Recent Rarity Change List [January Update in progress!!]

Wow, does anyone think this will be a rare outcome? GUPPS for New Years have always been rarer, but this one seemed a little extreme considering what I got offered :3

Since the 2011 New Years GUPPS turned out Uncommon, and there have obviously been more members signing up since then (hence bringing more chances to RECEIVE this outcome to the active userbase), it's VERY likely this will just be an Uncommon, NOT a Rare.

People really shouldn't be feeding demand and offering overpay every single time a "rarer" outcome comes out. It makes others EXPECT overpay, and I've gotten two trade cancels from people just like this. It's so annoying. :I Still need one for my boyfriend and I. Argh.

Yes, but recall what Nick said in the announcement. It's still uncommon and hasn't turned rare since.

Before you feel sad that you "lost" your only "Very Rare" or "Rare", you just need to realize, it was never really that rare! The old labels were not a good estimate of the pet's true rarity or trading value. The new ones are more accurate. Most newly adopted pets really aren't that rare, since there are a lot of people adopting them. In the past, there were fewer members, so not as many of each pet were adopted. That means those pets really are rarer than current pets, because there are less of them to go around!

I really didn't think it'd be that rare ... the cat isn't surprising, but dang. It just seemed like those dogs were everywhere.
