I don't want another being to consume my life. I don't mind kids but unless mine turned out super cool I'd probably be one of those parents who hated their life.
also that makes me wonder about the people who can't conceive and spend thousands of dollars and multiple years with "treatments" (child friendly) and stuff like that. why....? there are so many kids out there who are suffering, maybe you just weren't meant to have children, why put your body through all this crap and waste all that money? why not donate it to a charity supporting orphanages? why not adopt? our nieghbors have been doing this for almost 3 years and they're seriously THE most miserable people I know. I understand that you want a baby. those treatments work for many but there's a certain point where it's just unreasonable.
I concur as well. Why bring another kid into the world, much less waste tens of thousands on it because you can't concieve, when there are plenty enough children orphaned or in foster care that need a good home?
Honestly? It just seems really selfish to me when there's an easier and far more beneficial solution that they simply just don't use.
Of course I'm sure at least one person is going to flame and/or foe me for saying that

Are older cookies better or something? Girl Scout wise?
