Use:
I've been looking for some new characters. Mostly for art and roleplays. Plus, this guy would be awesome to write stories of! :3 I'm working on my drawing skills, and I really like his markings (simple, since I'm not the best yet). I recently got a tablet, and I'm still learning how to use it so I want some simple stuff to start with.

Personality:
Frostbite is a gentle, caring, and friendly, if a little shy, wolf. He is soft-spoken and kind, and has a great sense of humor. Always willing to help out, he is somewhat overprotective and very loyal. He's very kindhearted and is a dedicated pacifist.

He's shy around strangers, but willing to make conversation. He loves having friends that care about him, the more the merrier! He would never

History/Background:
Winter. A fierce blizzard ravages the snowy, moonlit plain. In a small snow cave, two wolves huddle together for warmth. Between them are three unmoving pups. One of the wolves, the female, looks at the three pups with tears in her eyes.
"They were born too early, Thrush. We shouldn't have gotten our hopes up."
The female's hoarse voice cracks as tears slide down her muzzle, splashing onto the floor. Thrush licks her cheek sorrowfully, his eyes closed.
"It wasn't your fault, Kiva. You tried your best to keep them alive."
The two carry the limp bundles of fur into the raging storm and, with some difficulty, claw away the dirt and snow to bury them. As the pair turn back to go to the cave, the female twitches her ears at a weak whimper from the snow. She burrows into the piles of white flakes instantly, the male quickly joining her. A foot or two down, a tiny blue, white, and grey pup lays. He lets out a small mewl and tries to claw toward the female. Thrush sniffs it cautiously.
"What could it be doing here?"
Kiva shakes her head, not caring. She stares at the pup a second longer before snatching it up and racing back to the cave. She warmed him up as best she could and whispered into his ear. "Frostbite. That's your new name, my gift from the snow."

Written Personality:

The Avian Wolf

Lexi Is often never on the Earth, mostly because the planet is far below her paws.
She is a beautiful wolf but does not look to herself as attractive, but does love her Blue Jay pattern and feathers.
She wears nothing but the fur on her back and the feathers on her wings, though she does like the idea of having a small silver hoop earring.
She has no issues with other animals and is actully quite social, though she normally restrains herself to 3 or 4 friends.


The Leader

Lexi is more of an indenpedent wolf and likes to stick to herself.
Most of the time she can make the best of things or 'walk it off'.
She is consitered loved and respected to her friends and acquaintances.


The Loner

Lexi is often times Enjoys being alone and on her own, believing that just because she is alone doesn't mean she's lonely.
To Lexi, the pattern of a blue jay on her fur and feathers is a sign that she is a symbol of freedom compared to the unfair and hard world around her.
Though she loves being around her friends, she has never been very depended on them and a lot of times disagrees with the choices they make and their lifestyles.
She does enjoy being hard headed sometimes, she feels it gives her a chance to be herself and have a voice and opinion in the world.


The Bird

Lexi has a hard time connecting with other wolves and even her own friends.
She belives the cause is to be that she sees the beauty of the world and her friends haven't due to flying.
Lexi does not look at the world as selfish, conceited, and evil as her friends do.
She likes to look at the world as beautiful, rare, and wonderful, maybe because she has seen its beauty from everywhere, even through the eye of a bird.

Why Lexi?

I really just like the name, it came to me naturally when I saw her picture. I did not want to name her something cliché like Skye, Jay, ect. The name I choose doesn't mean anything in a different language, mean anything special, remind me of anyone, it was just pretty. Me naming her Lexi I think actully fits her personality- a normal wolf (with wings) that wants to make a difference in the world and sees the plannet differently than others.

Keep working on those forms. We've hit a little rudder since our new thread and are receiving about a third the popularity that we usually do, likely due to the character designs trade and sale forum, but I'm determined to get these characters into some good homes, especially the older ones.

Again, our code drop is April 19th-20th.

Wes, you could possibly get someone (I'd be willing, or you could even do it yourself) to gather a ton of new character designs. Then you could remove all the character who haven't got much interest (put them in the urgent care) so you would have way less characters then add in all the new characters that have been gathers (like a....starting fresh type thing.) to try and get more people interested. My problem when I come here is the fact that there is so many characters that have been there since... like, before I got skyerunner. And not many new ones, but the old ones make it hard for my computer to load the page so I don't bother going to try and find the 1-5 new ones.

We got some negative feedback about the urgent care because it requires too little effort to apply for anything, so it's too easy to get the characters into a home that then later will turn around and donate them back because they never did anything with them. Perhaps if we devised a shorter form that requires a bit less effort than the regular form and created a new version of the urgent care, that could get the characters into homes more quickly, but they'd still receive homes that know how to develop them properly. Opinions?
