I was born in California, USA. Apparently and sadly I can believe this, as a child I was a nightmare. I havee always loved soft toys and I still own my first one. He was a black teddy bear with a purple patch on his left side, big black button eyes and a little stiched frown. My brother and I always fought over him. I also own my brothers toy, Flop. My brother did not want Flop. Flop is a yellow bunny with green button eyes and a demented grin. We were very destructive and managed to ruin most of my mom's favourite possesions.

When I was five my mom hurried me off to school. To avoid causing the teachers any grief she sent me to a different school to my brother. At first I was bad at all subjects but as I grew I turned out to be a good guitarist and artist.

At the age of 7 I took up private guitar classes. My mom loved listening to my guitar playing which motivated me quite a lot. My mom said quitar was not enough though and made me play flute aswell, which I completely dispised.

When I was ten I got moved to a girls-only school. Alot of the girls there were mean. I had previously been popular but now I became more solitary and emo. Some of them got their brother to catch a spider in a jar which they then realeased in my locker. When I was eating my lunch it crawled out of my lunch box. I screamed and the whole school laughed. I was mad.

My mom moved me back to a normal school with both boys and girls. I failed maths liked I always used to but I got to got to sevral awesome competitions in a school band. My guitar teacher told me that one day I should start teaching guitar. I did not believe him.

My band nominated me as the person to perform in the end-of-year assembly. The stage had lots of cobwebs around it which brought back chilling memories. I practiced for days, weeks, a month and then finally the assembly came. All went smoothly and I felt proud.

One morning a small dalmation girl came up to me and asked if I'd mind mentoring her because she was falling behind in guitar. I leapt at the oppertunity. She came to my house twice a week and listened happily to all that I had to say.

I did not care that she was 10 and I was almost 14. We were great friends. For my 15th birtthday she got me lots of guitar music books. I was thrilled.

Christmas came and she went away on holiday. I sat in my room and sang while I was watching the rain bucket down.
My phone rang. "Huh?" no one ever rang me. "Hello" a quiverring voice said. "Um.. hi! Katari speaking!" Thats when I got the news my friend Daisy had been killed in a freak accident. I dove into my bed and cried for the poor little girl. My mom tried to get me out of my room but I refused to go to school the next week.

I remained depressed for three months before I could finally see the bright side of things. I didn't pick up my guitar though. One day I was in my room, sitting, thinking. Suddenly one of my guitar books fell of my shelf and hit my head. "OUCH!" I yelled. I then picked it up and slowly plucked out the pieces. It sounded better then I remembered being.

From that day forward I played my guitar every day in memory of Daisy. My guitar teacher said he wanted me to get a scholarship into some fancy music school. I smiled. "Thanks, Daisy!"
I understand that by adopting this creature I take full responsibility for it.
