The Ahz and her dear friend walked silently through the cave that lead into Ahzen. A smile beaming on her face at the sight of the Vortex and the familiar surroundings that she had missed so much. With a small nudge at her companion, she bounded off towards the land bridge. Smiling still as she eyed the waters surrounding it. Her bright yellow eyes soon caught sight of Valcyon and she gave him a warm smile before she glanced back to her friend.
"It is not how you remember it, Joseph?" She asked him as he drew closer to her. He gave her a small smile as he stopped beside her, placing a hand on the back of her neck and petting her lightly.
"Oh yes, it's as great as it was when we left." He replied as he adjusted his grip on his sketch pad and supply of charcoal. Looking at Zisis, he gave her one final pat on her shoulder before he turned. "Don't you remember the first star you spotted?" He asked her as he walked on, Zisis quickly catching up and walking beside him with a smile still.
"Yes, why wouldn't I?" She questioned him in return as they walked closer to a trail that lead away from the Vortex. Her eyes going to it for a moment as it spun lazily. Joseph had simply shrugged in reply and walked over towards a tree. Sitting himself on the ground and glancing up at Zisis as she eyed a butterfly on a nearby flower. She smirked lightly and flicked her tail and lowered herself into a pouncing stance.
"The little thing will see you before you get anywhere near it Zisis. You're quite large after all." Joseph commented as he opened his sketch pad and grabbed a piece of charcoal, outlining Zisis form as she still inched closer towards the butterfly.
"Ha-ha, how funny." She deadpanned as she suddenly swiped a paw at the insect. Creating a draft that caused the butterfly to loose its grip on the flower. It quickly rose into the air and Zisis swiped her paw at it once more. Joseph let out a small laugh as he watched her silently, sketching as he watched.
Surprisingly, the butterfly never wandered far from the area Zisis and Joseph remained in, giving Zisis the chance to amuse herself for the time and allowing Joseph time to draw. This went on for some time before Zisis attention went towards the Vortex as it suddenly began to change slowly into different colors.
"Joseph, look, a new Ahzenai is coming." She told him as she sat down and looked at him. Joseph looked at her before her closed his sketch pad and turned his gaze towards the direction of the Vortex. Oh yes, a new Ahz was certainly coming. If Joseph was correct, this one would be quite different if the change in different colors told them anything. When the Vortex suddenly went completely white, Joseph and Zisis watched closely to see the Ahz emerge. Joseph couldn't help but smile at the coat the Ahz had.
"Quite the little mess he is." Joseph joked as he watched the Ahz still. Valcyon soon announced his name, Mactak. A unique name for this very unique Ahzenai. Zisis has simply let out a small giggle at what Joseph had said. Not responding to his small comment as she listened closely to what Mactak was saying. Once he was done, she looked towards Joseph with a small smile.
"Why don't we speak to him? He would be nice to have around, right?" She asked him as she cocked her head lightly while she looked at him.
Joseph nodded in agreement as he spoke, "I think we should, it would be nice to have another artist around, and he would enjoy a lot of the food we try as we travel." Joseph told Zisis as he slowly rose from where he sat. "Come on then, lets introduce ourselves."
