The devious female listened to the way the daeet responded to all of the suitors, unable to help the wide smirk of pleasure that found its way onto her face. She was the only of the four who had received any sort of positive feedback from Knona, but even then, she did not begin to brag, for she knew that it was not yet over. There was still a chance for any of them to leave with the companionship of the Vampyric Daeet, and she knew well to listen to that old saying, 'Don't count your eggs before they hatch', for in a case like this, it was very much true.
"I do know of your struggles sister, the hardships our species face for being different sickens me. So what if we arn't like everyone else? So what if we thrive off of death, feeding on the very source of life in most creatures, blood? It is the way we were born, or created, and it is not like we have a choice. I will admit though, that even before I was changed into this brilliant monster, I always had a love for that sort of thing. I was an assassin, I knew and still know all of the tricks in the book. I can kill someone within seconds, and not just by biting/draining them. Even as a young child I loved seeing that fear overtake a creature, showing through in their eyes, in their souls, when they knew that their death was quickly approaching. Most humans, when they are young, try to rescue animals and make them their pets. I did not. Whenever I came across one, I stretched out the torture before killing it. But soon that did not fulfill my needs. I was thirteen when I killed my first human, and ever since then, I haven't been able to stop." Averness felt her smirk growing so much that her sharp, and pointed fangs now nearly fully showed from the top of her mouth, her fierce red eyes gleaming with a murderous glint. Even just telling of her past, just thinking about all the death she has caused, brought joy to the sickened soul, and it was very clear to see.
"The feeding in this world is actually quite easy, for there are hardly any creatures who have the ability to track us here. Aside from our most vile enemies, the werewolves. They are few and far between, but they do exist. Luckily? I have killed several in my part and know very well how to get rid of them, for i know their weakspots. Now, the humans are extremely weak, I cannot even lie to you. It is almost pathetic the way they flaunt around with their money and think that that is all that is important." The woman sent a quick glare over in the direction of a supposed 'queen'. Pft, how idiotic. A queen and a vampire? Simply impossible. "Even when they try to surround themselves with what they call security, protection, if you are not hungry enough to feed off of all of those creatures, it's rather easy for our kind to just slip around them undetected to get to what we want. I could show you, I could teach you the ways of this world. There are those who we must avoid or kill at all costs, there are rogues of our vampyric blood who feast off of the small creatures that are meant for animals. They feed from mice and squirrels, but no. I tell you, travel with me my dear Knona, and you will learn just how fantastical it can be for our kind in the land of the humans." Her signature smirk remained on her face as she dipped her head in goodbye, slipping back into the shadows where all but her glowing eyes were concealed as she watched and waited.
