Hello, my name is Kat.
I have come because
I have decided to woo
the lovely Persica.
She is gorgeous beyond
imagine, and she
reminds me of a pretty
flower, which is what
she is based off of,
right? Anyways, my
woo isn't going to
be all fancy-shmancy,
like a few of mine have,
but I assure you it will
be heart-felt and maybe
a bit personal if I have
enough muse and time to
work that element into

I am trying to include all
my Ahzenai into this woo,
but the main Ahz will be
Ichi, as I think she relates
the best with Persica.

Dark clouds formed above the vortex. It had been working hard all day, releasing three creatures into Ahzen's depths. One, however, had managed to catch a young girl's eye. She waited and watched, as suitors came and went, looking and wooing, but the girl just gazed. She knew what she had to do, but she wasn't sure how to do it. Maybe she would just talk to her? Or should she offer the Ahz something? Whatever she was to do, Persica would be the one with the bullseye on her back. But it was her job to convince her it was no harm.

She watched and listened, for any sudden movement. Her eyes darted back and forth from each of the Ahzenai. Four of them, standing in a strait line. Their tails twitched, and their ears flicked back and forth whenever the girl breathed. "Listen up!" she said sternly, her pale blue eyes crossly squinting at them. "Whoever took the last bit of cake, they better fess up now, or none of you will get dessert." she crossed her arms, "Ever." a small grin formed across her tan face. Weeks outside working were hard on her skin, and her once-pale tone had turned to a medium-dark. Her caramel-brown hair was braided neatly down her back, but it still reached almost to the bottom of her spine.
She stood, arms folded, her slick smile wiped clean off her face. "Well? I was planning to make some fudge tomorrow, but I guess I'll have to eat it all by myself." she looked at the ground as if to pass the time, but really she was waiting for someone to confess. Finally, a muffled giggle arose. She looked up to see Thazel trying to cover her mouth with her bushy tail, but her laughter could still be heard.
The girl glanced at her, hands on hips, "Thazel? Really? I totally had my bids on Oelaer." she shook her head. But a smile spread on her face, just a small one. She knew it was Thazel all along, but she wanted the rest to feel guilty and nervous anyways. She knew how much they liked fudge.
Suddenly, she heard a cry from behind her. The girl spun around quickly to see people crowding all around the vortex. She heard someone yell, "There's three of them!" and "The vortex is exploding!" she she had to check it out.
Well, the vortex wasn't exploding, but three Ahz had appeared. One of them sauntered off to go hide in the shadows, while the other two had gone off to lay in the sun. The girl stood back aways, watching them go, but didn't say anything. They were both gorgeous, and seemed to have a very tight bond. Are they getting wooed together? she wondered, her head tipping slightly. Suddenly a gentle nose poked her hand, and she turned to see her dark purple Ahzenai, Elvira, nudging her. She was about to ask her what she could possibly want, when Elvira spoke up for herself, "Look at them. Everyone seems to be loving that depressed-looking Ahz." she scuffed the earth with her straight horns, and murmured, "I bet he's thrilled." Elvira always paid close attention to the darker Ahzenai, as she, too, had her own specialties in that realm. Elvira had strong suits in witchcraft and Halloween-type things, so they fit in just peachy with her.
As Elvira stalked away with her tail-tip twitching, Ichi bounded forward, her eyes sparkling. Her round wet nose poked her in the side, and she looked hopefully up at the girl, "Who are you going to woo? I'd like to come with, unless you are going after that Sang guy. I think Thazel has a crush on him..." she grinned and looked at the cat-like Ahzenai, and giggled, "Scratch that, I know she has, like, the biggest crush ever on that guy." she rolled her eyes at Thazel, then turned back to her, "Please let me come. I promise I won't woo her myself, just give her a little, ya know, push."
This time the young tan girl smiled, and just nodded without a word. She motioned for Ichi to follow, then walked quietly over to the sunny spot Persica and her sister laid resting. She sidled closer, then looked at Ichi for help. "What should I say? I've never really talked to any "quiet" Ahzenai..." Ichi rolled her eyes again, then ended with a long glare. Ichi was one of those types, more reserved and gentle, so she must have some sort of knack with them, right?
The two shifted around slowly and walked up, Ichi in front. She wore a big grin, and her steps were determined and strong, not shriveling and nervous like her owner's.
Ichi proudly sat next to Persica, wrapping her long orange tail around herself. "Hello, and welcome to Ahzen. I can't imagine how exciting your journey was here!" her voice was light and cheery. Still, the girl hadn't spoken. "My name is Ichi, and this... is Kat." she gestured to her with her dainty paw, still grinning. Ichi took a few hops back, her ears alert and pricked to her what Kat would say.
She stepped forward, palms clammy and face flushed like they always were before a wooing. She cleared her throat, and sat about two feet from Persica. "Well, um, hey, she stammered, glancing at the purple Ahzenai next to Persica. "I get that you guys are pretty close, and protection is big with you guys, huh?" she wanted to say it. It was rolling around on the tip of her tongue. But how would she bring it up without sounding desperate? "I actually had a sister, too. Well, she's still my sister, but she didn't want to come to Ahzen. She doesn't actually like me very much, believe it or not." she said, bringing her knees up to her face and wrapping her arms around herself. "Well, I'm sure there are tons of other people waiting, so I'm not gonna waste your time with my sob stories and trinkets. Just, remember me, okay? When you look out into the crowd of suitors, think of that one person who is also looking for you, who is waiting, biting her nails to stubs as you make the final choice." suddenly, pushing away any tears that dare to form in the corners of her eyes, she slowly stood and brushed off the clinging grass. She smiled, staring at the ground, and then looked up to meet Persica's eyes, "You may need each other, but there is also a person out there who needs you." Me! she wanted to scream it, let it all go, but she just smiled softly and blinked it away. She said her thanks before shuffling over to Ichi again, trembling, "Was it... was it okay?" she asked. Ichi just nuzzled her, "Good." she whispered, "Very good."
