It's fine. I typed that shortly after waking up, so I probably did an awful job of explaining myself and made little sense. XD

Kitty- I'm not planning to leave, because all the mods seem to be telling us different things. Hekomi seemed to be fine with us debating so long as things didn't get out of hand, Ricorn seems to think we shouldn't be debating at all, and other mods seemed to have other opinions. So until we get a definite answer from Tess about the debating, I don't see a reason to stop.
It is in the first post now so I'm sure tess agrees, if it's there she's not likely to say much more about it.
We were allowed to debate before, but all the points have been gone over ten times by now, and there are too many users being rude, so we were asked to stop.

Was that what I was asked about for the poll? No, and that's why my vote isn't changing. Tess did the poll to ask if we wanted them all to look uniform, and I don't. If they're changed I want the equi horses to be in one of the line-art edits. At this point we all know they will be changed no matter what, so I'm actually voting for the question asked. (Which it's perfectly fine if people want to vote yes or no for other reasons, that's just not what I'm doing.)
This. IMO, I think there should be a whole new line drawn for the old horses and ponies, so they still are distinguishable from the newer ones. There should be a "running horse" line made for the old horses, and since what people like most about the older ponies (or from what I've seen, and what I like about them) a pony line similar to that of Equi's and with the mane over the eyes on the ones that have that and for the "newer" Equi ponies, no hair over the eyes. Since that would be an easy edit to make on the lines, longer hair, shorter hair, like the dogs have different ears and tails. My opinion.

I vote no because like repainting the Mona Lisa for making her with a tee-shirt and a duckface, redrawing the pets of chicken smoothies is spitting on your, short but still, history. In 10 years, you will be happy to see the old design and says " Look like we are better now ! "
I'm proud to vote NO

Don't you think it's rather mean(not to mention childish) to compare Yul's art to 'redoing the mona lisa with a tee shirt and duckface'? It's quite the opposite actually- her designs look improved, if anything.
If we want to continue the painting analogy, murals and old paintings are often touched up because they wear with age. While Equi's horses aren't wearing or deteriorating, I think if it became clear an old painting in an art museum was a rip-off of some other painting, it would be replaced.

She wasn't saying that yul's art is bad, she was trying to point out that she didn't think they should redo the lineart, just like they shouldn't redo the mona lisa.
