I don't know honestly, I was considering simply going with "As many as you can win, but be polite and limit yourself" But I don't like that anymore.

Ok I have reached a conclusion. 3 is a very nice number, though I highly suggest that if you do win one, you back off adopting for a while to give others a chance.

She also suggested that I make a rule that you cannot own three of the same gender... But that shouldn't be an official rule.
