You need to learn a little more bout lock alpha, right, to turn the picture, there is a little blue flip tool with arrows, click it and then click and hold the pic while you turn it round the right way, to better understand lock alpha, you'll have the layers all layed out for you on the bottem right, click "tick" the box saying lock alpha and then scroll to down to the "main body colour" layer and your away, there are much more things you can achive with the use of lock alpha, but thats pretty much a basic understanding, then just colour your layers accordingly =) Also a good tip is to go over any martkings with the water tool, that way they blend in better without looking hazey.

Best thing I could tell you, is to keep practasing, save often and if your not happy with it, just keep trying, never give up =)

Three Rings for the Elven-kings under the sky,
Seven for the Dwarf-lords in their halls of stone,
Nine for Mortal Men doomed to die,
One for the Dark Lord on his dark throne
In the land of Mordor where the shadows lie.
One Ring to rule them all, One Ring to find them,
One Ring to bring them all, and in the darkness bind them
In the land of Mordor where the shadows lie.

Edit:
What brush type/size/opacity do you use for the lines? I'm considering drawing a little hat or something. <3

Pencil/size 1 or 2 sometimes I find accesorries look better a little bigger but it's only up to personal prefrence

opacity, is always set to 100% but you can change if if you feel it looks nicer, and sometimes I add a little water tool over the line work, I find the water tool very effective, and helps make the style of lines look unique =) To me any way lol.

I'd also sugest you add a new layer for the accesory colour, always put it benith your line work, as you'll find it easier to keep in the lines =)

I'm always happy to see peoples exprements tho, so just be comfortable with your own work, I'm sure it'll be wonderful =)

Thanks! I posted her! <3 I'll add the hat later. (Tomorrow)
