Hey CS! I've decided that since my teachers and peers have encouraged me so much that I'd start a story on CS, my favorite website ever! Please feel free to comment and critique here.

Dear Journal,
Well, umm, hello there. My name's Mare and I'm in eighth grade in middle school. Always a fun time, right? The girls are prissy, like Amber and Chelsea, and most of the guys are full of themselves. I don't know how many other wolves lives you've listened to Journal, but I'm probably the only girl in my grade who doesn't like anyone as anything more than a friend. I do have two really good guy friends though, Gordon and Lyke. Gordon is really really smart and plays guitar, drums, piano, and almost any instrument you can
think of. Lyke is probably every girl's dream wolf. Totally laid-back, easy going and pretty good looking. I'm really still not affected by it. He draws really well though. Once I remember he drew all of us together, Gordon put bunny ears on me, Lyke stood kneeling in the middle, and me and Kylie stood on
the edge, trying to act like this was a normal day. It was actually the first day of seventh grade and our first day in middle school. Oh, and Kylie is my best girl friend. She isn't as tomboyish as me, but we get along really well and listen and understand each other completely. All together we're really just a bunch of misfits who don't fit in anywhere else. The intelligent musician, the handsome artist, the pretty listener, and well, me. I guess I'm "Your Average Joe". I'll have to think about that one.
And as every wolves' life, there will always be the opposite force, opposition, enemy, whatever you want to call it, but really just downright mean. That's Amber and Chelsea, the average mean, popular girls who everyone likes for no apparent reason. They're pretty brutal, but not in the way you'd expect. I mean, yeah, the tease, and slam lockers in people's faces, trip, and have cat fights all the time, but it gets worse than that. Once your targeted, your locked on their list of targets for their own
entertainment. I've managed to steer clear of them so far, but I think that might change soon. I think they're starting to take an interest Lyke, so obviously that's a great reason to target me and Kylie, right? Well, at least I'll always have my sarcasm to defend myself, and that's the one thing I actually don't fail at creating comeback with. Not that I really have any use for comebacks. Or sarcasm for that matter...
Wow, I've been so busy talking about my friends and enemies I totally forgot to talk about my personal life. That's basically what a journal's for, right? So, I live in a nice
little house in the middle of a quiet little town. I mean you could set a nuclear bomb off and wipe us off the map and I don't think any one would notice. I like to draw and paint, not of other people, but of landscapes and inanimate objects. Lyke sometimes helps me, but I have my own style. I've been told by all my teachers that I am a really talented writer, and I kinda hoard stuffed animals. I play flute, the only instrument I'm able to successfully play, and read quite a lot. Sadly though, my father died when I was only just a pup; two years old, and when I was three my mom died of heart failure. I
live with my adopted parents
Laura and Gary. They had a son when I got there at five years old, a just born they wanted a companion for him. He's eight now, and I'm thirteen. His name is Jonah, and he's
alright, just wants to get into everything I'm doing.don't ask about the Viking stuff. All dogs Get into an impersonation stage around his age. His just happened to be a Viking. I mean mine was a butterfly. I think my family's dinner will be ready very soon, so I'll have to leave you here.
Sincerely and Never-Changing,
Mare
