You could do a sort of mini-guardians thingy, which consists of warring tribes of good and bad superstitions. There could be a black cat, a shooting star, a broken mirror, stuff like that. :3
Also, you guys need to read Hogfather by Terry Pratchett. It's like Guardians, but with assassins, a sympathetic
DEATH posing as a version of Santa Claus, a castle made entirely of teeth, the true terrors of childhood, personification, belief, and the ancient meaning of Yuletide holidays.
