Welcome, welcome! To the second round of our christmas event!
Each participant has been blind folded and sent to their respective starting points! This is a race against time! Some will find lifelong companions, some will find rare items and some! will leave empty handed!

So good luck to all! and have fun!

Reply to posts within two days after NPC posts, unless you've informed us of other circumstances. Failure to do so will get your character eliminated from the game.

The blindfold was quickly slipped off from your eyes and you glanced back to find that the Faerres that had brought you here had already disappeared, leaving nothing but their footprints in the snow. Turning back, you find yourself at a frozen lake that stretched far and wide. This must be the well known Whales Lake of Avalon! The size of the lake… was… too big to consume in just one glance… As you looked closer, you see Faerres figure skating on the frozen layer of the deep lake. Your paws itched to try it out yourself. Glancing down, you're surprised to find a pair of skates -that you swear wasn't there a minute ago- by your paws. Perhaps you could go for a quick skate? There might be something out there in that vast icy landscape… right?

Should you skate or explore elsewhere?

Even before your sight was returned to you, you had a pretty good guess of your positioning. Loud noises, strong, pungent smell of food… yep. It's the public cafeteria. The Faerres that had brought you here had disappeared and merged into the crowded room and you're left standing in the middle of the cafeteria. The cafeteria was huge! Big enough to hold and feed an entire Faerre population. The Faerres are closely bonded animals and have the habit of sharing their spoils. Being too busy appreciating the strange cultures of this strange race you didn't notice that you've been pushed into a lunch line and now it's your turn to get food! The lunch Faerre cocks an eyebrow,

"What's it going to be? Mash potato or spaghetti?"

The humid air surrounding you was suffocating. You were pushed unceremoniously towards your starting point and to your dismay you found the ground was wet and you slipped. Strangely, instead of meeting hard ground you dropped into scalding hot waters! Spluttering, you flailed and managed to get back to the surface before ripping the blindfold off to find that the Faerres had already disappeared. You… were in the… you squinted your eyes. Darn, it's hard to see through this… steam. OH~ So you're in the hot springs! The luke warm water lapping at your fur made your eyes droop with drowsiness. Perhaps this is not such a bad experience after all. But before relaxing and let the hot waters do their magic, you must first complete the hunt! After all, even if you find nothing, a nice long dip in the hot springs doesn't seem like you missed out at all. You turned to the side, squinting your eyes and trying to pierce the thick steam. There are two pools right next to yours… which one would you visit first?

The one with sounds of laughter or the cold pool?

What's that weird sound? Your blindfold was slipped off and you find yourself at the west side of Vinara, in the park of portals that connects to other worlds! Each and every portal here connects to many different worlds, some that works the same way as Vinara and others don't. Each portal here was created by The Queen herself and you're left standing there observing these swirling masses of pure magical power admiring The Queen's strength. For this event though, most portals were sealed off with big wooden crosses to forbid you from touching them, lest they warp you to some other world where searching there would be a complete waste of time. However, two portals remained open and they seem to invite you to step in.

Should you step through the black portal or the rainbow portal?

This… was unexpected. Of all the places to start with… you had to start in the Avalon's Cemetery. The place was cold and creepy, even the limited lighting provided no comfort to you. Like any horror movie, creepy sounds from time to time would sound from beside you. Sometimes close, sometimes far and sometimes… it feels like it's next to you…
A cold winter's breeze ghosted down your back and you began trudging forward, hoping that walking and staying motion would deter any… supernatural things from bothering you. Passing rows and rows of grave stones your mood began to drop from excitement to cold fear from the constant and seemingly never ending depressing scene. A snap of twig nearly sent you flying three feet into the air from shock, you're more than ready to bolt, but what about your prize?

Should you investigate or flee to another part of the cemetery?

Was that cheering you heard? The clash of swords? Food? Where are you?

The blindfold slipped off and the answer was shown to you. You were thrust into the middle of Avalon's Battle Stadium! The majestic structure circled around you as audience sat on the sidelines cheering and jeering at the creatures in the arena- WAIT why are you admiring the view at time like this?

A growl from the side sent foreboding chills down your spine. Uh-oh. No. they didn't did they? You turned to find a Faerre smirking at you. "Are you new here? Never seen you before?" Well that's to be expected. You're here to test your luck at finding a Faerre not FIGHT one!

You were about to voice out that fact that you're a participant of the christmas event and not this, but the sounding of a gong interrupted you.

"FIGHT BEGINS!"

WHAAAAT? you didn't even hear the rules! Forget that! Why would you fight at all?! The Faerre from before didn't give you time to think as he leaped towards you, paws outstretched but claws unsheathed.

Mnnn~ the smell of salt was a refreshing experience. The blindfold was taken off and the Harbor stretched out before you. Here and there, ships were lined at dock, bobbing up and down with the waves as sailor tended to their needs. Faerres would set up stores all along the Harbor, selling their prized catch. Ah~ the smell of sea in winter. But could there really be something hidden here? You eyed the peaceful scenery, the path branching out both ways before you.

Should you go left or right?

Hmn… last you recalled, one participant from the first round seem to have started at The Great Library of Vinara, didn't they? Did they find a prize though? Or did they leave empty handed? You looked up at the millions of bookshelves, all lined up before you. Could there really be something hidden here? In this vast structure? Shrugging, you began making your way down the aisle, careful not to bump into any milling Faerres as you searched for your prize. After a few moments of wandering you came across a directory, since you have no way of deciding where to start you might as well use the directory as a guide.

Should you visit the science-fiction section or the mystery section?

Someone started on the Altar last round as well! And they found something didn't they? They found a Faerre! You turned around facing the majestic red curtains of the structure, remembering the days it parted and revealed many beautiful surprises… and behind these curtains a Faerre was found as well last round! But what are the chances of a Faerre hiding in the same spot again?

Should you investigate the backstage or leave the Altar?

You're surprised and honored to be here. One of the newest structures of Vinara, the Courier's Building (literally the post office)! Here and there, couriers of all sizes run from side to side, stuffing their messenger bags and running off to deliver them. Every one of them seem to carry a smile on their face, thoroughly enjoying their job. Amazed, you ducked aside to avoid crashing into a running Courier and kept to the less crowded areas. While walking and admiring the building you came across two doors.

Should you enter the door with packages or the door with letters?

The smell of pine and other 'woodly' scents. The black blindfold slipped off and you find yourself in the middle of the woods. Which wood of Vinara you're not really sure, it's hard to define when all the trees look the same! In such a dimly lit place, where trunks tower above even the tallest buildings, leaves so full they cast great shadows on the ground, it seems awfully… silent these days. You glanced left and right. Nope. Not a soul in sight. Not even a wild beast. Something flashed past and caught your attention. A rabbit? A Faerre? Was that a flash of sword? Were there Faerre warriors stationed around the area to keep the most dangerous of beasts out? You heaved a sigh of relief, if that's true, then you don't really have to worry about being attacked in the middle of your hunt. You began searching through the vast wilderness until you came upon a fork in the road.

Should you take the right path or the left path?

You were pushed around from side to side, handed from one person to another in the busy streets of Srail. You barely had time to breathe ever since they took off the blindfold and left you alone. Along the busy streets there were alleys where they were blocked by warriors guarding the entrance, a clear sign that those streets weren't related to the game. Hmmmn… you think you heard something about someone finding something in Srail as well last round… perhaps you'll also be as lucky? As you tumbled through the crowd you came across a fork in the road, which road should you take?

Go through the alley or continue down the main street?

ARGH! This must be a joke! Of all the places to start at, you had to start at Yadot?! The place of outcasts and dangerous beasts?! Where only the strongest of the strongest and the pure idiots would dare venture into, Yadot, the land equivalent of hell. Oh dear. You've been hearing rumors about this place, stories about Faerres returning, losing their minds, half gored bodies… and apparently last round's participant fled from the wilderness' territories not able to take the horrifying experience. You suppressed a shudder and tried to convince yourself those eerie howls were just your own imagination. You began the hunt, walking into the dark embrace of the wilderness.

Should you stick to the light or wander further into the darkness?

The sweet scents of flora surrounded you and not at all surprised, you find yourself surrounded by beautiful flowers and well trimmed trees. You're in The Gardens of Vinara. The majestic and beautiful public garden funded by The Queen herself. By the side you saw a spouting fountain with a mer-faerre etched into it's side. Ah! This was the place a participant from last round found a Faerre! You peered around the fountain. Ah, nope. Of course it wouldn't be that easy. You turned around and found several paths leading towards other sections of the vast garden. You shrugged inwardly, why not take your time and enjoy the view as well right?

Should you go to the Garden of Red or the Garden Maze?

Of all the places to start in, you can swear on your right paw's little toe that THIS -THIS, was a ridiculous place to start in!

When they handed out blindfolds to the rest of the participants, you were the only one they didn't give. The Faerres said they don't have enough, even though you could see the blindfold they hid carelessly by their backs. But oh well, perhaps they have something else in mind? They told you to close your eyes and you complied, you promised not to open them until you reached your destination or risk being eliminated. After going through so much pain to signup for this event, you're not going to be kicked out so easily! You were herded somewhere and suddenly it felt like you're in a darker environment. Something slammed loudly behind you and you nearly opened your eyes to check for threats. You began moving again-no, that would be incorrect. Where ever they stationed you, THAT began moving and you were carried to your 'supposedly' starting point. So you waited, with your eyes closed, rocking gently with the 'vehicle' and lulled to sleep. When they settled, someone told you it's fine to open your eyes now, you're at your starting point. But when you opened your eyes… it was the same as closing them! Pure darkness! Pitch black nothing! You stood up and bonked your head on… wood? What? You stretched yourself out, finding yourself trapped, locked in a… CRATE?! SERIOUSLY?! Fuming inwardly you sat down in the blinding darkness as your paws itched for action.

Should you yell for help or try busting your way out?

PHEW! That's a lot to write! :'D HAVE FUN EVERYONE!
