I only really pet my ermine every once in a while when I'm showing my friends what it is. My one friend even named it Snowy so now it's stuck with that. But I really want a wolf pelt because everyone thinks you can't be an extreme animal lover yet still own the pelt of the animal you love.yeah, space is a problem. i have barely any room for anything in my room due to the three mounts that i have already, but i could find some room for a wolf of course hah
but yes, i own the pelts of animals i love, i mean, you have toove them when they're dead, too!
also i am seriously in love with your ermine gah
@ cindy - i do know that a lot of people here donate, but i myself don't. other than that, though, i don't know if there really is anything you could do to help wolves. clubs really don't do much tbh.

gosh, i'd kill for any kind of mount D: taxidermy is so cool. I used to have a fox tail does that count as taxidermy but then my cat ate it :c

they're terrified of my bat eared fox mount, though, and would probably freak if i ever did get a wolf. at least that might keep them out of my room!
having a wolf mount would be amazing, though. having any mount is, of course - but for some reason i just have a thing for wolves when it comes to fur and taxidermy [and am actually probably going to be getting another wolf pelt soon, but i can't decide which of the two i have my eye on i actually want to get agh].
but anyway, welcome, wolfsong c:

how much do good wolf pelts usually go for? when i get a job later this year i'm going to start saving up for a couple owothe two i'm looking into are both #cdcdcd00, but lower quality pelts can be anywhere from $100-300 or more depending on the seller, but mountable or complete ones are usually anywhere from #cdcdcd00-$2,000. it depends on the color of the wolf, the quality of the fur, tan and skinning job, etc. but the cheapest complete/good quality pelt i've ever seen was $250 c:
@starfred - yes, pelts are very good for reference and education. i'll never understand why people are against fur in itself - while i can understand being against hunting or trapping, refusing to associate with fur itself is rather silly and those people are missing out on quite a lot haha.

Eagle's Flight wrote:Well, I'd like to say that I would be against fur because that ould mean you'd have to kill the wolve to get it. And I don't find it usefull to kill an animal for it's pelt. Personaly, I wouldn't want to be caught dead with an any animal skin, wether it's cheetah, tiger, bear, wolf, or anything. Although, if there are artificail pelts out there, I could see how they could be useful. But there probobly isn't; correct me if I'm wrong.
