I believe we have to have our form filled out when we post. Otherwise its just trying to reserve a slot with the post which it doesn't seem like we are allowed to do.

you can't reserve any slots. 'WIP' forms will be rejected because it's unfair to those people who already have their whole form ready C:

Some artists allow refs to be edited in, some dont. Check the artists post on the first 4 pages to see if you got a slot ^.^
