The Branded Elkrin

A Crimson War Elkrin is a more dominant species than many of it's kind. They are strong willed and impertinently stubborn. This type of deer though drew a more hardy group of humans to take interest in it's kind and eventually led to these creatures becoming popular among the military people of Alabaster city. The deer were strong willed, resilient, and showed little fear when faced with the prospect of battle, much like the soldiers who rode them. They took them in and used them for various means, documents even state that the Crimson Elkrins were once a renowned cavalry strength within the military, like the Drakes. But that was during a time when Elkrin were not threatened by extinction and now only a few wealthy military families own one of these warlord beasts. One such prestigious family wishes to aid in the process of reclaiming a once proud animal and symbol for his people. A Crimson Stag is being given to one rider who can learn to ride this deer like a true warrior. He wears the brand mark of his rider's family name upon his thigh with pride as was customary to show that he is a purebred War Elkrin. If the stag accepts you then he is yours, and hopefully will one day help bring back his kind to glory like the days of old.

I thought the name fit him perfectly because of the way he fights in wars of battle. He is one that is a warrior to his side, and fights with his strength and will. So, in the end I thought it best to name him Samurai, with a nickname of Sam.
