Design me a Species!

Hey there
I am looking for a species. I'll give you a short description of what I imagine this creature to be like: dog/wolf or horse based creature, the creature must have a floating orb beside it, it is where the creatures life is held. If the orb is captured then so is the soul of this creature. This creature cannot survive without this orb but it does not have it at birth. It must find it and then the orb will be with the creature forever. These creatures don't have any powers, the only magical part of this creature is the orb. But, although this creature does not have any magical powers, it has glowing body parts and are immortal while they have the orb.
When you draw it, I ask you to make a difference between male and female, but not a big one, as I don't want to pressure you.

When You Enter
When you enter, I would like you to include: What you would recommend to call it, abit about it and the difference between male and female. Also, if possible, do the orb as another layer and the add-on for male/female as another layer too. Like: Male has horns, layer name is Horns for Male, remove that layer, no horns= Female Just an example here you know Also, when you enter and finish your design, if you have some other layers you would like me to see, just add me to colour so I can view them. if possible, colour your design in.
