Well, if you don't mind, I'm working on some gift lines for the WTEs! ^^ I'm so excited, yay!

Almost done with my entry for the contest! I hope this is based on effort, not quality. Faint pencil marks are showing from my 7 different tries on the head. :L
Also, thank you so much for the breeding! I'll send info soon and payment now!

Oh, that's good. I've taken ages doing mine trying to make it look really quality-ish, and now I realize it's just on effort and creativity. Oh well I like mine the way it is and I'm not changing it XD

Well, I'd like quality if possible too, that'd be good brownie points, but not everyone is on the same level of experience with art.

...Where do I put my contest entry? I've finished it, finally! I am just so happy and excited right now. You have no idea! I poured hours and hours of time and loads of effort into this, and for that I really hope I place, because I really did just work so hard on it. Good luck to everyone else, and may the truly best art pieces win! ^^

My art features my persona, Cynthia, leaning almost casually against a tree in a dark, wooded forest, although amber light can be seen shining in the sky. She has one elbow leaning on the tree, her head kind of lolling, and one arm stretched out with a tender hand gingerly reaching towards my wonderful and lovely Kira, who is staring at her with a slightly wary expression. I think I did a really good job on this, and I would love some critique! ^.^

NOTE: I apologize if it is dark and/or blurry. It is supposed to have a shadowy contrast despite the ambery light that almost shines from within the forest. If you look really close and really hard you may be able to see the faint sun rays streaking across the paper. I did do this traditionally, and if you would like a touched-up, more clear and visible digital version, Pause, just let me know, and I can get that done as well, although I'm not quite sure when I'd be able to turn it in, whether I'd be on time, or even turn it in at all.

Aaaaannnddd...here it is!

That took 4 days of picking up, working for a bit, and setting down.
So, what is happening in the picture?


Mind if I accompany with a story? If not, it's fine, but it's got a complicated backstory. xD

Anyways, story. Regardless. :L

"C'mon, Sidney! It's simple, and you could make a lot of dough!" Another boy chimed in and snorted, "you could even buy that llama you wanted!"
At that, the whole crowd roared with laughter, and the teen in the black sweater they directed the joshing to grew very red in the cheeks. Finally, when the joke had subsided, the girl dubbed 'Sid' spoke up. "Well, what's your wager?"

Tapping her feet in the grass, the boys huddled together. One pulled out a notepad and wrote a few things on it, and then passed the sheet around. When they were all done, the 'leader' cleared his throat and faced the girl once again. Clearing his throat once more, he started reciting the things on the paper. "10, 10, 50, 90-" "Good god! Who wagered 90?!" A 9 year old boy stomped his foot and crossed his arms. The leader boy gave him a shove and continued. "20, 20, 35, 5. 240 dollars. Are you in or out?"

The girl pondered for a moment, then stuck out her hand. "Deal." With that, one of the boys motioned towards a rather haunting forest. "Well, go on. You don't get the dough until you pluck a tail hair."
In her worn down jeans, the girl in the black sweater hesitantly started walking down the path. "Be back here in 2 hours, no later! And you better have that one hair!"

30 minutes into the forest, Sidney hit the jackpot. 7 horses were gathered together, grazing in a herd. Two spotted horses that were rather furry and horned remained alert at the front of ther herd, and one rather cute stallion remained along with the rest of the herd. He had to be a red roan; with a beautiful bushy tail and gorgeous striping. She watched him prance in place. He was smaller and more mishapen than the others. He couldn't be older than 2. He looked slower than the others, so she set out about finding a distraction to scatter the herd.

Looking up in the trees, she saw a rather chattery bird. She searched the ground for a sizable stone, and threw it up at the bird. With her impeccable aim, she skimmed the bird so it set off an alarming call. The best thing was that it must have announced that danger was on the opposite side of the herd from where she was, so after a small moment the herd started to canter off in her direction.

It was very dangerous, but she jumped in front of the small red roan. Being the back of the herd, he lit off the other way, to the girl's relief. But there was no time to lose, so she sprang after him. After 2 minutes, she was starting to get tired of sprinting. Her muscles ached. Fortunately, a log blocked the path ahead. She would have the stallion cornered and she would snatch the hair and run back.

But what the red roan did shocked her. With a huge propulsion, he vaulted into the air, over the log, and landed perfectly in the creek that was on the other side of the obstacle—log, if you didn't get the hint. With a heavy sigh, Sidney threw her arms over the log and hoisted herself up. This was going to be harder than she thought.
