The Tanaes
{Pronounced;; T-ah-nay-es}

A new species on Earth ... The Tanaes. A wolf-like creature with large splayed paws and a strong build, the Tanaes were unknown to humans until recently. Deforestation has pushed the Tamaes out of their secluded rivers due to pollution, and now many roam streetsof cities, far worse for wear than they might of been. They have three gills on their neck, unusual for most mammals like themselves, that has enabled them to adapt and live beneath the water. However, many build homes like the Platypus or Beaver. Their homes consist of dens built with an entrance by the water, but the inside dry. The Tanaes have three eyes to adapt to the gloom of this den, where they spend most of their days, the network of burrows connecting two or more Tanaes. Along their neck and spine, and overhanging their tail is a fluffy mane, and on the back of their hind legs rest more hair like such. The Tanaes coat can be any colour, though most often their mane and leg har are the same colour, and often a bright one at that.

The wild Tanaes

Here you can adopt each Tanae as it comes out. I warn you though, it is really difficult to win them. Why? Becauyse it is your jobs to 'speak' to them, to convince them that you are the best fr iend they could get. We'll let you know when one is available by changing the title, since only one will be out at one time. The Tanaes will give you an introduction when they meet you for the first time, this'll give you a good idea of what they are like. However, this persuasion should not control the Tanaes! Good luck in winning one's heart!





A pitch black Tanaes, apart from his markings, padded from the shadows on silent paws, only the twitch of his ears showing he was living. His red-orange eyes stared at you from the exterior coal black surface, and it was slightly chilling, his glare was. When the Tanaes spoke, the voice that came out was low and gruff, and showed he though very little of humans.

"I am Koru. I have little time for such people like you," He sneered, "but I suppose there might be someone. Prove your worth." He sat on his haunches and stared at you, sending a shiver down your spine. Will you try?

Her name is Akiak, which means brave in Eskimo. She's loyal, and lives up to her name under any circumstance you'll give her. She prefers to be alone or with a small group, and loves nature deeply, especially the colder months. She loves ice, the cold brings her comfort. She can be snappy if she is threatened
The Tanaes: I'm going for Koru, he's the most adorable thing! (: Like seriously, he's so cute!
Persuasion: Akiak glared at him, " I know what it feels like to be alone in the dark, in the shadows." She said giving him a look that could send shivers down even Koru's spine. " I'm not a princess buddy, have some respect please." She caught herself, remembering her task to persuade him to join her. " I'm sorry can we start over?" She sighed then smirked. " I'm Akiak. Nice to meet you." She smiled charmingly. " I don't bite, but I can be a little snappy. Well, anyways, I'd appreciate the help if you'll come with me." Her blue eyes pierced through the dark, glaring straight to his soul. Like lightning, she flashed, and lunged, pinning Koru to the ground. " How about the time you prove your worth?" She laughed playfully, then relaxed, letting him up. " I think we'll make a great team."
