Short Story: abigaile was born on the side of a surly mountain in the wooded regions of the island. her namesake is modeled after the large gusts of winds, which usually come right before the devastating storms, common in the area. abigaile, most often known as gail, was always strange in that she disappeared during the storms. many of her herd believe that she is a storm summoner, and although she is adored, there is always a mystical and dangerous element to her presence. few know exactly what she does during a storm.

abigaile trotted lightly through the dim forest, and stomped her feet once she reached the edge of the clearing. she peeked out and noticed the large quantity of storm clouds in the sky, and the buzzing of the air. there hadn't been a storm for months. she wouldn't miss this for anything. she shook her pelt and picked up her pace again, entering the clearing. she didn't have much time before she would have to turn around and find shelter.

once the clearing was behind her, abigaile paused and sniffed the moist earth of the forest again. as her nose was pressed to the ground a single raindrop fell on her snout. she looked to the sky and furrowed her brow, "i still have time", she spoke softly to the clouds. she trotted, then quickened her speed, and then began to gallop as she passed all of the landmarks that led her to her destination. a few creatures looked at her curiously, and then ducked her heads back into their homes. she couldn't turn around now, she was so close.

abigaile slowed down once she saw the spot, only a few meters away. it was a clearing, surrounded by flat ground all around. in the center was a circle of metal poles and obstructions sticking at odd angles into the grass and black soil. in the center of this construction, was a raised mound of earth, still covered in a bed of lush green grass. abigaile ducked underneath one of the metal pieces that fenced the circular area and claimed her position atop the center of it all. she did this just as clouds thickened and the remaining sunlight disappeared, and rain poured from the sky.

lazily it began at first, and then with great force did the clouds empty themselves. abigaile was at the center of it all. when the lightning struck out at her, it didn't dare touch her. it formed a ring of blinding light and power around her, conducting to the metal obstructions and haloing abigaile. she wasn't the summoner of the floods or the storms. not with her pale eyes and cloudy pelt. she was the summoner of the light.

although i didn't leave much time for adoption forms, i've decided on this form to win her. c: please take good care.

Name: Dustie - (yes, it is spelt like that! Dusty felt too... Plain. He felt a unique way of spelling it would jazz everything up abit!
Gender: male
Characteristics: Dustie is a lovely, kind natured Badger deer. His little splatters of sparkling colours often draw people to him. He was born on the night of a large thunder storm, in a cave in the depths of a great mountain range, which the Badger deer of that country called the Dragon's Spine. As a result of this, perhaps, he has a large obsession with anything light related, especially lightning. As a young badger deer, he would often go out in the howling gales to seek the best place to stand and watch the lights flash across the sky. Once, with three of his friends, he went on a journey thought impossible; a journey to the Pole, to watch the Northern Lights, or the Death Trail, as they called it. In Badger Deer legend, it was believed that the Aurora was a pathway between the land of the living, and that of the dead. In a sense, it is there own version of the stairway to heaven. It is rumoured that the reason for little Dustie's splattered markings was that he was touched by the Death Trail as a great blessing from the great god Bran.
