Rushed, because this week has been hectic, as all weeks leading up to the holidays are.

Reason why you want to adopt it:
Because she's absolutely beautiful! I'm sure you're quite accustomed to my design taste already - the elegant swirl of navy, reminiscent of dragonfly wings, the blanket's gradient that fades from a soft cloudy white to a smooth indigo, the simplicity of the lavender Daeet that, with her white accents, promises a truly elegant creature. Also, frankly, if she is anything at all like your previous design, I'm sure I shall be more than happy, if I happen to be awarded with her. n____n I've also been experimenting more with character development, and I believe I should try to branch out more from the clique of clichés I have in my collection. Hopefully she, along with Lia, will aid me in this.

A mere 2 years, she has yet to experience life's many pleasures and downfalls.

Personality:
Undeniably sweet and charming, she is a mediator. A diplomat. Wait, I'm sorry, perhaps I should rephrase that. She is, in fact, manipulative. Getting her way is something she is determined to do, and in fact her whole life seems to be driven by the motivation to achieve all she wishes to. Ah, but be careful, for there a few choice things she wouldn't trade for the world. Her pride, for example. Should you in any way insult her dignity, then be prepared for a sharp tongue lashing you have never experienced before. Vindictive, she is not one to easily forget and forgive, so you must be prepared when making her your enemy. Then again, Linette, despite her usual short fuse, happens not to be one to hold grudges at the drop of a pin. It will take much provocation to push her over the deep end, as they say, and when that happens ...

Well, let's just say that her name fits her very well. Still waters run deep, don't fall down wishing wells, beware of enchanted mirror-lakes, yes, I'm sure you've heard all that. Linette here is firmly a collected, if somewhat spoiled individual, cautious and calculated, each movement precise and full of subtle intent. If she had the means, she would be an excellent chess player. Though she might look just a pretty face, mild-mannered and decoration, Linette's wits are sharp, and hardly anything she does is wasteful, or meaningless. You may think that then she would be vulnerable, taking her time to decide, but Linette moves faster than you would believe, both physically and mentally.

She is also emotional, dramatic, and all-around a tad bit prissy. Used to getting her way, Linette is not afraid to throw a tantrum, provided that it is engineered and executed flawlessly in order to enable the maximum percentage of her getting what she wants. I warn you though, do not mix up the fact that she is intelligent, and brilliantly so, with being sensible. This Daeet is far, far from rational. You could even say she borders on schizophrenia, the way her mood swings, like the relentless flow of a raging river, the way she believes the world revolves around her, a spotlight unseen to everyone but her. In fact, sometimes she builds castles in the air. (And I'm not even joking)

History:
My my, what can I say? Her history is not particularly elaborate, nor even very interesting. It consists mainly of two Daeets, one paternal one maternal, who were both high-ranking. They mated, purely to keep up appearances, and to produce the ultimate baby. Oh, of course, despite being a 'blue blood', as one could say, that hardly makes Linette anything special.

If anything, it gives her more pressure than she can handle.

In the end, her past has led up to this moment, where she's currently sailing obliviously on a sea of broken promises, crushed hopes and lost loves. What the worst part may be is that nobody can even figure out if she's drowning in that sea, calling silently for help, or on that ship, riding blankly onwards.

Where will it be used?
Hopefully my character thread, but more than likely in my signature. c: And, once again, journals or short stories.

I think starting a journal of sorts will actually be interesting. Or, to expand on an idea I had for a wholly different character a while ago, perhaps from the point of view of someone sent to investigate? After all, she is methodical in her movements and I can easily see her being a secret agent or a spy of sorts. oraninja
