Contest Entrie for Hannnahtan's Contest

Charn (from C.S. Lewis' "Magician's Nephew"), was once a magical and merry place. It is not anymore. Jadis, the "Queen" of Charn used a forbidden word that kills all living creatures in that world exept the one who spoke it. There is now a lake of blood running through Charn, the sun is very dim, very blood-colored, not giving off much light, which makes the sky almost black. Little did Jadis know that she hadn't killed one species. Over the Lake of Blood, through the Gothic Mountains, through the Valley of Death, and into the Dark Sky, lives the Lunafly. Now, what is a Lunafly? Lunaflies are very similar to the Butterfly that we have in our world, but they share some differenes. Lunaflies are transparent, meaning that you can see things through them, while our Butterflies can not. Lunaflies are also nocturnal, and are realatives of the Vampire Bats. They get their name because they are normally seen during a "Lunar" Eclipse, and "Fly" just like the Butterflies on Earth. After Jadis travels with another Magician (Uncle Andrew), Polly, Digory, a English Cabman, and Strawberry (the Cabman's horse) to a new, magical land called Narnia, her kingdom, Charn, dies. The Lunaflies are able to escape Charn, and now live in hiding on Earth. Go outside tonight, do you see the transparent Lunafly?
