September pulled out her antique copy of 'Magic Throughout the Ages' "Ah! She said excitedly, finding her page. "Fire, Water, Earth, and Air." she said with a nod. *Now for the next question...how am I supposed to know this one!?* she said stumped. "May I have a hint?"

Tenme wanted to shout, to scream for help, but she couldn't find her voice. It seemed that she had lost all function of her limbs, as however much she wanted to get out of the dark room, she could not move her legs, and the darkness certainly did not help.

As she heard the voice speak, she could feel her heartbeat race. She was most certainly not the adventurous type; adventures merely were an ordeal for her, for her silent nature generally did not endear her to such things. However, as she realised that the voice had asked her a question, she began to feel her heartbeat settle slightly. Even if she were not the most adventurous Faerre, she wasn't the most dim-witted one. Questionnaires she could do.

Running through her mind a list of Faerres, she began the tedious work of spelling their names backward. Then, in a slightly shaky voice, she said, "Seven. Seven Faerres have backward-spelled names." With that, she began reciting her list.

"Krahs - Shark
Retsmah - Hamster
Resu - User
Det - Ted
Nairebis - Siberian
Tsug - Gust
Lorac - Carol
Krej - Jerk
Esor - Rose"

This is not a playground you know?" the Faerre huffed before turning away from you. Oh well… at least you did a good thing… right? You began to leave when the warrior turned back to you and stopped you. "Wait. Since you're here-" Oh no. Not again. "-you should come have a spar with one of the apprentices here. We have an odd number of apprentices, we need one more to help fill in a spot. Good. Now. Go there and teach that young one how to fight!" with a rough shove the brown warrior pushed you in front of a shivering young Faerre who was trying a bit too hard to act brave. Seriously? The apprentice launched himself at you, claws outstretched. Yes. Seriously.

Starmz wrote:You gave the list to the warrior and watched as he ran away, surprised that he didn't question about it. Sighing, you shrugged off your curiosity and began plodding ahead, this time with your eyes glued to the road before you, you're not going to risk bumping into another Faerre and delaying you from… finding whatever you'll find in this game again. After a few turns here and there, twists around corners and complicated hallways you arrive at an intersection in the castle. Which way should you go?

Enter the left hallway or the right hallway?

RighteousDream wrote:The warrior nodded, "Your first answer is right!" and you're delighted that he had begun to move, but still, one warrior blocks the way. "For my question… I'd advise you to go check out the archives." the warrior smiled kindly.

Perhaps you missed one? Are they preparing for your doom? What will happen now? "You are correct little one… you may leave…" the door swung open suddenly and in that split second before the onslaught of light blinded you, you noticed you're… ON THE CEILING?!!! As light blinded you, you felt yourself being lifted and hurled out of the room in the same manner you were thrown in the first place. What ungrateful beings! You landed painfully on your side, thankfully nothing was bruised or broken and you turned just in time to see the center door slam shut, concealing what was hidden within. Not willing to test your luck with the other doors you retreated from the strange hallway to continue on your search. On the way you accidentally collided into a student Mage carrying books, your collision with her scattered her items everywhere on the ground. "Oh no!" the mage gasped, scrambling to grab a rolling pencil. Half of you want to flee the scene and continue the hunt.. the other half of you might want to help…

what will you do?

Tsug leapt back in haste as the young Warrior struck at him. This was definitely NOT something he had been expecting! He had no idea how to spar with a Warrior! Struggling to regain a solid stance, Tsug glanced at the young Warrior he had to face. Well, that was certainly not the right way to set up stance. The young Warrior was keeping his legs too close together, possibly because of his nervousness. Even Tsug himself, a mere (former) farmer, knew that doing that made it easier for an opponent to strike you off balance. The same with having the legs set too far apart.
Finally managing to set up in a proper stance, he called out to the young Warrior, “I might not know much about how Warriors are trained, but what I do know is that your stance is horrible. Bring your legs further apart!”
The Warrior seemed slightly startled by the statement, but complied with Tsug’s advice. By placing his legs too far apart.
Tsug sighed, “No, that’s not it either. Here, let’s stop for a moment and I’ll show you.”
Flicking his tail, he walked over to the trembling warrior.
“Hey now, calm down a bit. It’s not that big of a problem. It’s easily fixed, and I’m sure you’ll knock me off my paws when it is.”
He gave a friendly grin and the Warrior appeared audibly less nervous. Standing next to him, Tsug firmly placed his paws on the ground, demonstrating.
“Now, the proper way to stand is to keep your legs apart a little wider than shoulder and hind width. That way, you end up closer to the ground for better movement, while keeping relatively the same center of balance so you don’t topple over. You got that?”
The Warrior looked down at his paws, positioning them as Tsug had instructed, and looked up again.
“That’s perfect! Now remember that and let’s start one more time.”
With that, Tsug walked back to the opposite side of the sparring ring and faced the young Warrior once more. He definitely didn’t look as nervous as he had before. Now, he seemed more than eager for the challenge. Tsug smiled and prepared himself for a bruising. “Begin!”he shouted, and rushed at the young Warrior. It was in vain. He was deftly avoided and knocked to the floor in a matter of seconds.
<Oof! A bit harder than I thought it would be. I knew I’d be no match for a Warrior, not even one in training.>
Picking himself up off the floor he grinned at the victorious Warrior.
“See? I told you you’d knock me off my paws!”

Whistling a cheerful tune, she turned several corners before arriving at a fork in the road, per se. Raising a metaphorical brow, she went right. After all, if it were akin to a maze, then she should stay to one side - but most oft she heard that the right side was the one to pick. Oh, and she was mostly predominant on her right side. Mostly.

Citrin perked her ears up, looking around.
Since she didn't feel comfortable around large crowds, she crouched low and blinked nervously.
'Too many...' she muttered.
On one side were many little shops with many faerres and humans who were speaking in loud voices. Citrin scowled a bit; no way she was going to push into them! She would probably suffocate.

Instead of going to the shops, Citrin whisked around and ran off to somewhere with less chaos. She went towards the dark alley.

    -
I gazed at my surrowndings, taking them in slowly. There were books everywhere. I was tempted to take a look at a few of them, being a book lover. Instead, though, I turned my attention to the path before me. I frowned slightly. Was it a good idea? I shrugged my shoulders. "It won't hurt to check things out." I muttered under my breath.
Glancing at the orderly Faerres around me, I took a couple of steps closer to the path. Taking in a deep breath, I continued forward at a slow pace.

Wolf Shadowstalker wrote:"Hmmn… not bad." You flinched in surprise when the warrior suddenly appeared behind you nodding his head with approval. "Good, good." he kept repeating under his breath as he helped you up. "Ok, run along now. Get out. No more games. Busy day." he harrumphed as he waved you away… again. What? No thank you? Fine. You trudged away from the training grounds eager to leave the presence of the old warrior when you collided into something. "Oh good!" Sighing, you looked down to find an apprentice staring up at you. "You're a participant of the game right?" the female squeaked happily. "I'm so excited!" she continued to babble. Excited? Why? Aren't you the one who's on a treasure hunt for exotic Faerres and custom orbs? Aren't you the one who's always getting delayed? "See, Rauga gave an order to everyone before the game start, that if we happen to meet any game participant we must give them something to do!" Now, THAT explains A LOT. Forcing a tired smile you faced the little warrior waiting for her assignment. "Noone knows the real name of the Queen right?" you nodded. "But there were a lot of guesses on her real name! Can you find and list out all the guesses made by other people?" the apprentice laughed, proud of her little 'quiz'.

Starmz wrote:You chose to travel down the right pathway (the RIGHT path, getit?getit?-shot-) and all seemed well until a Faerre courier ran towards you. Well… at least you didn't bump into them again. You stopped and waited for the Faerre to catch up and catch her breath when she did. She flung a scroll at you and without a second word, rushed away to deliver the rest of her scrolls. You unrolled the parchment and began reading…
Letter wrote:Greetings Participant!
Here's a fun little quest for you to complete-

You looked up and not surprisingly, warriors had blocked your way forward.
It's a simple quest really, please write a Haiku about the beautiful weather today on the back of this parchment and hand it to my faithful warriors! Thanks!
Signed,
The Queen

Ashenjay wrote:You strolled into the dark alley, squinting as your vision become limited with the scarce amount of light provided. Slowly you pushed on, wary of your steps as the eerie aura of the secluded alley began seeping into your bones. Perhaps this was not a smart choice… a tap on your shoulder nearly sent you leaping ten feet into the air and when you turned, you came face to face with dark eyes and irritated stare.
Image
It was the weird storekeeper! Suppressing a shudder you dipped your head politely at the Faerre and began easing out of the alley when she blocked your way. "You're not leaving that easily." You gulped, of course not. "Before you leave, answer me, of all the Faerres that have left Vinara, how many of their names start with 'T'?"

i8chichi wrote:You continued on your merry way to search for the hidden Faerres and items, through twists and turns you maneuver yourself skillfully past racks and racks of bookshelves. Until you realized… you're hopelessly lost! All the shelves look the same! They're too organized! You looked to your left then you looked to your right. No… nothing looks familiar at all… Frowning you decided to take a chance.

Should you wander over to the fantasy section or the mystery section?

Wolf Shadowstalker wrote:The clang of swords became a constant sound as you spend more and more time in the Warrior's Academy. Who knew you would end up here! You watched with fascination as warriors threw themselves at each other, mentors scolding apprentices and warriors… being warriors. A warrior noticed you and began walking over,

it was the leader of the warriors! "You must one of the participants of this year's game." he murmured softly, surprising you with his gentle low voice. "Why they would choose this place as a starting point confuses me. We're busy here." the warrior shook his head. "Well since you're here you wouldn't mind doing a quest. As a warrior, we have to train our body but also our soul. We must be gentle and caring. So do gift one of the participants a gift, be it pets or art. Come back to me when you're done. and show proof." with that the ancient warrior went back to observing the training field, barking orders and whipping out his sword to break apart fights.

Toga stared at the gates before him, the ones that he had once entered when he was younger. Toga glanced towards the Warrior that was walking towards him and greeted him with a brief bow and a wide smile, "Why yes I am." he replied softly. He listened to what the warrior said and nodded briefly, "Yes, sir." he said As he turned and trotted away to find someone he could gift.

A few minutes later, he trotted up behind the warrior, "Sir." he said softly as he placed his proof of the gifting at the warrior's paws.
