Entry One - N a t u r a l Theme

On my first entry, I decided to go with the natural theme. And since grey is personally my favorite choice of color on a design, I went with it. And honestly, it turned out nearly parallel to what I first imagined. I was going to give it a pastel, water color texture with German Shepherd markings and a few interesting patterns or designs that gave it more character. But as I went to Youtube and began listening to "Empire State of Mind," my hand gained a mind of its own. And thus, a grey mutt-like dog was born. While drawing him, I called him Taxi because of the music about New York that I was listening to, but by any means, feel free to change it. You can add accessories, or remove them. If I win, he/she is yours to do anything with. I want to wish everyone in this competition a good luck, as well c: Not very proud of him, though.

Binding and prying in loosening desires,
That not even the strength of
the strongest of motions,
Could calm this tide
Of rising commotions.
Drowning in sinners and falsified thoughts,
With feelings of malice, detachment and loss.
Swimming in circles around the drain,
Sucking the life from every vein.
Draining the soul and leaving it lost...
How much falling till you're finally caught?
And get back to the place your eyes have sought?

Is there anything that you want me to change/add? I mean, judging by the other entries, I doubt that I'll place, but I want to do my best c:

I really love the grey theme. But I would like maybe one splash of bright color. Possibly you could change the eye color to a more bright and unnatural color? Just a suggestion xD
