The Mentalist~ wrote:The Mentalist~ |~
the smallest kit piped up first, "Whats a dragon?" Then the second " You don't seem very nice." finally the third " Can you fly?" The three kept on drilling you with questions till their voices seemed to drone together in a varying pitched cacophony that drove you crazy. Their questions were coming so fast and so frequently you could not get a word in edgewise. Finally you roared in agony and shouted "STOP!~" Silence, sweet sweet silence ensued. I will tell you a story MY story. As you sat back down the kits looked up at you with wonderment, waiting to hear the story of your life.
Ridan nodded to himself, grateful that they had ceased with their irritating questions. He snorted briefly, knowing he now had to tell a group of kits a story about himself. He sat down on the pavement and thought briefly, his tail swishing gently across the filthy, filthy pavement. He thought back to when he was a bit older than the pups before him, "Well," he began, "I was older than you by about eight or nine years, when I had heard about this competition. Some people call it 'Blood sport' others would call it 'Hunger Games'." He gently shook his head, "But that doesn't matter. So, there was a traveller that went around looking for people who were willing to kill and be killed for whatever their heart desired. I had nothing to lose so decided simply to join." He told them, shifting his weight, "So there I was, standing by this traveller, when suddenly we where in a whole new world. In a horrible swamp, the water was thick and filthy, and there were eyes watching us. These strange creatures watching us from the shadows. "Good luck." the traveller said before he vanished in the blink of an eye. I began to trudge through the swamp, clutching my dagger." He pulled an old, worn dagger from his boot, holding it up for them to see...

Astra
Impulsively seizing the moment, Astra padded over to the nearest crate. There just had to be something in one of these crates. They wouldn't be so cruel as to just lock her in a crate and not have something waiting for her afterwards. There was something in one of these crates, she just had to find it. Working with nimble claws, she undid the lock to the first crate and lifted the lid. Nothing. Undaunted, Astra continued on to the next crate and the one after it, sure in her conviction that she would find something in one of these crates.

Dusk gasped eyes wide as she looked between the faerre and the shadow silhouette. "I'll be back, I promise!" she called to the little faerre. Learning from the mail room chat how important a courier's letter bag was. She raced off after the shadow her black paws skidding on the ground at a fast potter patter sound. Her eyes were narrowed, determination to help the faerre boiling in her blood. Pebbles clattered as she rounded Fhe corner sharply, her learn form easily adjusting to the slight slip of her paws. "Give the bag back! Have courage to face your mistake and return the bag to the rightful owner." she called after the figure as she raced after it.

Queen Nafretiri jumped slightly in surprise at the sudden appearence of the warrior, as well as the gruffness to his voice. Lowering her head and keeping her eyes off of him as a sign of respect and not defience, she said in a calm, level voice, "Why yes, i do know of the three laws that you speak of. First is that none should betray their partner. Second is that both must show and prove loyalty to one another. Third/lastly is that no Faerre or partner should ever reveal the location of Vinara to others to protect the remaining."

Azbel stared at the curious faerre. He was black and white, his fur seeming to look like bones. And his name was Luck, he said.
“Hello Luck,” Azbel said. “My name is Azbel. I am a wind spirit. And I do not think you are bad, nor evil. You are unique, and that is a very good thing. Your coat is beautiful, and do not let anyone tell you otherwise. And if you bring luck, well, all the better. I could use a little bit of luck right now myself,” the creature said, laughing at her slime-smeared self. “If you would like to come with me, I can take you places where creatures much stranger then you and me roam. We can go wherever you would like, and I will never turn down the opportunity to visit somewhere new.
“Luck, your uniqueness is nothing to be ashamed of. It makes you different, that is true. But we are all different. You only show your individuality on the outside when most try to hide it. This makes you special, and lucky.
“So would you like to come with me?”

Crimson Holly wrote:Well… washroom… bathroom.. washroom.. bathroom… AH!
Standing up you decide to leave this complicated mess for the others to figure out, washroom or bathroom.. it doesn't really matter anymore! Huffing, you turned around the corner, walking ever so slowly, eyes darting from side to side as if waiting to get tackled by something-
BAM!Why aren't you THIS lucky when you participate in a raffle? Groaning you crawled out from under a small petite body, whipping around to glare at the offending object to find a disorientated Faerre on the floor.

"Errr…." the Faerre swayed, focusing it's brown orbs on you. "Oh! You smell!" the strange colored Faerre's nose wrinkled in distaste, eyeing the noodle hanging from your fur. "Ugh. Are you always this dirty?" the Faerre sniffed. "I'm
Cylan, a graceful creature who can't stand the sight of dirty things… I was planning to leave Vinnara to hopefully escape from the dirty farm work…" if possible, Cylan's nose scrunched up even more. "But seeing this… I wonder if staying in Vinara would be the better choice instead." he grumbled.
You've found Cylan! Convince him to stay with you!
Sarill wrote:The Faerre seem to hesitate, cowering behind the gravestone as you gently talked to him. Silence drowned the area as your speech ended and as it dragged on you began to worry that Luck might have fled. When finally, one small ear peeked out before Luck peered around the stone, eyes narrowing dangerously at you.
"Creatures stranger than me?" he wondered softly. "They won't be like the other Faerres right? I'm not scary to you?" The Faerre gently walked over shoveling his bag on his shoulders. "You're strange." he muttered. "But… I'm strange too so I guess that makes us equal." Luck smiled and for the first time that eerie evening, the feeling of fear fled you as Luck's happy smile eased you.
"Oh. But you do smell." Luck whispered cautiously, eyeing the green goo dripping off your pelt."
Congratulations! You've wooed Luck!- Code: Select all

Kale_dragon_keeper wrote:The warrior gave you a once over, before nodding. "Okay, fine. As long as you remember those rules I suppose you're not that.. dangerous." he sniffed before turning around to walk away. "But you be careful! I'll be keeping an eye on you." he warned before turning around the corner and disappearing. Rolling your eyes you continued on your search, the day's events weighing heavily down on you. The battle from before seem to have costed a lot more than you thought and you're feeling so weary… and tired. Stifling a yawn you pushed yourself, opening doors and scanning every nook and cranny only to come back… empty handed. It seems the battle stadium didn't hold any hidden treasure. Oh well! At least you got to experience another side of the Faerre's culture, perhaps next time you'll be luckier!
With a smile, you departed from the stadium hoping to reach a nice room in Srail to nurse your tired body.

{ Barry
I got this. I'll walk in there like I know what I'm doing, and simply ask where I can wash up.
Barry comforted himself with false thoughts, as they where jolted straight out of his mind and into a void as a body crashed into his. Disgruntled, the male got up, his red eyes crazy with unhappiness as a clump of spaghetti sauce now clung to his nose.
"As do you." Barry muttered, as he had also gotten the Faerre dirty. "I promise, I'll help clean up. I hate messes." He explained, the thought of his clean kitchen waiting for him popping into mind. "And no, I'm not. There was a food fight in the cafeteria, and I was dragged into it. Just was on my way to clean up, and I got lost." Barry tipped his glasses and did a small nodding bow, befoe introducing himself.
"Leiutanant Barry; Though I prefer the name Barry. The title means really nothing at this point; Barry, a intellectually advanced Border Collie who loves computers, hates getting dirty, and hates doing physical work. Expecially when it involves being blindfolded and thrown into a food fight to find a friend; but I'll do anything for a friend." Barry said all this on two breaths, before adding,
"Even though it's hard to keep nice with all these... disgusting dirty Faerres around. They keep getting dirt in my fur."
