First things first; those gods you hear about in Greek mythology? Their not myths. They are very, very real. The gods reside on Olympus, just as they did in ancient times, but not in Greece.
When Western Civilization moved to the United States, so did the gods. Olympus can be found in Manhattan, on the 600th floor of the Empire State Building. Yes, you heard right; 600th floor.

Anyway, the gods haven't changed much since ancient times. You've probably heard the many stories of the gods coming down to earth and... 'hooking up' with mortals? Well, their habits haven't changed much. The offspring of these meetings are known as demigods; half god, half human. Pretty cool, right? No.
Demigods are hunted for most of their lives by monsters, and very few live past the age of sixteen. They have little or no contact at all with their godly parent, and life at home isn't always good.
Fortunately, there's one safe haven for them; Camp Half-Blood.
On Long Island, New York there is a special camp for demigods where they train to protect themselves, go on quests and... survive. The camp is protected by the magical powers of the Golden Fleece, and although there are monsters in the forests at the camp; it's the safest place on heaven and earth for them.

Here, at Camp Half-Blood, demigods are sorted into cabins depending on who their godly parent is. It used to be that there were only twelve cabins for the Twelve Olympians, but after a major battle it was decreed that the minor gods and goddesses would also recieve cabins in their honour.
Demigods spend their time eating, sleeping and training mostly. Occasionally there are quests; either a god or goddess sends them out on an errand of sorts, or the Oracle speaks a prophecy.
Chiron, the legendary trainer of heroes, trains demigods at Camp Half-Blood; and yes, he is a centaur. Dionysus, or Mr D. directs the camp; a punishment for chasing an 'off-limits' nymph. And as for the Oracle, that would be Diana Holland; her predecessor being Rachel Dare.

Anyway, that's the basics.
So... Welcome to Camp-Half Blood, hero!

    Username: toujours.
    Character Name: Dylan Maxwell.
    Age: Fifteen.
    Godly Parent: Athena.
Personality: Dylan Maxwell is not someone you want to get on the wrong side of. She's quick to anger and is the kind of person to act first and ask questions later, especially once her emotions take hold. It's been said that she has a 'fiery temper', because of her hair; and that description would be accurate - but it's not the whole story. When Dylan gets aggressive it's because she's either genuinely p-ssed off, or it's her defense mechanism. She probably doesn't even realise that she does it, but whenever she gets scared or worried; her temper flares. Maybe it's because she gets angry at herself for being fearful, or maybe she just wants to push people away before they get too close to something they shouldn't know - it could be both.
Nevertheless, there are a lot of layers to the 'Dylan Onion', however will you peel them all...
Beneath the snarky attitude, scathing retorts and harsh exterior; there is an actual human being. A scared little girl who is just dying for someone to knock down those walls around her heart and rescue her. She's capable of sympathy, and maybe even kindness; she just needs to be reminded that not all people are cruel and selfish.
If you value your life, however, do not pity her. If there is one thing that Dylan hates; it is being pitied.

Appearance: Dylan has a very distinctive look, that much is quite obvious. Her bright, fiery red hair makes her quite memorable, as does her snarky attitude. Her hair is naturally straight, and it takes forever to style it any differently; not that she cares much about her appearance. She cares, of course - just not that much. So she usually just leaves it loose around her shoulders, or tied up in a ponytail or messy bun; she doesn't have much patience for anything more extravagant. Her dress sense isn't too plain or classy, but she has her own sense of style. Dylan tends to stick to plain colours when she picks out her clothes; stripes she can handle, but she hates flower patterns. Converse sneakers are a big thing with Dylan - she adores them! She doesn't have many other favourite brands as she just picks out what catches her eye, however. As for make up, she doesn't apply it very heavily, if at all. Mascara, eyeliner and a light eyeshadow are pretty much the only cosmetics she needs on a daily basis. She also has a few tattoos; birds on her right forearm, infinity symbolon her left hand, ring finger, and toujours on her left wrist.
History/Background: Dylan Maxwell was born on 16th June 1994 in Hamilton - a small place outside of Toronto, Canada - to first time parent; Oliver Maxwell. Dylan's mother was nowhere in sight; nor did her father actually know who he was. Oliver was nineteen years old when he was forced to look after his baby girl, and he was not ready for the responsibility in any shape or form.
When he wasn't taking drugs or drinking himself into unconsciousness, Oliver managed to find time to look afer his daughter. Thankfully, Dylan's grandmother stepped in whenever she could. However, her father never changed his ways. Oliver continued falling down the abyss; and in his spare time managed to find time to 'hook up' with a string of foul women who cared about nothing more than having a good time. Dylan sometimes got caught up in her father's messed up life sometimes, unfortunately, and was abused by some of these 'girlfriends'. By the time she was six years old, Dylan Maxwell had been taken from her mother and moved to live with her grandparents; who moved to Los Angeles shortly after. But by this time Dylan was already affected greatly by her early life.

As she grew, however, Dylan managed to get a grip of her life... in a way. When she hit the teenage years she was quite the troublemaker. She gave her grandparents all sorts of grief; staying out all night, getting arrested, coming home with a bloody nose, etc... So you could say that her father had rubbed of on her in the short time that she had been exposed to the man. Dylan's grades went into a free-fall around this time, and they haven't really recovered completely. It's not that she's dumb, cause believe me; she's not. She just doesn't commit herself to the work, and instead focuses her attention... elsewhere.
At the age of 11, Dylan's life really began to change. It was small things at first; feeling like she was being watched, seeing the same person again and again, feeling creeped out by someone or something... It continued on like that for a year before things got serious. She was attacked by a flock of Stymphalian Birds while on a camping trip. The girl was saved by a friend who turned out to be half-goat, half-boy; a satyr. The satyr, Paul used his stereo to confuse the birds and give them enough time to escape. This is around the time when Dylan found about her heritage.

Love Life: Much like her father, Dylan has gone through a string of bad relationships in the past. She had, and still does have, a thing for bad boys; and that's usually gotten her into some form of trouble. Her most recent boyfriend was a guy called Brandon. Three years older than her with a buzz cut and tattoes covering both arms; he had a nasty temper and tended to get high a lot. Dylan dumped him after he cheated on her with a few other girls, and she's been single and free for the past year or so. Her grandparents always try and set her up with boys; picking the quiet, shy, and usually geeky kind that Dylan normally steered well clear of - and who avoided her too. She's available; but complicated.
    Strengths:
      + quick thinking.
      + strategist.
      + good aim.
      + agile and flexible.
+ good control of he emotions. (varies with mood)
+ ability to hide her emotions.
      + quick to adapt.

    Flaws:
      - proud.
      - short temper (occasionally.)
      - can be quick to jump to conclusions.
      - close combat isn't a strength of hers.
      - dyslexia.
      - stubborn as a mule.
      - ADHD.
    Fears:
      arachnophobia; fear of spiders.
      aquaphobia; fear of drowning.
Weapon: Dylan favours a bow and arrow, and she's quite the marksman. However, she's quite capable of using a sword or knife; although of the two she would prefer the sword. Despite how violent she can seem, and she can get pretty physical sometimes, she prefers to stay far from the fight so that she can survey it and think up a strategy. She likes to have the high ground to get an ariel view; like a hawk. But if forced, she will fight with a sword although she doesn't usually use a shield; she feels it slows her down.
Other: She's fluent in french; growing up in a french-canadian family.

    Username: toujours.
    Character Name: Isaac Samuel Hayes.
    Age: Sixteen.
    Godly Parent: Hermes.
Personality: To describe Isaac in one word, it would probably have to be... smart-ass. This young man is charmer, but in his own cheeky way. He earned himself the nickname 'Peter Pan' in high school, the boy who never grew up; and it's quite fitting really. For the most part, Isaac is sweet, funny and a gentleman; he can be a little be of a ladies' man too. And that is, essentially, who he is; an immature, charming flirt. He's also a bit of a geek. It's one of his more endearing traits, kinda. Isaac is a big fan of comic books, video games and even some anime. But he doesn't go around talking about it all the time; he's smarter than that. Talking non-stop about stuff like that would give him a one-way ticket to loser town, and that's somewhere he never wants to go again.
Then there's his reckless side - Isaac likes to take risks. Whether it's being dared to do something, pulling some stupid stunt or just goofing off; he's up for it. He believes in living live to the full, even if it means that he nearly kills himself sometimes. Also, if he tried to, he could probably pull off the whole 'bad boy' image that most girls seem to fawn over these days. He just prefers to make girls laugh, cause then he gets to see them smile.
Anyway, he's not always a total goofball. Isaac knows when not to be an idiot, and he can sober up pretty quickly; figuratively speaking. He has a caring side, one that isn't appreciated as much as it probably should be. Unfortunately, no one ever really takes him serious; so they don't tend to give him any chances. It's his own fault, kinda; for turning himself into the class clown. However, this guy is fiercly loyal to those he cares for. I guess you could say he's kinda like a springer spaniel? Hyper, lovable and loyal; yeah, that about sums him up.

Appearance: Isaac is tall and lean; there's not much more to his body build than that. He is strong, but he just doesn't work out that much. In fact, he's the type of guy that eats a ton but barely gains a pound; annoying, huh? His hair is dark brown at the roots, but gets lighter as it nears the tips -but it's natural; no dip-dye involved. Usually, he doesn't do much with it; but he has a habit of running his hands through his hair, which causes it to stand on end a lot. But he wears a lot of beanies. Speaking of clothing; Isaac has his own kind of unqiue style. On a normal day, he'll most likely be wearing loose jeans, a t-shirt with some comic book design on it, plain coloured zip-up hoodie and his signature beanie hat. There isn't much variety; except for colours, design, etc... As for eye colour; his eyes are an interesting shade of blue-green. They're not exactly turquoise, but there's definitely a mix of the two colours in there; although there are gold flecks around his irises.
History/Background: Isaac's childhood was rather uneventful. He was born on 17th September 1993 in New York City to new parent Julie Hayes. Isaac Samuel Hayes spent most of his early years getting into trouble. Whether it was making his kindergarten teacher's life a misery, making a fool of himself in elementary school or just causing mayhem when he wasn't in school; he was a handful. Thankfully he had the kind of face that you couldn't stay angry at for long - except his teachers; they hated him.
And as he got into high school, Isaac didn't change much. His grades are average, although he could probably do better if he actually put any effort in; but he just can't keep his attention on the work. At a young age Isaac was diagnosed with ADHD, so there's your answer to his short attention span. Unless something is shiny, pretty or just genuinely interesting; his focus won't last long and he won't be able to keep still.
So he's your average troublemaker; you'll either want to kiss him or kill him.
When it comes to the demigod side of things; Isaac is one of the fortunate ones. His mother knew of his heritage, and knew how to protect him. At the first sign of danger, she took him to Camp Half-Blood. And that's where he's spent his summers ever since he was nine years old.

Love Life: This guy doesn't have much of a love life unfortunately. Hard to believe seeing as he's such a sweetheart. However, what some people see as endearing, others see as annoying; and the unfortunate thing is that Isaac always seems to fall for the girls who he annoys the crap out of.
He's never been lucky in love; he's always been the class clown so everyone just kinda has him around for amusement. It's not always like that, although he's never really noticed the people that really care for him - or he's messed it up. Yeah, he has a habit of not seeing what's right in front of him and putting his foot in it by saying or doing the wrong thing.
But he's still hopeful. Isaac is quite the romantic, although he doesn't seem it. And he's quite old fashioned in his ways; a real gentleman.

    Strengths:
      + traps, distractions, etc...
      + pranks.
      + getting into trouble.
      + smuggling things into camp.
      + confusing people.
      + dodging blows.
    Flaws:
      - flirting.
      - being smooth.
      - archery.
      - staying focused.
      - getting out of trouble.
      - talking too fast or too much... or both.

    Fears:
      claustraphobia. fear of confined spaces.
Weapon: A simple sword, blade made from Celestial Bronze. On occasion, a shield too; concealed in a watch when not in use. Isaac is hopeless with any other weapon, save for a dagger. He's been training with a sword since he was a nine, and it's what he intends to stick with. As for the shield, it was something he aquired whilst running an 'errand' for his father.
    Other: None.

"I'm nobody, who are you?"
- Emily Dickinson

Hello. I'm Theadora. Theadora Valerie Feris.
I'd be much, much happier if you called me
Teddy. And you must make me happy. My
friends call me Teddy Bear, but you're not my
friend. And all you boys who act like three year
olds, don't make fun of my name. Or I will find
you and hurt you. Well, maybe I won't hurt you.
Maybe I will, maybe I won't. I'm like that.
Anyway... for the blind: I'm a girl. A nineteen-
year-old girl. Born May third, nineteen ninety-
three at four AM.

"Saying nothing...sometimes says the most."
- Emily Dickinson

First, I am peaceful. My friends call me a 'teddy
bear'. "Because you're so soft!" I find it strange.
I'm a bookworm, Some people think that's a bad
thing, reading for fun and being smart. But
personally, I like a world of fantasy better than
the real world. In my humble opinion, the real
world is a tad to insane. So I read. You may find
me quoting Emily Dickinson--I live for her
writing--bumping into things with my nose in a
book, or asking what the heck is going on. Yes,
I'm very, very ditzy--but, since I have friends, it
seems to be in a good way. Yes, I have friends.
I guess I'm a good friend, and pretty trustworthy.
A lot of people also call me "real world"--whatever
that means...
I seem pretty nice, right? Wrong. ( ish. ) Well, everyone
has their bad traits. Mine are as follows: I love pulling pranks.
It's just a pleasure. I don't know why I like it, but for me it's
hilarious when I see someone's run into a trap I set. I know,
I'm horrible. More bad traits; I like to confuse people by
speaking with really long and obscure words. Plus, I often
stay up waaaaaaaay to late reading/finishing a good book,
so I'm really grumpy a lot of the time.

"I dwell in possibility."
- Emily Dickinson

Wait, how did you know I'm a demigod? Ah, well. Secret's out.
I'm a daughter of Poseidon. Got a problem?

"Beauty is not caused. It is."
- Emily Dickinson

What do I look like? Well, to start, I have dark brown
eyes that are small, and most people say it looks like
they're scrunched up laughing. if I do put on makeup
in the area of my eyes, it's usually light bronze or white,
but mostly browns. I like to keep it natural. My eyes
are rimmed by my dark, long eyelashes. I don't wear
mascara or anything, they stay that way without it.
I have dark blonde hair that is wavy and thick. It goes
down to my elbows, depending on what season it is.
In summertime, I get it cut short and donate to Locks of
Love. Most of the time. What's sorta strange about it is I
never need to brush it in the morning because it looks
like it's been brushed, and it never gets frizzy. Like ever.
Skin? Well, my skin is, hard to describe. I guess I would
say it's somewhere between pale. My skin is super-sensitive,
but smooth with an almost-perfect complexion. Almost.
Everyone gets pimples and freckles, people! I have a pert
button nose, a small heart shaped face, and plush lips. I
have a skinny figure that's a bit curvy. My feet and hands are
small and dainty. My whole shape in general gives off somewhat
of an angelic appearance. I dunno if I'll be skinny for long,
though, because I don't exactly eat that healthy. And NO, I'm
not anorexic! Anyway, I weigh 122 pounds and am about 5'3".
Got anything against short people?
