The dark brown and white spotted wolf-like creature watched the activity of the vertex with quiet curiosity. He was the picture of calm, his crimson eyes viewed everything with a half-lidded expression, and he stood stalk still as he hung back in shadows. However, he was like an excited young pup on the inside. His heart was pounding hard enough he feared it would pop out of his chest and his paw pads were itching in anticipation. He wanted so desperately to go up and talk to one of the summoned Ahz, but fear had kept him from moving so much as a whisker. They all were so wonderful and awesome, but all so different too. Maryaeth seemed so....angry, yet so powerful. He wouldn't have to worry about any danger with him around, but he was too afraid he would offend him and would wind up being the victim instead. Fulviere was the complete opposite. She was gorgeous, calm, and kind. She seemed much more friendly then Maryeath, but she also seemed too relaxed. She did not seem the type who would want to get exciting situations or exploring new places.

The middle Ahz, however, caught his eye. This one did not have an element, unlike the other two, and was born sleeping. At first, he had thought it was born with some sort of problem, until it woke up with a start, yowling about the ocean. The wolf-like creature tilted his head from one side to the other, an amused expression on his face. Yes, he would definitely try talking to this one. Slowly, he heaved himself to his paws and started to weave his way in between the other suitors to talk to this curious Ahz.

"Hello." His voice was soft, and he was suddenly nervous being in front of this much larger, creature. "I-I couldn't help but hear you talking about wanting to see the ocean." He swallowed hard and took a deep breath, all the composure he held before coming up to the Ahz had completely disappeared. He was nervous and excited, and the emotions bubbled inside and he started bouncing slightly on his tip paws. "My name is Nimbus and I come from a very warm place. I have never been to the ocean, but I would love to go there some day and explore it." He took a deep breath and readied himself for the next bit. "Well..what I am saying is...if you want to...you can come with me? That is if you really want to see the ocean after all." His fluffy tan tail curled over his back and it wagged hopefully as he waited for an answer.

Timestep shifted nervously from paw to paw, his eyes darting two and fro from one person to the next in the large crowd that was gathered around the mysterious swirling vortex. The tiny dragon-like creature had only heard of the land where he stood now through rumors and stories. It was only by pure luck that during his travels he had stumbled upon the cavern where the Ahzenai were born. Now Time realized that the place was more well-known than he had thought, much to his distress. He despised crowds.
The dragon creature watched in awe from the trees a safe distance away from everyone else as the vortex began to spin wildly. His eyes widened when a fierce looking Ahzenai emerged from the churning mass of colors. The rumors were true. Ahz were born from the Vortex! Timestep carefully crept closer towards the edge of the cliff he was perched on to get a better look at the scene below. He watched as people approached the Ahzenai, trying to convince it to stay with them. "How curious," Timestep thought, tilting his head to the side slightly in confusion. "Perhaps this is how Ahzenai obtain companions?"
The creature had no more time to ponder the matter as the Vortex began to spin once more, this time with renewed energy. He observed the phenomena in wonder. What kind of Ahz could emerge this time? Timestep's curious smile fell into a frown as a sleeping Ahzenai appeared from the Vortex. He had to perk his ears to hear the Ahz's name. Aesil. Time then watched as the odd Ahz leapt to his feet, shouting something about the beach. This Ahz seemed different to Time than the first. Curiously different. Timestep suddenly longed to talk to the strange Ahz and see what he was like. The dragonic creature eyed the crowd. "I may not get another chance to meet an Ahzenai like Aesil," Timestep thought. He took a deep breath before exhaling it sharply. "Now or never," he muttered and gracefully leapt down the cliff.
Timestep wove his way through the crowd that was forming around the Vortex, slowly making his way towards Aesil as a third Ahzenai stepped through the swirling colors. "H-hello," he stammered, feeling small next to the dark-colored feline creature. Time cleared his throat loudly to attract the Ahzenai's attention. "H-hello," he stammered again, raising his voice slightly so that he was heard above the sounds of the others swarming around the three Ahzenai. "I-I... I'm Timestep, a Newton. I-it's nice to meet you. Aesil, right?" Time glanced nervously over his shoulder at the people and other beings behind him before turning back to look at Aesil. "S-sorry, I'm just a little skittish with all these people around." He shot a tiny smile at the Ahz. "So you like the ocean? I-I'm pretty fond of it myself, actually. It's very inspiring, being so calm and warm. A lot of great music was created on the beach, from seagull calls to surf rock." Time paused, a light tinge of embarrassed pink emerging on his cheeks. "Oh, I-I'm sorry. You might not like music." He shook off his blush before continuing to talk to the Ahz. "Anyways, I'm a traveler myself, always looking around for new types of music and a bit of inspiration. I-if you'd like, you can come with me. I frequently visit beaches of all shapes and sizes. I-I also stick to the warmer parts of the world, with the lack of a thick coat of fur and all." Timestep smiled widely, beaming up at Aesil. "S-so how about it? Do you want to travel with me?" Time carefully sat down, waiting patiently for the interesting Ahzenai to think of his answer.

as I approach the Ahzenai he snarls at me, when i saw him come out of the vortex i heard his name announced, it seemed to be,Maryaeth I grin at him wickedly and give a mock bow,"why hello their my liege" i say my voice dripping with sarcasm, he was a stunning tawny color, and seemed to be of the fire element. "i came here today...oh i don't know.... well, how do you put this into interesting words? oh yes! i came here to day to find some one to keep me on my toes and on a thread thin line between comfort, and hear death"

I let my voice take on a flattering tone and smile," but sadly, you seem much to intelligent to lead me, i would probably put your talents to shame, i mean, my! just look at you! i bet you could take a bear no problem" i look into the golden eyes of Maryaeth, yup, i defiantly saw malice in them, but it wasn't the overly cruel kind, it was just the kind that came with his personalty. I give one more grin before mock bowing one more time and saying, sarcasm once again entering my voice, "would you do the honor of joining me as an partner in crime?"

Woo: Akrizro sat on the edge of the crowd, all of them approaching the three Ahzenai that had just appeared from the vortex. He stared at a few of the people. Knowing that his blank stare unnerved some, he didn't let his gaze stay upon them for long. He could feel Shiori bouncing up and down next to him, wanting to go meet the Ahz, but staying next to him. "Be patient, you'll get your chance to go meet one of them. It's too crowded at this time, but the crowd will thin." he stated, knowing that she wanted to go meet all of them. "But what if I don't get a chance to meet one before they pick?""Patience goes a long way you know. Calm yourself." Akrizro stood, turning his head to stare at the Ahz that had laid down in the sunny corner "That one, 'Rizo? Why? "You need another calming presence other than me." Akrizro stated, chuckling slightly. "Do you want me to stay here, or should I come with you?" "Come along. How will you be able to tell if she will get along with you? Akrizro said, nudging Shiori slightly. Come on, lets go meet her."

Shiori and Akrizro moved along the edge of the crown, making their way to the sunbathing Ahz. What does she look like? She is a beautiful mix of blues, white and greys. She also has a swirl of gold coming off her back. She is gorgeous looking. Shiori sighed happily. Ah, she does sound very, beautiful. Akrizro said stopping in front of the Ahz. It is very nice to meet you Fulviere, I am Akrizro and the bouncing human next to me is Shiori. Hi! It's very nice too meet you, Fulviere! I do hope I'll have the chance to get to know you more." Shiori said, moving closer to Fulviere. "Calm down, Shiori. Don't crowd her." Akrizro said, pulling her back. He then turned to 'look' at Fulviere, "It is nice to meet you, Fulviere. Do you think you could tell us a little more about yourself?" Akrizro asked, a small smile on his face.

So sorry for my absence, guys. Had exams over the weekend. Just to let everyone know, I'll be working on the breedings this week, and I'll have our winners up hopefully around Friday since I'll be going to a concert Thursday. I took two slots, and actually Bear popped in and took one, so three lucky couples will be visited by a Vorstork <3

The mystic she-Ahz took one last look at the land around her. She had found this diverse little environment ages back, around the time she had decided to finally leave Ahzen. Zahlava sighed as she recollected those memories, from oh so long ago. After her birth from the vortex in the original cycle, she waited many births to see if maybe she could find herself an equal or even a simple companion. Not necessarily for travel, at the time she had never even considered travel, but after waiting for so long and coming out alone, she resorted to travel in order to occupy herself. Her bright eyes skimmed over the forests, tall redwoods back to back with a luscious rainforest, vast rolling hills of green plains as far as the eye can see, rivers, lakes, and streams all running along the terrain, canyons just beyond the rivers, mixes of oranges and gold in different layers amoun the clay and rock, and finally, the beaches and the mountain range. Her little home was bordered by a long serene beach on one side and by a tall, looming, foggy mountain range. She had need been past the mountain range, the fog past the peaks becoming much too thick, almost like a barrier, blocking her from whatever lie on the other side. She took one last look at her Utopia, a place humans have searched for and even tried to build, for centuries. Leaping gracefully off her rock she began her trek to the underground tunnels in the canyons, which would lead her to Ahzen.

When she emerged into Ahzen, Zahlava looked up to the heavens and by look of things, it was already slightly later than midday, meaning she had been trotting in the tunnels for about four hours. She smiled at the thought that she was indeed getting stronger, faster, and improving on her endurance, seeing as she was only slightly tired from her long exercise. She padded around Ahzen, simply to explore this new cycle, since she had not seen it before. The environment was different, obviously, apart from the towering vortex in the center of this new location. She turned her head this way and that, inspecting and admiring everything around her, giving small smiles and an occasional 'Hello' to those she passed. She had decided she was going to take a little rest, but as she got closer to the vortex, she saw a slight commotion up ahead of her and her curiosity got the better of her. She trotted closer to see a giant, or so he seemed, Spartan-like Ahz before her, with a dark grey-beige coat. She overhead what he had to say, catching that his name was Maryaeth. The old, more lively Zahlava might have had a go with him, but she was now a more quiet, reserved Zahlava, it's what happens to many when they don't have any company. She turned, ready to find a nice little niche for her to curl up in and just enjoy Ahzen, her true home, when...

The vortex. It began spinning, with speed and power unlike anything Zahlava had seen it before. She turned her body so as to face it, allured by the inky colors and the wisps of color that tore through the vortex. A blast of sea-salt filled air shot out from the vortex right where she was standing, had she not had her steadfast position, she would have certainly been blown back quite a few feet. She hadn't realized she had closed her eyes, until the gust had stopped and she began tentatively opening one bright eye, then the other, and before her she saw an inky black Ahz. She heard Valcyon's quiet introduction of this new Ahz, liking the sound of his name, Aesil. When she looked down and realized he hadn't yet moved, odd... She quietly padded forward, neck bent, and nose almost touching the ground, she crept closer to the unmoving Ahz, and just as she was about to touch him, a fluffy ear perked up quite quickly. Uh oh... Just as Aesil startled, Zahlava was able to jump back, as he jumped forward, exclaiming what seemed to be the leftover threads of a dream. She watched as he looked widely about, until their eyes locked. She gazed into his warm gray eyes, seeing a true, kindred spirit in the Ahz before her. Once she realized her obvious, and what could have been taken as rude, staring, she looked down to the side, slightly in shame, though mostly in embarrassment.

She slowly looked back up at Aesil collecting her thoughts, before calmly and slightly quietly saying, "Aesil?" She hoped she would be able to catch his attention with a soft murmur of his name, that and she had also been wondering what his name would sound like coming from her maw, and she actually kind of liked the way it sounded and felt. She took a breath and started once again, "Aesil, it... I believe you are recollecting a dream, the dream you had as you were born..." She paused, not quite sure how to continue this slightly awkward little one-sided conversation, but decided she would wing it, "There are not really any serene, warm beaches here in this Ahzen, but I have found a place that you may like. I call it Utopia, for its diverse environment, though I know you would much prefer the beaches." She had to stop again, a small part of her getting annoyed at this, but she realized she was slightly shaking, nervous even. Had it really been so long since she had spoken one on one with another? The next thing that came out of her, was something she never even thought of saying, "Aesil, I see in you a kindred spirit, a warm, caring Ahzenai and... I dearly hope that I may be able to help you find what it is that you seek and maybe by chance, you may even help me find what I seek... I have longed like few have, to find another, an equal even, that I may confide in, share memories with, and spend the rest of this life with, and for a while I had given up hope of finding that certain other, but... As strange and odd as it sounds, Aesil, you have brought that hope back for me. Yes, I do recognize the fact that I know very little of you, but I feel as though you are truly special..." Once she had finished, one thing was certain for her, these words were spoken from the heart, something she had never really done, but always wanted to do, though she never could when she tried, yet at the instance where an old flame was, she had a spark to ignite it.

Knowing that her time with this Ahz was long finished she quietly backed away from him, head down, pondering her worlds and if they were the correct ones. Once she was the length of an Ahz away from him, she pulled her head up, and looked once more in his warming eyes, a small smile unconsciously appearing onto her striking face, before she walked away, hoping a few turns about Ahzen would calm her mind and body.
