((Sorry guys! I am awful at the whole coming on and replying on time thing. Okay, I have one note about Everine- she's already in danger of breaking my rules. If her "strength was growing rapidly, far too rapidly to be stopped" she's obviously powerful and getting stronger- she's a student, if you want an extremely powerful character they have to be on Kastor's "board", and you have to contact me, okay? Sorry if I sound snappy.))
Leonard stiffened instinctively, senses warning him someone was listening, but he relaxed when he sensed Everine's magic- he didn't care if she listened, seeing as they were only making plans to meet up later- for now anyway. He knew the wizard didn't like him, but he doubted she would bother following them later or trying to make them talk now, if she could even hear them clearly enough. Instead he focused on answering the two girls, starting with the cold one who seemed to think he was about to attack her, or something along those lines. "You can't tell- I'm guessing neither of you are wizards, so you can't scry me,and anything I say could very well be a lie. I don't expect you to trust me, that would be foolish considering we only just met, but mayhap you've some test in mind? Anything you ask me to do that can prove my sincerity would work." Leonard said, meeting Laila's gaze with determination and flame glowing in his eyes, but not defiance nor anything threatening. "And though I can't say there's much worse than what happens to the staff's little experiments I do understand your meaning." Though some may take her words as a threat he found them more interesting. Lots of people made empty threats, and wether or not she would be able to actually hurt him was up for discussion-but she was obviously very willing to try.
Jake was easier, he at least knew a little about her, and about the friendly salamander who was apparently clinging to his leg, a fact Leonard would not have realized if not for the girl's shift in gaze. He wondered vaguely why Mugi had stayed with him but decided it would be best to ask later, maybe when they weren't all already in danger of angering their teacher past her breaking point. At least the woman teaching "history" wasn't taken seriously even by her co-workers, unless Kastor took an interest in them they could get away with most things in that class. Some, however, were rather different. "Then if you trust Hino, see if she trusts me. I'm curious to see how that works actually, is magic involved or does she read body language?" He kept his tone light, hopefully casual even if it was formal, something he tended to do when meeting new people. "Bring her to the library then. Shame you're all woman, we'd be much safer talking in the dorms-I could send Haley, but for all you know I tricked her. For now, however, we have a teacher to deal with- and I worry that she might burst a vein if we wait any longer."
((Let's just say class is almost over- everyone ready to end that soon? It's going pretty long...))
