Hello, Seji! ^^ Can I call you Seji? I hope I could...

When you start A Song of Ice and Fire - make sure you have time. You should read it in, so to say, one sitting. In the quickest time possible for real thought-process reading, read it through. Why? Because it is so very very long! Otherwise you'll just pick up a novel and be like: "I can't remember anything that happened in the past novels!". It's really great because the characterization is great, the setting and pace are great too. Although it is long, it never really drags. It isn't afraid of killing off characters and showing fresh new faces or points of view you've never known before. It goes really far to just show you how complicated it all is and how it is completely impossible for everyone to be happy.

Haha, I've never actually read 1984 (although I want to), I suppose IQ84 could be half-based on it (c'mon, the title!). It isn't really that thick compared to A Song of Ice and Fire, it's probably so because your library has the version with all the trilogy in one book. And hardcover. But it reads quickly, and it has somewhat surreal air to it. It's prettily done (I could imagine all the locations before my eyes), but I liked Kafka on Shore and Hard-boiled Wonderland better.

Also, I took a glance at your signature, and in that one stamp there were half of the books I loved! ^^ Really refreshed my memory. Do you know perhaps a site which is like animelist.net? Basically a site you can find, list, rate and track all the books you've read?

I totally agree with you Holly! It's complicated but it attracts you in an amazing way. I like many of the characters and I hate more -which makes those series fascinating. I'm in the end of "A Dance with Dragons" and I'm trying to read it as slowly as possible cause the next one hasn't been published in my country [was it published anywhere else? Is it written yet?]

^^ I don't think it's written yet. I believe the name was meant to be The Winds of Winter, but I'm not entirely sure.
Where I live, I buy the English version of it, because the translation sucks so horribly! I just took one glance at the annotation and I was like: "Nope. Not gonna spend my money on this." And besides, the paperback English versions cost just 3.50 dollars. The translated version was like ~10 dollars or something.
I think books today are waaay overpriced. Although, if it wasn't so, the writers would die from hunger.

Oh, thanks for letting me know. c: And -because I want to publish a book someday- well, I'm with the writers. <3 They should make enough money to live. cx

@Electra Heart I'm British 8D, but I do find books about out kings and queens interesting. We've had some mean ones....

Okay, I can suggest Vimy by Pierre Berton. It's about the Canadian Corps taking Vimy Ridge in 1917, during World War I.

Also, John A. by Richard Gwyn which is about Sir John A. Macdonald, the man who helped create our confederation, and was our first Canadian Prime Minister. You can get more info on him here, or by reading the book. xD

I'm on a semi-hiatus, but would be willing to come back
full time for a good RPG.
I'll look at anything, but I prefer
animals, and I won't do Hunger Games/Divergent, anything
supernatural, or anything where the main point is romance.
I've done Warrior cats and Camp Half-Blood RPGs quite a
few times, including hosting my own on another site, but I
would prefer not to do either of those RPGs again. I might
instead be interested in a Hogwarts RPG, or maybe something
based in WW1 or WW2. I'm probably semi-literate, but please,
nothing below that. (And I like RPing male characters, if
you're in need of any.)

So, have an RPG suggestion? Or maybe a trade? Or just
wanna message me? Please, don't hesitate! (;

Top Ten Favorite Books: *makes contorted in pain face* No!!!!! I.... have to..... LIST TEN??
It's impossible for me to list every single one of my favourites in order of how I like them.
Lets just say.... (no particular order and downsized)
Confessions of a Murder Suspect
Maximum Ride series
Harry Potter series
Fallen series
Twilight saga (they were... alright)
The Last Dragon Chronicles

Average amount of time it takes you to finish a book: Depends on the thickness and how much time I have. A regular book, a few days.
How many of the above symptoms you regularly experience: 1, 2, 3, 4, 6, lol :D

So, what has everyone else been reading lately?
I've been reading a lot of YA historical fiction- mostly it's just fluff but I'm not really up for any 'deep thinking' books right now.

I got some books from the library recently, one of which is All Quiet on the Western Front; very good so far.
