eyes, though, can vary with any color which gives
them a unique look despite their natural fur. Will you try and win over your own Darbri's heart?

- Do not steal any concepts from the Darbri, including designs as well as another user's
Darbri(es).
- Custom Darbries will not be open for a while, and may not be available at all, so please do
not ask for a custom. You can only get one if you are part of the staff or a close friend.
- Do not spam the thread or just post one to five worded statements.
- Do not bribe artists or other staff members for stuff related to the Darbri.
- You only get three slots for now, so use them wisely.

Appearance

Darbries are small canines and are generally around the
size of a border collie, which includes their build. Their fur is
soft and dense, allowing them to live in colder temperatures
while airy enough to allow them the ability to withstand hotter
temperatures. They all have standard-colored coats from
breeding with the everyday dog. A difference is that the
eyes of a Darbri are a unique color, and one that often stands
out from the coat colors. There ears and tail come in all
different varieties; cropped ears, bobbed tail, etc.

Disposition

Darbries are generally sweet and loyal to the end, no matter
how their owners may treat them. They will always seek out
your love and can be stubborn when the want your attention
even if you're occupied with something else. It takes a while
to fully gain their trust, though, so you have to really put your
heart into owning them.

Diet

A Darbri's diet mainly consists of various meats and will actually
eat both fruits and vegetables. For some reason, they enjoy
chicken most of all since it seems to be easier to digest for
the small canines. They'll try just about anything once, but
cannot eat chocolate or extremely sugary treats.

Mates

When a Darbri chooses a mate, they will only be able to choose
once since they mate for life. Even though that is the case,
many Darbri might 'date' in order to find that perfect mate
they have been looking for. If one of the partners die, the
one left is unable to find another mate and can no longer
breed.

Breeding & Puppies

Once a Darbri finds a partner, they are able to breed once every
two years and can have up to 4 puppies in a litter. The
puppies will stay with the mother and father until they
are two years old and then will go off on their own.
The puppies will still see their parents, but won't always
rely on them.

Darbri will be put up for adoption by litters, meaning that 2-4 will be put up for adoption
at a time. Forms and personality information will be provided under each adoptable
Darbri as well as an end date for when all the forms will be judged.

Gender - Female

Just your average, cute, cuddly dog. She's lazy somewhat, and just wants to snuggle with you. She's scared of thunderstorms and will hide with you under the covers if she's scared. She's very loving, and will most certainly cover you with kisses. She's somewhat shy, but warms up to friendly faces quickly.
She also loves carrots. Whenever she hears the knife on the cutting board, she'll assume it's carrots and come barreling in, tongue out and skidding on the floor in her excitement. When you give her bits of carrot, her eyes will light up and she'll take it into the living room and chew on it until there's nothing left but orange stains on her teeth.


Gender - Male

He looks a little older, and perhaps a little tougher. This one has a harsher personality, but he'll warm up to you if you give him peanut butter. Then it's almost a flipside of him; he's yours. And he will adore you forever if you scratch that one spot behind his ears. Other than those two instances, he's somewhat mean and aggressive towards other dogs, but he's very protective of the peanut-butter giving, ear-scratching person who will take him in. He may take some time to get used to you, though.

This batch will be judged on June 8th with help from {rainstorm.}. You are free to do whatever you want with your forms, but you must include your username, the Darbri's name and batch number, as well as one extra. The extra can be anything you want, so be creative!
