The Battle Hardened
The Ice Threshers are nomadic Elkrin who roam the frozen forests of Eldemore. For the most part they do not gather in groups or herds, preferring to live their lives alone and without the company of others from their kind. These beasts do, however, have a patriarchal society. The males hold a strict code as to whom holds dominance within their territories and will fight to the death in order to achieve this high rank. The leading stag Thresher will tolerate other males within his area, but all females are strictly his and his alone, making younger nomadic males traverse the lands in search of their own territory to stake claim to. They are also revered for their hardy nature, feeding on anything they can possibly consume- be it grass, bark,or meat. This allows them to survive in the frigid climate that they dwell in and to also overcome great hardships when blizzards hit. Ice Threshers are the battle masters of the Elkrin species. Males rarely back down when posed with a threat and many of them have scars littering their hides to tell of their past victories and failures.

This male in particular seems to have suffered a grave wound in the past. A long scar cuts deep from his shoulder to his hind quarters, suggesting that another Elkrin or creature has been in battle with him. Though most creatures would die if their sides were split open, the Threshers have an amazing ability which allows their blood to clot faster to prevent bleeding out if wounded and to heal quicker than most. His right antler also has a prong missing and cracks linger where it has broken off. Whatever creature he did battle with must have been great to cause such a stag to look so war torn. He is no fool to the ways of battle and will not hesitate to charge at anyone he deems a threat. Lets hope his rider can prove them self to him in battle- these Elkrin will only bond with those who win against them in a one-on-one dance with death.
