Caprius {Open}

You find yourself wandering through what appears to be the ancient....and weathered, halls of a dark, old castle. Moonlight leaks through the broken, crumbling, stone work surrounding you, lending you light to see the path in front of you. Behind you is nothing but darkness. For a moment you consider your options. A small scraping noise echos in the darkness.
Quickly you make the decision to press forward into the lighted section of the castle.
Soon you find you've wandered into what appears to be a throne room of sorts, completely empty save the half crumbled throne at the end, swathed in darkness. A small glowing object sitting in the rubble of the throne doesn't escape your notice and you quickly clear the room to have a better look.


What appears to be a small, glowing, ball of light and smoke is there, waiting for someone....something to claim it.
As you reach to pick it up a low noise catches your last minute attention right before your fingers close around it.
The sound of hooves.

Spinning around you see nothing at first. Still the old empty room, filled with nothing but moonlight and shadows.
Something moves on the far side, and a dark blue smoke slowly begins to leak into the room.
Before you can react, something steps out of the darkness.


Hello mortal creature.
The voice, powerful and deep, echos in your very own mind and shakes you to the bones.
Suddenly the thing is directly in front of you, and you fall backwards. A dark chuckle echos.

Do not fear me, mortal one. I mean thee no harm.

A moment of silence passes before you nod slowly, hoping that it was speaking the truth. You watch the creature closely as it walks, well, more like glides to the throne just behind you. Reaching down it claims the glowing orb between it's front paws and tucks it into the billowing smoke that seems to be attached to it's body.
It catches you staring.

I suppose thee would like an explanation? I am Darius, elder of an ancient breed. Where you stand is the remnants of our old castle stronghold.
As you find yourself settling down on the dusty old floor, the creature continues to explain the past of it's species. Never once do you question on how it's talking without a mouth.

Can i be an artist/guest-artist/mod on the caprius thread?

DD: I don't feel comfortable with giving my lines to people i don't know. Atome and i might share our species with some of our friends as guest artists, but i don't think we'll ever open for full-time artists/guest-artists that we don't know. Sorry ^.^. As for the mod position, we don't need mods at the moment, and if we ever do, our friends will step up and help us out ;P

Caprius, or Capria, are strange creatures.

Anatomy

Seeming to be half goat, half canine, they have no mouth and no ears.
With glowing eyes and horns, large sets of horns grow out of their shoulder blades and wrap backwards around their bodies and seem to act as armor for them, even though they are a peaceful breed and have no need. There are five recorded types of armor horns, and ten different tail variations.
They have retractable claws on their front paws, much like a large cat breed.

Vocalization

They have no natural noise, call, or language, and only one has been recorded to be able to speak telepathically.
Having no mouth, it is still currently unknown how they eat or breathe, though presence of a nose suggests they breathe that way, even though no one has witnessed respiratory movement.

Aging

It is unknown how they age at the moment. They're bodies do grow and age, but there is no way to tell how old one is. Once it reaches a certain height and weight it no longer seems to get older. Physically at least.
Only Elders have smoke that seems to attach to their bodies.

Gender Differences

Male and females only have one known difference, and that is in the color of their hind hooves.
Males have cooler colored hooves, and females posse warm toned hooves.

Breeding

Baby Capria are born when two capria love each other very much. Love berries are then given to the adults, who then proceed to smash them up, rubbing the juice in their eyes. A swirling mist emanates from the adult's eyes and combines to form a baby in a puff of ethereal smoke. One to three children are made at a time.

Abominable Leoneep



Anatomy

They seem to be half sheep, with thick, wooly coats and hind hooves, and half big cat breed, possessing the agility, stealth, stamina, and strength of lions, tigers, pumas, and leopards.
With glowing eyes, the only difference there seems to be is the tail variation.
They have retractable claws on their front paws, and large, sharp, deadly teeth.

Vocalization

This species is very vocal! Roaring can be heard miles away, even as far as Darius's castle. They also purr, chirp, and growl.

Aging

It is unknown how they age at the moment. They're bodies do grow and age, but there is no way to tell how old one is. Once it reaches a certain height and weight it no longer seems to get older. Physically at least.


Gender Differences

Male and female Leoneep have different color ear fluff and hooves.
Females have warm colors, males have cool colors.

Breeding

Not much is known about breeding as of yet.
