viewtopic.php?f=10&t=179515&hilit=+lirrie you can also find this in my signature (ps some of my characters are getting art as we speak XD)
Personality: Sheacara is a real ladies man but he does know when to stop and smell the roses. He has had a bad past and most of his family is gone but he remains on of the toughest males. He has yet to be beaten in the mating fight that take place during mating season but he does have his share of battle wounds. His left horn at the very end is chipped from where he got caught in a battle and their horns locked (you will learn more about this in the story). He has loved and lost love but he remains one of the happiest looking Parduseros.
Likes: He loves to fight, he loves the ladies, running and at mating sesone he likes to gther jewels in his fur instead of feathers.
Dislike: Other male Parduseros who arn't family in his territory and others hurting his family or kits.
Theme Song:
Blessid Union of Souls - Brother My Brother,
Even in Death (Song by Evanesence)500 word min, 1500 word max story OR a drawing that depicts their personality(You may also do both.):
I trotted onto the field of battle ready to take on this male for the right to mate. We stared each other down, both our coats sparkling from the jewels we had scattered in them. We both wanted the same female which meant we would have to battle it out and whoever lost would loose breeding rights with her. We snarled at each other showing off our aggressiveness and strength. When that didn't scare him of we both charged our heads down horns ready to take the impact.
The impact jarred us both and we staggered back getting ready to raw the other again. He rammed me before I was ready making me stumble a bit then he bit into my shoulder taking first blood. I roared in pain and shook him off. He tried to surprise ram me again but this time I was ready and took him by surprise. My horns hit his sternum and he grunted in pain. Then he was on the defense now and I was winning the battle, he tripped and I took the opprotunity to get my own bite in making him roar once again in pain.
We backed away from each other ready to ram again, this time though something unexpected happened. Our horns got locked together and when that happens its a pain in the tail to get unstuck. We both struggled against each others horns, trying our best to get free. In the process of doing so I accidentally chipped one of my horns and to this day it is a reminder of that day.
The female had long left us by the time we got untangled and we had both lost our chance to mate and the will to fight. He staggered away to mend is broken ego among other thing he had broken that day, I layed down and licked the bloody sholder from where my rival had bit me. If I didn't clean it soon to disinfect it it would get infected and I would not only risk loosing my leg but my life as well. Finally clean of the blood, dust and debris the wound felt and looked much better but I knew I would be walking with a limp for awhile.
This would also put me out of commission for the rest of mating season which meant I wouldn't further my line this time. I moaned in disappointment the got up gingerly and limped back to my jewel encrusted cave. My shoulder was hurting badly by the time I got there so I just collapsed on my pallet of straw, hurting to much to go on. I must have fainted because when I came to it was morning and my shoulder was stiffer then a board.
I got up and walked out to the small pond that was by my cave and waded in which seemed to help a little with the stiffness. Soon I was able to wade with ease though my shoulder still hurt and my pride was a bit broken as well. I knew that next year I would have another chance to fight for my right to mate and I would take that chance. This time I wouldn't loose. The Next Year
I smacked my horns into the side of my cave, making sure to catch all the crystal fragments, It jarred my old injury from last mating season bringing back the memories. I had chipped one of my horns in that fight and I was hoping it wouldn't effect my performance this season but it seemed it might. I caught all the crystals I could in my fur then trotted out of my cave.
The suns heat warmed my fur as I stare up at it feeling the power in my muscles. This season I knew would be a good one because I was feeling particularly powerful. I scented the air, I could smell a female nearby, and a male. Maybe this year I would finally get the chance to mate. I went looking at a pace that was fast yet wasn't a run, and finnally found the male and female in a oasis; the male was clearly trying to impress her but not doing a good job of it from her reaction.
When I got closer I could see it was my brother, now believe me I love my brother but we were not always on the best of terms and I really wanted this female myself. I gave him a challenging roar which to him must have been a surprise but then he returned it full force. We studied each other for only a moment because we already knew the others strengths and weaknesses by heart.
Then we charged, I moved to prevent a full on charge because of my still weakened horn and caught his horns with my unweakened one which caused me to fall back quite a bit. It also cause his attention to take notice of the weakness and I knew he would use it to his advantage. He pushed against my horns in a way that made me have to use both or be pushed down. When he did that I used both jolting my weakened horn with pain; I staggered back away from him shaking my head in pain.
He took his chance and ramed me, sending me staggering again. I bit into his nose this time and let go almost immediatlly. He roared in pain shaking his head repediatlly. He backed away seeming disoriented from my bite then looked at me like he didn't know if he should continue fighting or not. He looked at the female then seem to decide to continue fighting was worth it.
He charged head on and I had three options to make: to dodge, jump over him or meet him in charge and try to toss him on his side when we locked horns. I decided the last would be the best option and I turn to meet his charge locking horns with him. I twisted my head and sent him toppling over with the force of the twist. Then I went for his neck being sure to keep my stomach away from. At this angle I could break his neck or crush his air pipe if I wanted to. He continued to struggle for a few moment the went limp in defeat.
Once he did I let him up and we bowed to each other for a good fight and he left off to try to win another female. I had won mine this day but had it not been my brother I don't know if I would have.Anything Else?:
Explanation of the Songs:
Brother my Brother by Blessed Union of Souls: This song ties in with the second part of my main story, in this part he sees his brother and they fight over a female. The song is an epitome (if im not using this right tell me) of the fact their are things better to fight for and they should show some brotherly love.
