They are much like the felines of today except that they defy the laws of science, like they can fly and unnatural phenomenon seem to happen around them, some classing it as 'magic'.

Story of how you found
him/her:It was a bright and sunny day, I was wearing the prettiest kimono I had. Everything seem'd like it was just right, it was the day of the lantern festival and I was just getting ready. I was waiting for my younger sister Tusuta (two-sue-ta) to get ready, I had went out the door a wile ago and was now waiting impatiently for her. "Oh my gosh Tusuta! Can you go any slower?!" I looked through the door and saw her coming down the stairs. She smirked at me once she got outside. "Why yes I can." She teased and started to walk as slow as she could. I growled, well kinda growled at my sister. She cuckled and then stopped. I looked up into the sky, it was getting dark and we neefed to be there soon before its too dark. We started walking towards the festival but we got lost on the way. "Akemi I'm scared." Tustuta said walking over to me. "I think I see lights, lets go!" I yelled and we started running. I tripped and fell onto the forest floor. I looked up to find Tusuta gone, it was only me and the lights seem'd to be gone too. I startes to cry and out of the corner of my eye I saw something white and blue appear from the sky. I just looked down as tears began to slide down my face.
"Whats wrong?" A male voice asked comfortingly.
I looked over and saw a beautiful neko looking animal in front of me.
"Nothings wrong its just I can't find my way to the festival."
I sighed. "And now i'm all alone, my sister left me." The male neko came over to me and rubbed its head against mine in a hug. I smiled and hugged him back. "Whats your name?" I asked. "Makoto." He replied. I giggled. "Well its nice to meet you sincerity." He chuckled again, the sound was like music. "And from what I heard Akemi, your name means beautiful." I blushed and nodded. "Yep." I looked at his beautiful fur, and an orb? "Makoto what is that orb for?" I asked. He looked at me. "This is my orb, it is my life. If it breaks I will die." I went over to him and started to pet his fur. I smiled at him. I saw the lanters go across the lake. "Makoto why don't you come live with me? We can be best friends," I giggled and he nodded yes.
