I like how some pieces on his fur look like battle armor plates. They make me think of my cousin Yanni {Greek for John} and his dream to make a battle game {Like Dynasyty Warriors}I support him on this.I like his colors they match and i like the color of blood. It is my second favorite color. He makes me remind my friend/BFF Yo-yo ,she loves black this makes her happy to see this. She isn't on chickensmoothie but she always watches over my shoulder.I enjoy how it isn't just the spots are just black but they have little markings or scribbles, it makes it stand out and that's what caught my eye.The marking also make remind me of my little BF Garvin who is only one,he draws like that but i think it is cute and awesome.I love Cruor's eyes they are liek a vampires also with his fangs they make me think of The Twilight Saga which is one of my favorite movies of all times. It makes me think of the most recent Eclipse which is my favorite book.I also have a great plot and story in mind for him.

"How does it go?"

"Like this:

I raced and raced till my heart couldn't no more.My spots felt heavy on my shouldars like armor which in my recent times they have. They formed into real armor in times of my greatest need.

They are pains.

Since I was running I had to slow, which didn't help for my problem at all.I was running from many things. If you asked which I couldn't tell to many.As you probaly could tell now I was a trouble making, probaly from many things. If yo udid say this you are right.I can't back down from fights and osmetimes I back down ,I steal and cheat,I love and marry.

I many things.

Back to running, what was behind me was only to real threats.By real I mean living ,living not in your head or ody but soemthing taht is made out of flesh and bone and now fear and dreams. They were just my mate and girlfriend.

Yeah I'm a cheater,I don't care.It let's me live and hope and love.My mate was a young female ,she had glossy blue eyes and a white coat with some tiger marks running down her back. She was holding a bronze knife in her mouth. My girl was all brown with a stars all over her.Her eyes with black and she had no pupils. She had a bow and arrow{S} in her mouth. My mate's name was Mary Ann and My gril was Alica. They were both pretty and I meet them on the same day of my loner life....

I walked up a hill ,, the sun beamed on a little japaness maple tree it was small but it's leaves and bracahes leaned to make a hut.He smelled females, his favorite smell. He reached his head in the leaves and saw two females grooming each other with small licks.Which we cool two for this one hot day. I looked at them amd stepped in laying on the other side of them. They looked at me a little worried but they walked over to me one on each side of me.They licked me grooming me which I liked. This was the beganing.

Of something

I turned into my human form,I was shirtless,I was skinny and fit.I had spot real armor on me in the place that they were on me in my dog/wolf form.I had long worn gray jeans the blue faded.I had gray nikes with looked like that had claws ripping of off them and slash marks. But they were all part of the design.

ALica turned into her human form. She had a long tight groom,it was brown and frilled on the bottom and the stars were at the bottom to.She has only one sleeve on her right arm.She had her hair in her eyes so she looked like a normal human.

Mary A. shaped too,she wore her long white shirt with blue jeans. She had black flip-flops and she had tigers all over her shirt and tiger slashes on her jeans. Her eyes sparkle like her knife.Deadly and dangerous.

I smile and did a back flip pulled out my sword.A long normal sword,it was a mix of a samurai sword and a curved sword but with a normal sword in it to.It was plain no markings or specail colors.

Their weapons were the same, normal but killer.ALica striked first she pilled out five small arrows dipped in something. She lauched them .A grinn crawled on my face, they came one behind each other.I threw my sword at them it went threw them all ripping tem to pieces .The remeins fell like rain.

Alica standed there in shock. She srceamed and charged me.I put my sword down and open my arms, she looked at me and began to cry she walked itno my ram and I kissed her on the cheek cooing at her.Calming her.She looked at me and nicely rested her lips on mine.

Mary A. didn't tak it well. She ran when were kissin gand slashed Alica neck but not enough to kill her .Mary then pulled her awya nad twist kicked her into a tree. She jumped onto my back and held her knife to my neck.I held her hand and said "Remeber how we loved and meet, how I kept you warm and well." I felt a tear fall form her on my neck and she jumped off .I turned to her and said 'Come her love." and she did I grabbed her hand walked to Alica.I whispered into Alica ear "Get up Dear." She did and I held her up she walked in limps btu we walked off into the sun all together.

This was the best moment of my life. This was remember in my paw steps."

His ears are back just if you were wondering.

I understand that by adopting this creature I take full responsibility for it.

I would really appreciate more clarification here. If the wife/girlfriend want to kill him, why would a few words suddenly make them all be friends? It really makes no sense to me.

There were only 7 characters that only had one form; two weren't even started, which is why this half is so short.

If I edited would I still get Cruor or would I have to wait for next round?

Name You'd Choose for It:
Firefly
Because... I was going to call her Feather-Wisp, because of the feather-like/wispy markings, but then Firefly just came into my head, and I loved it :) I called the mum Feather instead

Gender:
female

Reason You Want It:
She’s simply beautiful. I fell in love as soon as Lihmeth posted her as a donation on this thread. I simply love her, and will take care of her, she is epic. I love her natural colours, and her beautiful, magical, wispy markings. Also, she is my favourite kind of horse – a heavy horse. And the feathers! They are beautiful! And her long forelock is so... Awesome! Words can’t describe how I feel about her. Firefly wouldn't go in my herds, she is a special charrie, used in RPs, and stuff like that. I would definitely roleplay with her, and I would get a lot of art! I just love her so much! The little dot markings on her face are adorable, and so is the little dot beside her eye <3

History/Background/Other:

Personality:
Firefly is a light, bubbly horse. She is not afraid to take risks, and frequently does so, but she would never do anything intentionally to harm those she loves. She has a fierce temper, but it passes quickly – she is usually back to her own, bubbly self within minutes. She loves playing pranks on people, and telling jokes, and when she laughs, it fills everyone around her with joy. You don’t want to get on her bad side however – she will play endless tricks and pranks on you, occasionally even cruel ones.

Likes:
Her favourite person is Lisa. She also likes Lisa's father, Thomas. She LOVES carrots. She loves performing in the circus. She really likes all the other horses (with the exception of one). She loves being ridden bareback by Lisa, and going out together in the countryside, without any of the other horses or people.

Dislikes:
Mr Spelman, the owner of the circus (he creeps her out  ). Apples. She HATES apples. She thinks they're yucky :P . She doesn't really like Jane, one of the horses. She doesn't really like her saddle. She doesn't like the long travelling sessions.

Height
Firefly stands at 15hh (152cm) at the shoulder.

Build
Firefly is of average build – she is not overly skinny, but she is not fat either.

Tack
If I got Firefly, I would design her own special tack. This is because she is a circus horse!
This is all her normal kit, for when she does dressage:
The saddle pad/numnah would be pitch black, with gold thread woven in patterns – tiny little horses running. In the bottom right corner, her name would be written, in curly, looping font :)
The saddle itself would also be black, with shining silver stirrups. The buckles would all be gold. On the front of the saddle would be a tiny golden horse head.
The bridle would also be black, and the noseband and the browband would have a gold-and-silver pattern. The bit would be silver. Her name would be woven into the browband.
This is her performing kit:
She has nothing on her back, but on her head is a fancy halter, black and gold, and attached to this is a gold feather plume.
She will also have black and gold travel boots, black and gold blanket (with name woven on <3), and her own black and gold grooming kit.

Appearance
Her eyes are a beautiful silvery grey, full of expression and joy.
Her mane and tail are both beautiful, long, flowing, silky and soft. They are a dark grey, with the top and end of the tail a light grey.
The tops of her legs are a medium grey, and the bottoms are a dark grey. The dark grey parts are feathered, and the feathers are long, and flowing.

Story

Prologue

Just outside London, England, 2004, January 4th

"Come on girl, do it!" The sound was coming from a small, run-down barn. "Hurry up!" Inside the barn, in a little stall, Feather was having a foal. The huge, powerful draft horse was lying on the ground panting, every muscle straining, trying her hardest to have her foal. The man was oblivious to her pain however, and his only concern was to get the foal born and to get back inside, away from the cold. As soon as it was old enough, he would sell it. He had no use for a foal running about, never mind space, and the time to train it. Or he could just abandon it. He had never wanted the foal in the first place! It had all been a terrible mistake... Now, he had had to pay money to loan a horse to plough his fields, as well as the money to feed the pregnant mare extra! And even when she had had the foal, he would still have to loan, as she couldn't leave the foal. Well, maybe she would have to. "Dumb horse..." he muttered under his breath, as he stood leaning against the crumbling grey brick wall. "Hurry up for goodness sake!"
He watched as the horse gave one last, desperate effort, and the small grey bundle slid out into the straw. "Finally!" He rushed over to the foal and started rubbing at it with a towel. He sighed as he checked the gender. "A girl!" he muttered. "At least I could have sold a stallion for a little more!" He sighed again, and left the mare with the foal. What the careless man didn't notice was that the foals mother was lying on the ground, not moving.
Later that morning, he came back to the old barn. When he saw the dead horse, he cursed and swore. "I'll have to sell the stupid thing to the kennels. I might get a little money if I sell her for dog food. And the dumb foal will have to go. I can't afford to keep a foal! I'll try and sell it, and if no-one wants it... I'll abandon it. I don't care if it survives or not!"

Chapter 1 - New Home

Later that night

I struggled to my feet, looking around. I was standing at the side of an unfamiliar, long, country road, bordered by a hedge and some grass, as well as some tasty-looking dandelions. It was the middle of the night, and I was freezing, and starving hungry. Looking down one direction of the road, there was nothing but darkness. I turned slowly, and saw hundreds of bright, multi-coloured lights shining in the distance. They were yellow, red, blue, white, green, orange, and millions of other colours. I could make out shapes of large tents, a big wheel, and hundreds of little stalls. In the distance, seperate from the others, in a smaller field, was a medium-sized white tent. I didn't know what it was, and if it was safe or not, but I thought 'It has to be better than out here in the freezing cold. It looks... warm'. I slowly walked up the road, stopping every few seconds to rest, for I was weak and tired, but I eventually made it to the large, open gates. There was a big, bright, red and gold sign, hanging to the right of the gate that had 'Spelman's Travelling Circus of Wonders' spelt out in bright lights, and below 'featuring Lisa's delightful dancing horses!' It was very bright, and hurt my eyes if I looked straight at it, because my eyes were only used to the dark.
I looked up, at a rustling sound, and saw a small, teenage girl slowly walking towards me. She was quite tall and slender, about 14 years old, and she had long, golden-blonde hair tied back in a pony-tail. Her eyes were blue, and they seemed to sparkle in the light. They were filled with kindness, and happiness. The girl said to me, "Hello beauty. Are you lost? Come with me, you'll be safe. I won't hurt you." and similar things, in a soft, gentle voice. I was scared, and backed away from her, but the girl was gentle and patient, and I soon realized not to be scared. I let the girl come to me, and stroke me. I nickered at the pleasant feel of the girl's hand running down my neck and along my broad back. When the girl walked slowly into the large field, I followed, not wanting to be left alone in the cold, dark night.
The girl led me along the side of the large field, past the few people still at the circus at this late hour, and into the smaller field, to the white tent I had spotted earlier, and went inside. I cautiously followed her inside, not knowing what to expect. What I saw made me snort in suprise. In the tent was a large fenced area, with some smaller fenced areas within that. The whole thing was covered in straw, on top of the grass. The suprising thing was that there were about ten large horses, all grey like me, standing in the paddock. I had not recognised the scent, because I had been around no horses but my mother, and her scent was mingled with blood and pain. The girl stroked my nose, then walked over to a tall, blonde haired man. He looked a lot like the girl, with the same blue eyes as her.
I heard the girl say to the man, "Please Dad, can we keep her? You know that Harriet's getting old, this little foal could replace her! Please? She's very friendly!" She stroked me gently, while gazing up at her father, with pleading eyes.
"Fine, you can keep her, if we get Mr. Spelman's permission! As long as you take all responsibility, and you will be the one to train her!" the girl's father said. He smiled at her, "You know I can't resist when you ask me something! It's those eyes, you use them to your advantage!" he jokingly accused.
The girl hugged her father in delight, laughing, and saying "Thank you Dad, thank you!" Then she turned, and led me into the paddock. She led me over to a large horse, and said "This is Harriet. Now Harriet, you need to take care of this little horse!" Then she left me, and ran out of the tent. I gazed after her, wondering if she would be back.
The big horse said to me "Hello. What's your name?"
I replied, "I don't know. I don't have one."
"I'm sure Lisa will give you one. She's really kind."
"Who is Lisa?"
"She is the blonde girl. She's very kind."
I nodded, that made sense. From what I knew of Lisa, she was. "What is this place?"
"Why, it's a circus of course! And we're the stars. 'Lisa's delightful dancing horses!' We're famous all over England!"
I nodded again, asking, "How do you... dance?"
Harriet laughed. "It's dressage!" Seeing my confused look, she said, "We... perform moves. It's hard to describe."
Just then, the girl (who I now knew was called Lisa) returned, holding a bottle of milk. She handed it to me, "Here baby, drink up." As I was drinking, a firefly flew into the tent, and landed on my nose. "I know what I'll call you." Lisa said.
"Firefly"

Chapter 2 - Training

Over the next few years, travelling around England

A week later, Lisa came into the paddock, calling "Firefly! Come here girl!" I nickered and trotted over to her. Lisa laughed, and said "Good, clever girl! Knows her name already!" She stroked my forehead. Then she held out her other hand, which held a small red headcollar. I sniffed at the strange, bright object suspiciously, but then I realised it wasn't dangerous, so I went back to nuzzling Lisa. She slowly slid the headcollar over my head, and buckled it underneath. It was a little uncomfortable, and I shook my head a few times, but then I forgot about it as Lisa fed me a carrot (Carrots are my favourite, I would do almost anything for them!). Lisa smiled, and stroked my neck. She snapped a leadrope onto the halter, and gently coaxed me out of the paddock, out of the tent, and into the field. The tent was in an out-of-the-way corner of the field, so there were no large crowds of people visiting the circus. Lisa led me around the tent, up and down, left and right. I learnt quickly, and Lisa always rewarded me, with kind words, strokes, and (my favourite!) carrots.
Over the next few months, as I grew, Lisa taught me to obey vocal commands, to trot, canter, walk, halt, and turn quickly and smoothly. There was a bond between us that Lisa had never had with any of the horses. I would do anything for her, and she would do anything for me.
When I was a year old, Lisa started training me with the other horses, to dance. I was taught figure-of-eights, loops, flying changes, and many other patterns. I learnt quickly, and was soon a favourite around the circus, performing in short displays. All of this was on a lunge line however. I was not yet old enough to be ridden.
A month before my third birthday, Lisa began training me to accept a bit, bridle and saddle, and to be ridden. I trusted Lisa, and would do anything for her, but this was difficult. I was unused to the unfamiliar tack, and it annoyed me. The numnah was not a problem, as it was simply a blanket, but I hated the saddle. It was so uncomfortable. I would snort and stamp when Lisa tried to place it on my back. Lisa was patient though, and I got used to it. The bit was uncomfortable, but I had no real reason to object - it was only on for a short time, and wasn't pulled hard. The feather plume was tickly, but Lisa made sure it wasn't on for long. In just a week, I had my own fabulous tack made, and wore it happily.
Then Lisa started to train me to be ridden in dressage, and dancing. The dressage was working on the moves themselves, and it was just me and Lisa. I had to wear the tack for this, which I didn't enjoy. The dancing was working as a whole, with all eleven of us horses together. The routine was long, and very difficult, but I still loved it, and always threw myself into it. I didn't hate the dressage, but I didn't love it either. After just 6 months, I was up to the same standard as some of the older horses. Lisa decided to put me into a lead part in the dance routine, as the other horses could then be an even number, which would work better for most moves. I often listened to Lisa talking to her father about it, and enjoyed hearing praise for the other horses and I.

Chapter 3 - Travelling

The circus travels a lot. That is the part of the circus I really hate. The circus has lots of large vans, and caravans, and trailers. After we finish our stay at a particular town or city, the chaos starts. The circus folk pack up all their things, and secure them for their journey. The big wheel has to be taken down, as well as all the tents. Then, all the many vans drive up, one by one, and the wheel, then the tents, and all the miscallaneous items get loaded in - chairs, tables, machines, and so on. They start the journey to the next town, to clear the space. The individual caravans, owned by the circus folk, leave next, driving out the gate, and following the trucks. There is just one truck left - the horse truck. The horses get loaded in first. Many of us pull back, and refuse, but after some gentle persuasion (and some tempation, there's plenty of carrots!), all of us are loaded in. Inside the truck, there are 12 individual stalls, seperated by metal bars. The floor is covered with straw. In the side of the truck, there are about 20 small windows. Lisa comes with us horses in the truck, and her father drives - Lisa's mother has already left with their caravan. Lisa is always there to reassure us, and to calm us.
There was one particular trip that I have always remembered. We were headed from Sheffield to Leeds, a relatively short journey. I had been put in a stall beside Jane, a horse that I have never got along with. We were travelling along a particuarly bumpy stretch of country road, and were being rocked about like mad. It was very uncomfortable, and all of a sudden I was flung into the wooden bars that seperated mine and Jane's stalls. The bar cracked, and fell apart. I flew into her, and she was pinned against the wall of the truck. She screamed in pain, and I screamed in shock. Lisa yelled out "Stop the truck!" but it was already stopped; Lisa's father had heard us scream.
Luckily, neither of us were seriously hurt. We both had bruises, but no more than that. Jane hates me though, more than ever.

Chapter 4 - Performance

Two years later, just outside Coventry

The spotlights were shining on the entrance of the large blue, red and yellow tent; the crowds were cheering and clapping as the trapeze artists left the arena. A voice boomed out over the loudspeakers, "And now, the moment you've all been waiting for! Lisa, with her fabulous dancing horses!" Ten grey horses, wearing only plain black halters with black feather plumes trotted into the ring. When all ten had entered, and started cantering around the ring, five going clockwise and five going anti-clockwise, I trotted in, looking beautiful with a black and gold headcollar with a gold feather plume. Lisa sat on my back, on my special saddle, wearing a black leotard with gold horses sewed onto it. Her long, blonde hair was tied back in a ponytail, and her feet wore gold ballet pumps. We trotted to the center of the ring, where the other horses filed up, double file, behind them. Lisa stood up on my back, as the other horses filed past. The two of us stood in the middle of the ring, and Lisa shouted out commands to the horses. Most of them knew it off by heart anyway. The horses did figure-of-eights, leg yielding, and other dressage moves, seeming to dance around the ring. This kind of routine took months to prepare, so the same routine was generally used for every performance, though it never ceased to amaze the crowds. Then came the finale; the crowd watched in amazed silence, as I stood in the center, and the ten horses arranged themselves in a ring around her, all facing inwards, and bowed* in unison. Then the horses trotted out of the ring, followed by Lisa and I. We left to cheers from the audience.

Firefly still travels with the circus, and is happy with Lisa. They have an unbreakable bond, and are almost never apart.

I understand that by adopting this creature I take full responsibility for it.

Random (rubbish) drawing of her. If I don't get her, whoever does can have the picture, if they want it. I know it's no good, but I'm a rubbish artist who uses paint

Image

*And yes, horses can learn to bow

I know the whole performance thing seems kinda over-the-top and also kinda impossible, but it's not real, so...

I'm PMing Lihmeth with it now :)

    Reason You Want It:

Well, I’ve been looking for a horse character for a long time now, surprisingly. So I’ve just been floating around looking for one. But all of them were too complicated or too bright or just not my thing, and eventually I thought I’d give up. Thank the gods I found The Agency, because I was able to fall in love. In love with this design? Why, yes. Yes I am. It is exactly what I wanted, what I love, the kind of style and markings that make my heart skip in envy when I see them on someone else’s characters. I don’t think this design could be improved on in any way at all, as it was just made perfect. But, why was I looking specifically for a horse character? So I’d have inspiration for learning how to draw horses. She defiantly would receive fanart from myself, would be a stunning model, and would be heavily taken care of.

Honestly, I’m hoping, praying that I’ll get her, because I would love to be able to write stories and use her as a main character, draw meaningful pictures and make her the subject, role play and possibly make her a beloved constant character, and most of all, to be a base design to use whenever trying new things out. She wouldn’t go to waste or sit in a corner collecting cobwebs, that’s for sure.

    Personality:

Half wild, and half tame. The humans put things on her and get on her back and force her to go places, and take control over her actions and lock her away whenever they see fit. But she doesn’t fight back. She’d never dream of fighting back. She just sits there and takes it. She sees all the other horses are thrilled with this life, but something inside of her cries out for more. More room to run, to graze, to kick and play. More animals to talk to, more freedom of her actions, and something more to entertain herself. But she thinks that’s more of a dream than anything, and quietly eats her hay and watches from the corner of her eyes.

In truth, she’s a calm horse. Never picking fights, and just more easily submitting or walking away. She doesn’t like to be spooked or approached from a blind side, but wouldn’t make a big deal out of it if it happenes. She doesn’t see the worth in fighting over everything, and so separates herself from her mother and her mate, and grazes in a corner. None the less she isn’t an outcast. She has many friends at the stables and no enemies, she just doesn’t feel fit to prance around and talk to them all day. She says all she needs to with that morning’s body language.

Favorite thing to do is listen to the rain from her stable. It can’t touch her, but she can watch it and admire it. But when it comes with lightning and thunder, she’s bound to raise a fuss until the humans treat her special and calm her down. That’s probably the only moment you’ll get a rise out of her. Good thing she doesn’t live in a very thunder prone country, though Oregon does get a lot of rain all year round.

Of course, she does have her [unknown] father’s wild blood. This makes running a favorite, leaping over things, feeling the wind in her mane. She loves being outside, and watches the forest and open fields from where she stands every day. She feels that if let outside, she could do so much more and be able to fulfill so many things.

    History:

The lightning racked and she reared with a shriek of a neigh. The thunder cracked and she started bucking to get the human off of her back. He held onto the reins, screaming at her to calm down, but with one final leap and thrust of her back legs, he went flying right off and into the grass next to them. Inar didn’t even look back at her trainer and ran full throttle down the path, hooves pounding a rhythm and eyes wide with fright. A fallen log crashed in front of her and she leapt over it, landing with a thud but getting a foreleg caught in a branch. She fell with a scream as a bone curdling snap came, and she collapsed in the agony that overcame her vision. She swore that she heard howling and barking before she fell unconscious.

      ---

Waking up, she saw she wasn’t in her ranch any more. She was surrounded by pale figures, glowing as if they stood in the moonlight. But from what she could tell, there was no light at all. They nosed at her and nipped at her ears and shook their heads, manes flying in the air. And it seemed like every single move was in slow motion.

Inar, pelt bristling, attempted to get to her feet, but as soon as she put her leg down, she felt pain curl up and around it like the fire of a dragon. The horses laughed at her attempt, whinnies coming from their voices, only they sounded distant and pained. “Do not try and move, hybrid. We’re here to talk to you.” The horses immediately stopped and parted for a mare to come through. She was a beautiful tone of grey with silver markings draped over her body. For the first time, Inar looked around to see they all had that same scheme, though every horse’s markings were different.

“You, mare, have died. Died from a broken leg and the wild dogs in the area reaching you before your trainer. And it’s your fault. Why did the heaven’s music and lighting frighten you? It’s not going to hurt you. It can’t hurt you. But yet you run from it. Run before the rain falls and the rainbows arch across the sky and the sun breaks through the clouds once again.”

      Inar looked around, puzzled.

“But, if I am dead, how come the pain in my leg is still so real?” she asked, ears cocking back in suspicion.

The lead horse smiled. Inar was stunned. She’d never seen a horse smile before. She didn’t know they could. She tried it herself but it just felt awkward and she snorted. The horses around seemed to continue to be entertained and scratched at the abyss with their hooves while neighing.

“I am the one that continued the pain. Your leg isn’t broken any more, but I figured you wouldn’t run away if you couldn’t move. No harm in telling you now, though. You’re hooked. You’re asking, ‘why am I here’ and ‘why do you all look like that’.” She trotted forward and looked Inar straight in the eyes. “We are the ancestors of the Royal herd your father belonged to. They are faster, stronger, and smarter than any other horses. You are lucky to have their blood run through your veins, and it’s a shame your mother had to be normal. You should have been born a queen! Lead our herd for years to come, but yet these humans put their reins and saddles on you and show you off. Well, no more. We, as a council, have decided to restore your life; in return, you may not go back to the humans. You must stay with the wild and lead us. You are smart and know the ways of the other animals, and that will make you a god in our eyes. So what do you say, child? Are you willing to give up that brown coat for a grey one? That blaze on your snout for our pureblood markings?”

Inar, too dazzled, wasn’t able to respond right away. She just gaped around her. She had no idea her father had been wild. She thought he had been the only other Arabian in the stables. Her mother and him were close enough. It could have been possible, but yet, here she was, being told about a race of horses she didn’t even know existed.

“I…I…” She wanted to. Leave everything behind. Forget competitions and the humans and being locked in at night. Forget being fed what they wanted to feed her and having these things on the bottom of her toes. Forget having her mane and tale pulled up and braded and tugged until they hurt. Forget the spurs and whips and being taught how to do tricks. She wanted to decide her own life. And now she knew why she had always felt that way when so many other horses were content. She was half wild. “Of course I’ll go back to my father,” she said.

The leader simply touched noses to her and then backed away. “Get up,” she instructed.

Inar pushed herself up, wearily testing her leg first but finding it right as rain, and finally getting to her feet. Then, a light sprang out of the ground and surrounded her. She bunched her muscles in preparation to buck or rear or do something to get off her, but the horses shouted at her to keep still. So she did, shivering and flicking her pelt any time something touched it or played with it. And eventually the light went away.

Shaking her head, she didn’t feel any different. Not better than any other kind of horse, but when she looked around herself, she saw to her amazement that she was gorgeous. Pelt a light grey, silver markings glowing and making her eyes twinkle. They were so simple and elegant and she had to be broken away from looking at them to speak to the lead mare. “What now?” She asked.

Then, as if the ground fell from under her, she fell straight down. Plummeting into darkness she yelped and twirled and didn’t know when the ground would come to her. She strained to look in the direction she guessed was up, but nothing of the other silvery horses remained, and instead she hit something solid with a shriek.

Head pounding and body aching, she looked around her. She was in a forest. That wasn’t anything new to her, but upon closer examination, she was where she had broken her leg jumping over the tree. She scrambled to her feet and pranced around, nervous of what was happening. She looked back to check her pelt, just as another piece of lightning and thunder hit. But this time, she felt them as something more than a fire starter and a loud noise, and neighed along with it. The rain came and poured immediately, and she basked in it, before wheeling and running away from the ranch in which she had grown up. She was going to go to the herd and become a part of them. Finally, she had something worthwhile to live for.

[[ If I get this character, I plan to turn her history into a full story and post it up to CS. ]]

    Favorite Things in Life:

Watching the rain, running around the pasture whilst gaining as much speed as she can muster, bucking and kicking [though she wouldn’t do it at someone, she just spontaneously will rear and such], when going out for rides being given much more freedom, listening to wolves howl in the midnight hours, watching the foals jump around the pasture and play with one another, speaking to her mom and grazing with her from time to time.

    Art:

I will be drawing a picture of her when I get the time. ^^ And if I win her, she’ll have many pieces in my DA gallery [link in signature].

EDIT: Here she is ~ Hope I win so I can use her to model my full bodies, which make your eyes bleed if you look at them. xD This was an attempt at a Mustang. Fail. I know. xD

Introduction - Hello there! My name is Amanda Beck, and I'm the co-owner and co-founder, alongside my dad, of the Whispering Willow Stables. Yeah, it's a fine place to retire a horse. So you're interested in taking a look, eh? Sounds fine to me, just don't bug any of our residents. If you have any questions, let me know. Oh, you do? You want to know the story behind our most amazing horse? Well, that's a strange request, but sure, I'll shoot! You've probably heard of her, no? If not, I'll dazzle you. Her name is Chairde a Shábháil, "Saving Grace." She's the most amazing mare I've ever been privileged to meet.

As you can probably guess, she's my horse. Yes, my little baby Grace! She's definitely very beautiful, mild-mannered, gentle, and yet still horse-tough through and through. Never thought I'd be so fortunate, you know? It's as if fate was the divining light that brought us together. You say you don't know about her? Well, she's a news-worthy show girl if I ever saw one! You really don't know? Well, I can show you to her, but first, have a seat; I need to tell you all about Grace, just so you can be sure you don't get confused or have any mix-ups...

Description - We'll begin crafting our horse as we do any desirable model, starting with a large lump of clay. The clay must be lightweight, but strong and thick, to replicate any shape you can imagine. Now start crafting the clay with your hands; if you use tools, it won't be the perfectly natural look, and will just be robotic and machine-made. We always use our hands when we work, so you must feel the clay and see the shape it will soon take.

This shape must be larger than anything you've ever done before. Though it is still small, you're to be creating a horse of true magnificence and beauty. Now, the build of the clay must be strong, made with powerful strokes and a steady hand. The bones should always remain thick and yet delicate; they can never break, obviously, but must be able to move without breaking other things as a consequence. Strokes must be long, and contain as much strength and mass and ability as your hands put into them. Now

The hooves must all be equal. Make their size as even as possible, and remember the size. They are average for a horse, but small and light in their design. They reflect the power of the legs, and finish off the long strides with something to cause any artist great envy. As if they are a word, a single word, that throws itself across the page we call Earth, making turns and changing itself up to be something pleasant and desirable. These very hooves must be able to help bring tears to eyes and soften many of otherwise cold hearts as they trot about powerfully.

The tail is a blunt bob, as any horse, and has yet to be adorned. Small and strong, able to hold itself up under the weight of all the hair. We'll have to decorate it later, along with adding a very silky mane. Let's smooth out the neck, making sure to be careful around where the hair will soon enough be placed. We must work down to the back, giving it the slight dip, specifically making it noticeable between the withers and the point of the croup.Follow the body lines to contour an appropriate shape.

The face must be done last, of course, so your hands are soft and gentle on the delicate details. Start around the poll, creating the thinest layer of clay to later form ears. These ears must be very small indeed, as if they were newborn ears. It doesn't make a difference on most horses when it comes to ear size, but here, it'll be what gives this horse a little bit more of a defining shape. Down to the muzzle must be smooth, with the grooves and delicate indentations that form what we call a face. They are what makes this horse look most like a horse.

Time at last to apply the hairs. The first layer is your coat, the softest and finest chestnut cloth available. Carefully cut it to shape, and set it up so that it enhances the little details on the clay sculpture, and does not cover them up. As you do so, be especially careful around the face. As you work, you should begin to feel the horse almost breath beneath you. It should be as if it is only just starting to come to life, for in fact, it is. The color of the coat is important, the placement is absolutely specific, and all of this sets us up for the rest of the horse.

Next you select the hairs for your mane and tail. They are the matching, identical twins in this world of immense color. A shade of difference and the horse will not be proper. So choose your brilliant chestnut color wisely. You must stroke out with a very fine brush all the hairs, first individually, then more and more together, until you have a tail. Gently stitch and sew it on, as it is very fragile indeed. You must do the same for the mane, only this time sew on each hair individually. Now you've got a few steps left.

Eyes. Eyes are another key divining point on a horse of such brilliance. They must be a stunning shade of green, approximately the shade known as Pigment Green. They are very large, gazing out at the world with such wonder and curiosity. Capture those emotions and paint them into the perfect green eyes. Once you have completed this rigorous task, you may ever-so-carefully place them on the horse. Lightly sew the backs in, so that they stay but are movable when the horse desires a view or a gaze.

It's time to paint the hooves. Choose a shade of grey, somewhere between dark grey and silver, to adorn the hooves with. The color should be similar to that grey used in the hooves of horses. If you can get the grey to look like that, you've done your job well. Paint the two back hooves in downward strokes with the pretty grey color. Then paint the remaining right hoof grey. Now your task is to take a shade of gold called Flax and paint the remaining left hoof. Keep this gold out, along with the green of the eyes, for the last step.

Now the best part of all, and the final step to completion of the horse. You must create a wonder so impossible it is easily believable. You will paint your horse. Take the same shade of gold, and make stripes. A ribbon wrapping around the neck, following the lines of the horse as if it was a necklace to be worn. Then around the upper part of the neck, like a choker. Next paint the area between the fetlock and the canon. Then one that wraps around the face near the muzzle, which also follows the bones along the face up along the bones of the eye.

Finally, you must get out your green color. Paint over every band of gold except the lines following around the ribbons over the eyes. Mind that you leave a border of gold around each green space, or painting it gold will have been for nothing. Once you've done this, finnish off by painting a band from the gold around the face up between the gold leading along the facial muscles, stopping somewhere on the forehead. You have now completed the beautiful horse that we all call Gracie.

Personality – Grace is an amazing horse in so many aspects, it's hard to even describe her personality! Alright, let's start with an angel. Cross with a kangaroo, and a rabbit, and a very sweet housecat, and a mild-mannered secretary, and maybe a few other things I can't quite think of at the moment, and you get Grace! She's as calm as a sot breeze on a sunny day, as sweet as honey and cream, gentle to all manner of creatures and critters and people. Yet she's born to fly, with powerful legs and a mighty jump that can touch the stars.

First, though, I'd like to describe her angelic disposition. She's a horse that will sit in a corner and take all the love you can give her, and more. Often Grace will call to me, just to nuzzle my hand and show me that she loves me. She does enjoy the attention her kindness brings, too, and absolutely adores when we have children over. She's the kind of lovable horse I use around the little ones, especially when we're teaching the young kids how to ride for the first time. Which leads me to her second attribute, her gentle nature.

Gentle only begins to cover her. She's as calm as a pool of still water, though she wasn't always like that. Mostly she's a very soft spirit, who accepts discipline and even gives it to other horses on occasion. What a sight to see she is, though, especially for those with a fear of horses. She moves so slowly with beginners, and is never harsh or give any cause for fright. It's almost as if she understands that we can be afraid too, and she doesn't want anyone or anything to feel that way. However, she doesn't normally end up frightened herself.

Now, she's not one to be easily spooked at all. She tends to linger in the open crowds freely, and is quite a spectacle in parades and such. One of the few horses to not buck and jump about amid the lights, sounds, confetti, and candy. It's as if her place is right in the middle of the crowd, as the star of the show and a wonder to behold. She's a bit of a vain horse like that, always getting into trouble to be admired. She loves to be petted and told she's gorgeous; and because she is, she gets to hear it all the time!

History - The sky was the richest of blues, almost as if it were made of diamonds. A few lazy clouds drifted by, but nothing to mar the beautiful sky. On this day a young foal awoke, to see the world for the first time. She was alone in a small field, somewhere up in the mountains. Pine trees ringed her, and aside from the little breaths she drew in and puffed out, all was perfectly silent. She blinked her sleepy eyes open and looked around, expecting to see someone waiting for her. She was broken to find only empty silence.

The little filly trotted about, still a bit wet from birth, but already eager to get going on the world. She knew the others couldn't be too far away. She was here, and how far could a horse get? What she didn't realize was that horses could run, and she still couldn't even do that. She was practically a newborn, and was still so helpless and lost. It didn't add to the situation that she was so little, and the world was so big. Nobody else, not a single soul. No birds or rabbits or mice or anything. Just the silence to fill her little beating heart.

      -

It was the morning of my sixth birthday, you see. Clear blue skies, brilliant sunshine, and I was just so eager to be up and at the world. Today was the day I knew I'd get my first horse, like my father, and his father, stretching back generations. I was an only child, but that didn't stop me from being loved by a big family. Just, no brothers or sisters. However, when I woke up on this strange morning, I felt so empty and alone. As if I expected to see someone, and nobody was there. The feeling didn't last, though, and I hurried off to my birthday breakfast.

      -

It was several weeks later that the little filly decided she would need to rest. Light sleep was taking its toll on her, and she curled up for a nap. After that little nap, she was off again, wearing herself thin in the steep inclines and declines of the mountainous terrain she had been born to. She was beginning to hear other wildlife, and on occasion she would see it too. But it was a rare occurrence for the little horse. She had just come to accept the fate she had been given. So she persevered and never stopped walking.

It was a year of loneliness before the filly began to grow too tired to continue. Eventually she would collapse for hours at a time, and not be able to move. So she gave up on the walking and searching and hoping. Instead, she found a little nook in the trees and fell asleep. She slept a whole day, and a little into the night, before waking up hungry. After a good meal, she slept some more, and that pattern continued for a long time. Soon enough, though, she was on her way.

      -

When I was seven, I began to feel very exhausted. Not sure why, but it lingered and came and went. I tried to sleep as much as I could, but nothing ever helped. I just felt tired, weak, hungry, and alone all of the time. We went to see a doctor, but they said nothing was wrong. I just needed more sleep. So I kept trying to sleep, and hoped that soon enough it would all be over and done with.

      -

Her first chance and glimmer of hope at finding her family came when she heard something running through the trees. She tried to chase after it, and saw the last of a line of horses. But they weren't like her. They carried strange creatures, which she would later learn were humans. They wouldn't stop for her cries, and she had never practiced running before. So she kept up for thirty or so seconds, and then lost them. Defeated, she knew what she had to do.

She found another little field, bigger than the one she'd been born in, and began to work. First on getting around quickly. Then on a steadier gallop. As she worked, she would grow tired and defeated. But it didn't stop her from working, and it never would. She continued to race hard and fast, and never let anything slow her down and make her hurt. She had to find her way to a better place. And the faster she was, the better she would be.

She trained for a long period of time, and never even kept track of how long it took. It took her three years before she decided she was ready. A lot of training, but she was the fastest thing she'd ever seen after that. And now she was no longer a filly. She had became a full-grown mare. She tested her skills by winding in and out of the trees, and soon enough, she was ready. So she continued on her journey to find more horses, but instead of wandering aimlessly through the mountains, she decided to go uphill, and follow the peak of the mountain along.

Another year of travel passed, and she managed to get very far. She could see in the distance a very strange-looking pile of rubble, organized into what appeared to be a functioning hive of humans. Those strange horse-riding humans. She'd seen a couple more of those horses later on in her journey, but had suddenly realized something. All she knew still lay ahead, and she was deciding her own destiny. So she decided her destiny lay further along the mountains, and not with those horses.

It was another year that the mare discovered her true fate. She was running along happily, when she heard something very strange. It was a growl, or a rumble, or something like that. And then she saw the ring of dogs. Wolves, specifically, all surrounding her and eager for a meal. They barked out things in a strange language she'd never learned. After all, with not a soul to teach her, she couldn't talk, let alone understand others. Only her strangely organized thoughts were her friend.

The wolves paced around her evilly, licking their lips and preparing for the kill. The first one charged and snapped, and she managed to kick it back with her powerful legs. Rearing up, she knocked another away, but they kept getting up and coming. So she had to rethink her strategy. As she did so, one bit her back leg, causing a shooting pain to ripple through her. She knocked clear a path, and began to run. She ran fast and hard, but the wolves were on her heels. Nipping and barking and growling angrily. She kept running, afraid for her life.

The test came rather quickly. A steep drop-off that was a great distance from one side to the other, and she was low on time. Without a second thought she jumped, knowing no horse could ever clear such a distance. But she did. Her hooves barely scraped the dirt, and she pulled herself up triumphantly. A few wolves followed but fell short, tumbling to their doom. The excitement she felt was overwhelming.

      -

It was when I was twelve, just doing some dishes. I felt a strange, itching pain in my leg. I scratched it and it went away, but it was a strange pain to begin with. I ignored it and continued with my work, thinking I must've been bitten by something like a spider. As I thought, however, a strange feeling of elation and success came over me. I wasn't close to finishing the dishes, so this feeling that I had done something great was rather odd and out of place. Oh well.

      -

The wound in the mare's leg festered and grew disgusting, but she didn't let it stop her. The bad limp was nothing too concerning in her mind. It was just a painful little wound that would heal eventually. Problem was, it didn't. She grew weaker and weaker, and slowly lost her focus. She began wandering again, and was hopelessly lost and alone. She couldn't figure out what she had done to deserve this, and soon she was crippled and immobile. She lay down, fell asleep, and...

Waking up, she found herself surrounded by strange creatures. The humans. They stroked her and gently cooed and coddled about her. Eventually they managed to stand her up, and get her into a strange container of metal. She felt trapped and scared, but a sudden feeling of calmness washed over her. She looked outside a small window to see a beautiful girl, human, and very young. The girl caught her eye, and the two stared for a long time at one another. Then, they were off.

The ride was rather interesting, as there were other horses in this same container. They made noise and called out to her, but she couldn't understand them. She didn't speak at all. She was six years old and couldn't speak a word. Eventually she picked up what they meant, her intelligence coming in handy. She could sort of understand what they said by their tone of voice, and how they spoke of certain things. Though she couldn't reply, they kept talking to her, and she was put at ease.

When they reached their destination, it was a beautiful stable. The place was old and run-down, but to the six-year-old mare, it was just perfect for a home. She easily took to her new stable, and rested up very well. When she was awakened, a strange woman in white with odd, frightening tools, stood beside her. The girl was there too, though, and spoke comforting things into the mare's ear. The woman bound the mare's leg, and the pain began to dull.

      -

The day I met Grace was the best day of my life. She caught my gaze and held it, constantly, and seemed to trust me. That's more than I can say about any other horse, especially my little Prize. Grace was the kind of horse that never feared me, or anything I did. She trusted me entirely, and never doubted my decisions. It was amazing to meet her, and I'm so grateful.

      -

The girl, who the mare came to know as Mandy-May, was always very kind. Two more years went by, and the mare learned to speak to other horses, trot, lope, canter, gallop, and even walk properly. It was such a great experience for both Amanda and the mare. The mare was never named, just always got called 'The Mare' or 'That Mare'. The reason for it, according to the other horses, was that Amanda and her father intended to sell her eventually. They already had five horses, and didn't need a sixth. But they never got around to doing it.

The annual Show Jumping competition was coming up, and the star horses owned by the Becks were very enthusiastic. Prize walked about talking up a storm on how he'd win, and the mare would just listen and laugh. She didn't really understand the whole Show Jumping thing, but the other horses loved it, and so she decided to play along and have a good laugh too. It was something she learned more and more about.

Amanda took her out to graze in the arena, which was old and unused. While the mare grazed, Amanda went off and saddled up her star jumper, Prize. Sir Prize In A Tux was his full name, and he was the best of any show. As she hopped up and began running him around in the newer, better arena. He didn't have the best of luck that day, though, and as he made a great jump, he fell, twisting his leg and unable to get up. Amanda's right leg was caught under him, not at an angle that would injure her more than bruising, but enough to keep her from moving.

The mare heard Amanda's cry, and knew what she had to do. Racing full-speed, she leaped over the gate enclosing her arena, and raced over to clear the gate of the new arena. Both were fences that no horse was supposed to be able to jump, at least not so easily. The mare managed to get Prize up and off of Amanda long enough to get the girl free. Amanda's parents hurried out to see what was going on, and they were surprised to see Amanda smiling, eyes wide with shock, fear, and excitement. They had their winner.

It was two weeks to the big Show Jumping competition. The prize money was $2,000. And the worst news was yet to come. Amanda's mother hadn't been doing so well lately. She'd been in to see a doctor, and discovered she had cancer. A little bit on her nose, nothing serious. The operation would take a day, and the only available time was during the Show Jumping contest. Even if it was a small competition, held by the horse owners in the area, it was still sad news. It was made worse, too, by the fact that the two horses that did Show Jumping, Prize and Moon, were either injured or without a rider.

The biggest bit of bad news came that same day, too. The family was exactly $2,000 short of being able to afford the operation. Yes, the exact amount that was to be won. It was hopeless until Amanda brought up some good news; she retold the tale of how the mare had come to save her. So it was decided. The mare would compete for the money, and even if she didn't have any formal training, she had heart, and that was the most important thing to have.

      -

I remember getting ready for the competition. It was the scariest moment of my life. I put on my helmet, got into my outfit and gear, and then saddled up and prepped the mare. She needed a name to be entered into the show, I knew, and I selected mine wisely. I named her Chairde a Shábháil, which was Gaelic for Saving Grace. She had been my saving grace indeed. The longest part was when we first trotted into the arena. It was the best and worst time of my life. Leaning forward, I started Grace off. "Let's go." I whispered into her ear, and we made the first jump...

Two notes, I'd appreciate everyone reading these.

For starters, if you were going for one of the above characters and want to know why you lost/won, please PM either this account or my account, Tae. I will be happy to give you answers. This was an insanely hard choice, for all the results, and I don't want anyone thinking they lost because their form sucked, alright?

Secondly, I will be judging #72, #74, and #103 tomorrow sometime. This is not another useless excuse, in reality it has taken around 2 hours to judge the above, and while I'm fine with that, it's currently 1:15am over here, and although I still won't be going to bed for awhile yet, if I judge anymore I won't even be able to make an honest decision because I'm so tired. Thank you for understanding.

All questions asked in regards to the code-drop, donations, pretty much anything directed at this account... will be answered in the morning.
