I would like to adopt!
Number: 7
Picture:

Name: A Million Moons (also known as I AM or Amy)
Species: Canine of sorts
Personality: Odd, lonesome, thoughtful and shy
Likes: Philosophy, stars, the moon and pineforests
Dislikes: Loud noises, self centered wolves and the vast majourity of the male gender.
Background:
I was born like all lowly wolves, in a cave, in the cold, in the dark, in a horrendous storm. Why I was put on this world I do not know. I also had one more problem: I was born with no eyes. Sure, wolves are not born with open eyes but mine were completely non existant. The only trace that I was supposed to have eyes where I had nothing was small slits with red stripes over them in the shape of a Z.
-
My brother laughed as soon as his eyes opened and saw me. "Haha, what a freak. Amy has no eyes! Shes so forgetful she probably left them behind somewhere!" I hated him. I growled and snapped. "Poor Amy will never see a fierce warrior like me dart at her!" he cooed. I growled lowly, baring my little needle teeth. "Very funny!" I said, snapping at his nose. I sensed the air flowing wide around his face as he jumped back. "Big nose!" I laughed.
-
Half a year since All The Stars' eyes opened he was wondering around outside. My mother was no better. I felt her gaze burning me. "Because of your eyes you can't go outside, you won't be able to spot un-smellable dangers like cliffs!" I leaned towards her. I was mad. VERY mad. "Its not my eyes! I don't even have eyes! What you mean is because of my lack of eyes! And sometimes eyes make you blind..." I finished with a hiss. I felt my way back to the den then angrily dropped into my nest. Enraged thoughts zoomed through my head.
What does she know. Her eyes blind her to other senses! I can smell better, hear better, taste better, feel better.... GRRR. I then imagined having eyes, the world smelt beautiful, especiallt the pines near by.
-
When I was three I finally, finally managed to pursuade my silly mother to allow me to go out into the forest. My brother "Atty" as my mother called him had to lead me because I might "Accidentally walk into something." I ran ahead of him, trying to get away from his venomous mouth. "BLACH!" I growled as I stood in something warm, wet and smelly.
Mice! There must be mice! I caught the scent of a mother mouse, hopefully with juicy young ones. "AMY?" Atty had come up behind me. I felt his gaze flash around. "What cha catchin?" he laughed. I growled then ran off. I soon found a hollow under a pine tree. Reaching my nose in I found the perfect snack. I chose to eat what I found, Atty didn't need any more energy to waste and my mother would have caught something for herself. I ran back to Atty with a smug look on my face. "Lets go exploring!" I yelped.
-
That was the worst mistake of my life. With his poor sense of placing my brother got lost and came home a day after me. He blamed me and I had to stay home for a month. In this time I spent many hours sharpening my senses.
-
It was an ordinary morning and I headed out with my brother Atty. By now we were ten. We were in the woods when suddenly a huge white wolf growled. I screamed. I had never
ever seen anything and the brightness pierced me. I thought I was dreaming for I could not see. "What you goin' scremin' at?" Atty snapped. "That!" I yelped, pointing. "I don't see nothin' so you shush!" he spat in my face. I drooped my head. The white wolf had blood on its mouth. It was shaking a tail violently in its mouth.
How did it get that? It turned and charged at Atty. "Look out!" I yelped. "Huh?" I could sense his confusion. Suddenly the vision vanished, the blurr that was Atty's presance, the wonderful white wolf , everything! Atty shrieked and darted off, I ran after him. My vision came back, the forest was fulling with blood. My paw sank deep in a puddle of it. I yelled. "It killed mother!" and I was right, it had. Atty stumbled and fell right next to her. She was lifeless as far as I could smell. The white wolf chasing us howled then ran off. That night we sat together, our coats got soaked in blood before being drenched in tears.
-
My mind shot open (as my eyes could not). "This is not mother!" I said in a trance like way. Atty stared at me from his surveying spot. I felt crazy but I knew it was not. "This is father...." I trailed off.
What was I saying... how did I know this? "Or... its our sister, our older sister." I yelped. Atty stared at me then it. "Spose it has your face, only with..." he trailed off, for the first time seeming to have some respect. "Eyes." I finished in barely a whisper. "We have been left alone in this world. Mother ran while she died... we must go now, never come back." I muttered. Now looking back on this event I must have seemed like some mindless fool.
