Welcome to Xeren Canyon, a flourishing canyon hidden away in the center most area of Mexico. This beautiful area thrives with jackalopes, Ahuizotis and Chupacabras. This large and inviting area is surprisingly little known to even near by villages, those only several miles away. Some as the land is protected by a spell to drive away humans, other say it is simply chance that it as only now been discovered. But, not the point of this story. The point is, we've recently discovered some very unique and intriguing creatures there, besides the other cryptids who roam the area. These new creatures, for lack of a better name, are called Canyon Lions. They seem to be the unlikely cross of a goat, canine and lion. Featuring the back legs of a mountain goat, the distinct mane of a lion on males only, and the body type and face of a canine. They rank superior on the food chain, due to their massive size and incredible adaptations to the area. Males, called brutes, averagely stand 5' 5" at the shoulder, and weigh around 190-250 pounds on average. Females, called hinds, stand around 5' 0" at the shoulder, and weigh averagely 170-220 pounds. So far, the largest recorded Canyon Lion stands at 6' 1" and weighs nearly 310 pounds. They prey on anything moving, and more recently have developed an appetite for the humans who have intruded on their habitat. They are strictly carnivores, seeing as though they will die, or become extremely sick, if they directly ingest any sort of plant life. They can withstand the worst droughts, going without water for weeks, even months at times, and once all recourses have run out they can fall into a sort of "death hibernation", a period where everything in the Canyon Lion's body shuts down, even its heart and brain. The Canyon Lion will stay in a large, under ground den in this state of temporary death for several months before it wakes up and searches for food. Since its body shuts down entirely the Canyon Lion doesn't digest the food it had in its stomach before its hibernation, so it doesn't starve over the period of rest.
Canyon Lions travel in large groups called Parliaments. There is once dominant brute, the king, who mates with all the hinds, and there is a dominant hind, who bears the most young and cares for other hinds' young, or Calves, until they are weaned. The lions mate in mid winter, and their gestation period lasts for 10 months, so the calves are born near the beginning of winter, when it is cooler and the water is plentiful, as well as the prey. The king is very vigilant of his parliament and will chase off any rogue brutes seeking to kill a hind's young and take her as his own, to bear his calves.
Now, you're probably eager to know just what a Canyon Lion looks like? Well, take a look here

these are very basic, but all you have to remember is..

Please don't make five orders in one day. I am only allowing each person one order a day, no matter how much you offer me in payment. I will still cancel your second order even if you offer me a bunch of my dreamies. I just can't keep up with the orders if you do more than one. Also, don't order if it says we're closed. The title will tell you if we are open or not.

don't steal my art, and don't use my lines unless I give you permission and you are an artist. If I or any of the staff catch you stealing any form of the Canyon Lion art you will be reported immediately. You'll have to pay for your lion fair and square, like everyone else.

Use the form provided under the 'Customs' title to apply for a custom Canyon lion, and a 'Litters' form to adopt a litter Canyon Lion. They are two very different forms.

Payment must be reasonable to the quality of the Canyon Lion's design, since there is no chart to specify certain payments for certain lions. If I think your payment is too low or too high I will notify you.
