What date did you register as a CS member?:
• May 2, 2010

How many posts have you made in the forum:
• 2,408 prior to this post, which would make it 2,409.

How many days a week do you usually visit CS, and how many hours do you usually spend per day?
• I visit Chicken Smoothie on a regular basis. Usually, it is on and off throughout the day, checking through all of my messages, going through all of my bookmarks, and then settling down with the community for a chat with fellow members, buy art, make art, role-play, or any other of the various things that the site has to offer. I would roughly estimate my visiting hours per day be around 4-6 hours. Weekends, I am usually on and off all day long, this isn't a healthy habit, but it is my guilty pleasure.

Have you moderated on any other forums before? If so, please link to them:
• No I have not, unless you count being a DJ on a radio site. I had the ability to ban and such, but it was nothing I experimented with. Quickly after receiving my position, the site had been closed down for reason the owner had never explained.

Have you participated in many roleplays outside of CS before? If there are any places in particular, please link to them:
• I role-played on many sites before Chicken Smoothie. Places like FooPets, and Habbo Hotel. Foopets sadly deleted their Role-playing forums, and if they hadn't, I still would not be able to reach them because you must now pay for a membership. My username on there was also 'xNikkiex'. On Habbo hotel, the roleplays are via the animated rooms and such, so there are no records of those either, but my username was 'ohie'. Other than these sites, I have used CS mostly for my roleplaying experiences.

Have you participated in many roleplays on CS before?
• Very many. Usually I just lurk and read role-plays, especially those with interesting plots. They all have interesting dynamics, especially all the various wolf and warrior cat ones. Though they all seem similar, the users certainly bring the change with the drama. I, myself, have grown out of the animal role-plays a bit and leaning more towards the human ones now, but I still enjoy to read them for my own amusement.

Why do you want to be a roleplay moderator for CS?
• I have seen many rules broken, and though I report them, I still feel like the things should be locked up quicker. I always picture my younger brother or sister reading things inappropriate when I see these, and I worry. My brother is on this site, as well as my sister and I am glad they are not into the forums much because some things I see are not the things I would want them to see. I would also love to be apart of this community in a closer knit and apply a helping hand, making this site stay child-friendly is certainly something to thrive for. Things such as the teen pregnancy role-plays, those are definitely not okay for children to be participating in or seeing.

Can you think of any particular skills you can bring to the position
• Skills that I can bring to the position of being a moderator on Chicken Smoothie are definitely my open mind to all situations. I am often one who is a thinker before reacting. I believe in letting people get their thoughts out before I respond. If someone is being rude or impolite, I often take a step back a reevaluate myself before trying to calm them down. I think my personality is very charismatic and I get along very well with people. I have worked with young children, mentoring and tutoring, for around 4 years. In fact, I have just started doing this again because I enjoyed it so much. Though I have never hosted my own website with a roleplaying forum on it, I think I have the abilities to show people the right and wrong things to do, and the aspiration to keep Chicken Smoothie's forums running smoothly.

What date did you register as a CS member?: (if it's less than 6 months ago, do not apply) Sep 15, 2010
How many posts have you made in the forum (at the time of applying): (if it's less than 300, do not apply) 1363
How many days a week do you usually visit CS, and how many hours do you usually spend per day? Everyday. c: For the most part, Chickensmoothie is a open tab on my laptop whenever I'm surfing the internet, or even if I'm just listening to iTunes music. So I'm always on. Plus I check my messages during the school day when I'm bored. c:
Have you moderated on any other forums before? If so, please link to them I have, but unfortunately those websites are now down because eventually people stopped coming to it, so the owner took them down.
Have you participated in many roleplays outside of CS before? RPNation, Foopets, and Tumblr.
Have you participated in many roleplays on CS before? Yes, of course. :D The majority of my posts are from role-plays. Unfortunately, I haven't been very active in the forums lately due to myself not being able to find something with a high enough literacy rate. =.= And I'm organizing my characters/adding new ones, so once that is all complete, I'll probably make my own. c: But I still lurk through the different RP's there are and just follow what everyone is writing which may seem kinda creepy, but as a avid reader, it's fun to see how these stories end up working out.
Why do you want to be a roleplay moderator for CS? I feel that my love for this website has grown over the past few years, and I've never really had a chance to be directly involved in what happens on the forums. I think it would be a lot of fun, and perfect for me due to all the free time I have. But there's also a responsibility portion, which I am completely aware of, and I would definitely take it seriously. :D Plus, I spend a lot of time on the role-play forum itself, lurking through the different RP's and reading the posts for fun.
Can you think of any particular skills you can bring to the position I have moderated on a number of different role playing websites. Although I haven't had my OWN website, I've certainly started quite a few RP's myself. Also, I was a peer-mediator from grades three to five, which was quite a long time ago but it's experience none the less. I also volunteer at the Boys and Girls Club in my area. A lot of the kids that come to the Boys and Girls Club live in the same city, (which is a 'ghetto', urban section of the county) tell me about their background, most of which are in very poor financial situations or have come from abusive families. So I have a bit of experience talking with people, and am quite friendly in general.

1. What date did you register as a CS member?:
I joined February 2nd, 2010.
2. How many posts have you made in the forum (at the time of applying):
Currently: 49,567 (I do a lot of things besides role playing on CS).
3. How many days a week do you usually visit CS, and how many hours do you usually spend per day?
I come on CS seven days a week and spend scattered hours on it.
On weekdays, usually about 3 or 4 (plus) hours and more on weekends.

3. Have you moderated on any other forums before? If so, please link to them
No, I have not.
4. Have you participated in many roleplays outside of CS before? If there are any places in particular, please link to them.
Apart from FooPets (which I can no longer link because you can't join without paying), I have not role played on any other sites besides ChickenSmoothie.
5. Have you participated in many roleplays on CS before?
Yes. I have joined everything from 1x1s to literate groups.
6. Why do you want to be a roleplay moderator for CS?
Well, to keep the site safe for kids. I myself am guilty of getting a role play deleted from breaking the rules (yes, that was a while ago). I hadn't realized what I'd done until it was too late. I've had a clean slate sense, and I want to keep the forums clean of people who think the rules are beneath them and didn't bother to read them or just didn't realize it until it was too late like me.
7. Can you think of any particular skills you can bring to the position?
Not any that I can think of at the moment, because I've never been any form of a moderator before, so this is new to me. I've owned several role plays, and since the incident I mentioned above, I've been much more careful.

Fixed spelling errors.

What date did you register as a CS member?:
    08 March, 2011

How many posts have you made in the forum (at the time of applying):
    7131

How many days a week do you usually visit CS, and how many hours do you usually spend per day?
I am normally online each day of the week for at least seven hours a day. Even when I am not at home, I am on chicken smoothie via mobile device, or other devices that connect to the Internet. When I am out and about, I normally log onto CS to see what's happening, even if it is just for a hot second. So I am basically online no matter where I am, so being an active moderator (if accepted) is no problem at all.

Have you moderated on any other forums before? If so, please link to them
No, not that I remember. It would be an honor to be a moderator on some of the forums that are on CS, but I haven't been able to find a roleplay, since the roleplay forums are mostly the ones I look at, looking for a moderator. When I find one, I will apply, just like I am doing with this one.

Have you participated in many roleplays outside of CS before? If there are any places in particular, please link to them.
No, chicken smoothie is my only roleplaying site.
Have you participated in many roleplays on CS before?
Yes. I have been addicted to CS roleplays for about a year now, so I have joined quite a few.

Why do you want to be a roleplay moderator for CS?
I would adore to be a moderator because I would like to help CS stay safe, just like all the other applicants. I want to be able to do something when I see someone is breaking the rules on CS, and not just wait for the reported post to be dealt with, I want to be the one to deal with it, so I know that it is dealt with, and the risk of someone younger seeing it, is gone.

When I roleplay, I feel like a different person, I feel like I can put everything that is on my mind into the the actions/emotions of my characters, and I'm sure many other people feel the same way. I want people to be able to do this and express themselves over the Internet in a safe way, without being bullied or being in the view of inappropriate things.

I feel I can bring a lot of help to the CS roleplaying community, since the roleplaying area is where I have expert knowledge in. When I log onto CS, my first visit is to the roleplays, then to what ever else, but it is always roleplays first. I want to know what's going on in the area that I find most interesting, and if I had the chance to be able to protect the roleplaying area, I would be extremely happy because I would be protecting the a thing that I have interest in.

Can you think of any particular skills you can bring to the position?
No, not really. I mean, material that is not suitable for the eyes of the youth will not bother me. The only thing that will bother me is the fact that people would actually post something inappropriate on a child friendly site. I guess another skill of mine will be that I already scan the different types of roleplays, even if I am not a member of that roleplay, so scanning them, if it were to become my job, would not be something I would need to get used to.

Thank you very much for considering me!
    Good luck to everyone! C:

7. Why do you want to be a roleplay moderator for CS?
I'm always trying to help out others, and when I see inappropriate content, or spam I normally will always PM, or report it to a mod to handle. I'm good with people, and always keep calm when someone is mad or anoyyed, I don't mind repeating things over and over again.

8. Can you think of any particular skills you can bring to the position (this is not required) (for example have you run your own roleplay website before, or have you had any experience in peer mediation?):

Re: Roleplay Moderators - Now hiring! (age 16+)

Postby snowykay » Mon Jan 21, 2013 2:30 pm

A quick note: I don't think I gave my real birthday to this site, but I'm not sure. I turned 16 on January 1st (yes, my birthday is on New Years, and it's not as great as you probably think) and from my age you can tell what year I was born in. I may have put my actual age in there, a completely different age, or I might have even put the year and a different date because those are the kind of things I did back in the time when I joined. I used to not trust websites with any personal information about me, but I now know that it wouldn't matter here on Chicken Smoothie, though I didn't know that back then. I know that you may not believe me about this, but I figured it was worth it to tell you, even if you think I'm lying to just be able to try out or something else along those lines. It's the truth, but I know that I posted in here I joined that I was younger than I am, which was a mistake. I understand if you still feel that it's necessary to disqualify me, because it does sound kind of suspicious for me to turn sixteen just a few days before you were accepting applicants for roleplay moderators that had to be over sixteen, so the choice is yours of whether or not to believe me, and I'm sorry if I am just wasting your time with this. Thank you, and on to my form.

1.What date did you register as a CS member?: (if it's less than 6 months ago, do not apply)
I registered for Chicken Smoothie on Monday, April 25th of 2011 at exactly 4:15 PM. That makes my account well over a year old.

2.How many posts have you made in the forum (at the time of applying): (if it's less than 300, do not apply)
4598 posts currently, if you don't include this post.

3.How many days a week do you usually visit CS, and how many hours do you usually spend per day?
I am on Chicken Smoothie seven days a week unless something big has come up, and most days I'm on for many hours. On weekdays I get off school at 3:15 (I go to school really early in the morning), so I'm usually on from 3:30 to around 7:00 - 8:00, sometimes 9:00. The teachers at my school mostly don't give too much homework, or at least my teachers don't. But when I do have a lot of homework I usually get on the computer at about 4:00. On the weekends however, it matters when I wake up because I wake up then go straight on the computer. I'm then usually online from then to dinner with very small breaks in between. I practice my clarinet in the morning, so that almost never bothers how long I'm on.

4.Have you moderated on any other forums before? If so, please link to them
I have moderated on other forums before. Most were made by me and my friends, with http://warriors4clanrp.webs.com being probably my favorite. (I'm Teareh on that site.)

5.Have you participated in many roleplays outside of CS before? If there are any places in particular, please link to them.
Of course I have participated in off-site roleplays. The main websites I usually roleplay on besides Chicken Smoothie are probably http://forums.warriorcats.com which is the official Warriors website. There's also http://warriorslife.forumotion.com and many others, usually smaller sites. But I also roleplay on other sites that are mainly about adopting pets, such as http://mweor.com , http://creaturebreeder.com and others such as those.

6.Have you participated in many roleplays on CS before?
I have participated on too many roleplays to count. Because I like to join seed roleplays (what I call roleplays that have just started and don't have very many people in them) a lot of them have become unactive, which is a real shame. But others are going strong, which is good for everyone. I mostly roleplay in animal roleplays, but I play in human roleplays too, it's just hard to find a good human roleplay to play in. I'm also part of a PM roleplay, where I'm roleplaying with someone through private messages.

7.Why do you want to be a roleplay moderator for CS?
I wish to be a roleplay moderator here on Chicken Smoothie because I have seen many people doing unacceptable things in roleplays, and I have always wanted to be able to truly do something about it, instead of just clicking the report button and waiting for the moderators to deal with it. I also want to be able to help the people on here, because I truly care about this site and the people on it. The moderators are doing a great job keeping people safe on here, and I would like nothing better than to help them do that, because honestly it seems like a big job, though I know I'm up for it. I don't usually get too much homework, and the rest of my life has settled down for the most part. Even if it gets churned up again like the crashing waves in an ocean storm I would be here to help the people of cs, and that is a promise I give to you.

8.Can you think of any particular skills you can bring to the position (this is not required) (for examplehave you run your own roleplay website before, or have you had any experience in peer mediation?):
I have run many websites before that have been based off of roleplay. For example http://warriors4clanrp.webs.com even though that site is pretty old and kind of dying. I was very strict on that website, as I'm sure my friends could assure. I have hosted other websites, but none are very good and none have more than two or so members, and those are all my friends in real life. My closest friend has made a few sites too that she made me an admin of. Those are all also roleplay websites, except for one that was a clickable adoptables site. Some skills I believe I may be able to bring to the table are that I have witnessed many people doing unacceptable things on roleplays here and I believe that as one of the people in the roleplays where that has been happening (don't worry, I never did any of the rule-breaking) I have a familiarity with communicating with those kinds of people. One of my closest friends is that kind of person, and she says that I 'speak their language.' I'm not sure why I brought that up, as I'm not sure if it's a complement, but it may help sometime. I have also had to deal with people in real life that were very frustrating and teasing, and I have fixed myself, in a way, to be calm and patient with them, instead of blowing my top like I did when I was young and not very mature. I know when it's necessary to interject and when to take extreme measures. Whenever someone teases or looks for a fight with me I can keep a level head and I won't get angry. I may get angry for a moment inside, but I won't let it affect me or my behavior.

DogStar.com
Aluminum-Foil.com

Have you participated in many roleplays outside of CS before? If there are any places in particular, please link to them.
Yes, on the old FP Beta. But they were deleted due to the revamp and deletion of the beta site.
DogStar.com
GuardiansWolfRP.com
WolvesoftheBeyond.com

Have you participated in many roleplays on CS before?

Way too many to count.

Why do you want to be a roleplay moderator for CS?
I spend most of my time on CS while I'm on the internet. I love roleplaying and have seen many users lately spamming and being rude on rps. I would love to help and change that.

Can you think of any particular skills you can bring to the position
I have made many roleplaying topics before on different sites as well as CS. I know what to look for as in bad roleplaying behavior and breakage of the rules.

Saw this came out this morning, and I wasn't able to write out my application till now... But it certainly made my day to see that there are openings for this position! :3

1. What date did you register as a CS member?: August 2, 2009.

2. How many posts have you made in the forum (at the time of applying): 13808 posts as of right now :3

3. How many days a week do you usually visit CS, and how many hours do you usually spend per day? Usually every day of the week, and I spend at least 5 hours online, if not more.
4. Have you moderated on any other forums before? I used to moderate on a roleplay forum that I created, but it was closed down due to inactivity, so the link is not available. But I did learn a lot about moderation from that experience.

5. Have you participated in many roleplays outside of CS before? Outside of CS, I do roleplays via email, and through youtube private messages, so I can't really link to those...

6. Have you participated in many roleplays on CS before? I have. Honestly, it's my favorite part of CS, and I have been roleplaying on here for at least 3 years, if not more. I know the rules and regulations, and am very familiar with the board.

7. Why do you want to be a roleplay moderator for CS? Ever since the position was created, I've wanted to have it. XD Since roleplaying on CS is a pretty big part of my time on the computer daily, it's natural that I really really want this position. Honestly, when I heard that they had spots open I nearly started hyper-ventilating... XD
Other than that, I see roleplays on CS all the time that go against the rules, and I'd love to help out the community by moderating them.

8. Can you think of any particular skills you can bring to the position: I'm a very regular roleplayer, and I spend most of my free time online CS. I'm very dedicated, and know the roleplaying rules inside and out. Getting this position would mean a lot to me, and I think I would be able to help the roleplay boards be a safer, more censored environment. I am aware that this is a family website, and so I'm a strong believer that the roleplays on CS should be family friendly. I'd love to help enforce the rules, and help out. :]

Thank-you for considering me ^^

I'm no longer an active member of this community, but I'm always looking to commission art of my dog, Pascal the Pomeranian! ^^ PM me if you're interested in drawing him, and we can discuss payment.
