Name:
Kirra Beschen, after famous surfer Shane Beschen, who "became the first and only professional surfer to score three perfect 10 point rides for a total 30 out of 30 ASP three-wave scoring system," according to wikipedia. In summary, he ripped through those waves so perfectly that no one has managed to beat his record! He did this at Kirra, a beach just outside Queensland, Australia.

Personality:
(Scatterbrain)
- Kirra is always interested in something - and more commonly, many things at once. It isn't that she means for her attentions to be so fleeting, but who can blame her when there are so many awesome, beautiful things to see? Oftentimes the ocean will leave something on shore only briefly, pulling it back in with the next wave, and so she has adapted a style of very quickly darting about to grab whatever might catch her fancy. Unfortunately, this also means she can be a bit ditzy in conversation and friendship. She's an honest companion, and truly loves those closest to her, but sometimes she just can't sit still through long conversations!

- Kirra absolutely loves little things like tongue-twisters, lymericks, and in general anything that can be said in the form of a riddle or a rhyme. She has become quite the master of speaking quickly and clearly, and gets a kick out of teaching someone - literally anyone - how to spit lyrics with mad accuracy.

- Nothing gets this little Newton down, it seems. She's always such a jolly thing, giggling and leaping about for no particular reason other than life's awesome and that fact must be shared! She's a friendly, open-souled girlie who doesn't let anything get her down, and she wants to make sure that all frowns have been turned upside-down before she even bothers to fix her own problems.

- While it might seem counterintuitive, a little bit of jealousy is a good thing. Kirra once saw an artist while walking the boardwalk with her owner, and upon seeing how this artist used seashells and other bits of ocean debris as their medium, Kirra was immediately in awe. She was also incredibly jealous, because she wanted to be able to make things as beautiful as the artist did. It wasn't fair that only one person could be so talented! And so she entered the field of seashell art, always trying to top the sorts of things she saw that day. This tendancy to become passionately jealous often moves her to try many new things and to strive to be the best she can, just to prove to herself that she is as talented as she wants to be.

- Kirra is a fan of new and novelty things. Not any one thing in particular, really, just whatever she can manage to find on her daily beach outings. She has many interesting trinkets within her collection that range from the highly valuable, such as lost rings and watches, to the strange and mundane - for example, she has many prized limbs of driftwood that she treats almost better than the jewelry. Each piece tells a story, she says, and each story is worth sharing!

What does this newton love to do?:
"She sells seashells by the seashore!"
While it may seem an unlikely or perhaps mundane exercise for a generally rolicking, high-octane Newton, there's nothing Kirra enjoys more than gathering up as many pretty shells as she can find and using them as a base for her beachy art. The smaller ones (the kind that often come with natural holes at their bases) are strung on fishing line or thin seaweed into necklaces, earrings, or bracelets, often accompanied by shiny rocks or bits of sea glass, while the larger shells are used in more ambitious projects. Lamps, wreaths, shell-leaved flowers, even small statues - if it can be made, then it can be made with shells. Even the broken pieces are useful in abstract art and wind chimes, as to Kirra, broken is really just a word. She has also been known to use other discarded items in her artwork as a form of recycling, which she will proudly display as a way of promoting awareness of the clutter that often fills up beaches when no one bothers to clean them. Any money made from selling her art immediately goes into keeping her beach clean.
