I guess I just don't understand why gifting isn't allowed?
If you felt you weren't giving your JBDs enough attention or were leaving CS, but you worked really hard for them, wouldn't you want them to go to someone you knew/trusted? ;u; it seems only fair, seeing the amount of effort people put into winning them, that they'd get to decide where they go <'33
I know they can find great homes through re-adopt but it just seems like it would be nicer to know exactly where they're going ^^;
I'm really sorry if I seem to be trying to pick a fight or something D; I'm not, it's just there are lots of good reasons to allow gifting so I figure you must have a really good one not to, and I'm just curious what that reason is <33

That would count as gifting, which is not currently allowed. Artists/judges pick you because they feel you'll care for the bean best. They don't want to pick you to learn you just want to gift the bean off. c:

Sorry if I am being a bother, but this bean says if you win you can gift it.
Wouldnt that count against that rule?
Sorry if I seem like I am arguing. I am a little confused x3

That's because it counts as a Nursery Bean. All your doing in that competition is fighting to say you're the parents who will take it from the orphanage, then you can gift it off to someone. It's quite different from a regular adopt bean. ;]

No no, If someone is leaving and wishes to give their JBD to someone else I'm sure we could figure out a way to make that work, however, we have had issues in the past with people gifting and not asking for permission. Therefore, we 'canceled' (or put on hold, if you prefer that term) gifting for a while so people don't get in trouble again.
Re-adopts differ from gifting. When you re-adopt out a bean, you're putting it back up for adoption. When you gift, it automatically goes to another. c:

Oh, okay! uwu <3
If someone were to think they really weren't taking good enough care of their JBD & they wanted to gift it to a trusted friend, and they made sure to ask the artist for permission, that still wouldn't be allowed? ;v;
But yeah, I know they do xP <3 I was saying, if your only option is putting it up for re-adopt, you don't know exactly where it's going, unlike gifting ;u; <3

I don't want to spam up the board, so I won't quote.
For now? No, no gifting at all. That's how it used to work, of course, but all of the staff wasn't connected in the right way and it was kind of a mess. X3
When gifting starts up again, it will either work like that or you'll have to PM Hekomi or another 'active' staff member to find out. c:

Oh ... okay.
So if a member had a JBD that they felt they didn't love enough, but they only wanted it to go to a trusted friend, not up for re-adopt, they'd just have to keep it and let it continue gathering dust? ^^;
Just want to make sure I understand. c:

For now, yes, or put it up for re-adoption.

Oh, OK! ^^
I might end up PMing you - once you open them - at some point then xD don't know if it counts as an 'extraneous circumstance' necessarily but I'd love to be heard out ;u; <3
