About

The Fossas you'll find here have been raised to be a bit friendlier than their wilder cousins, though I'll admit that they're friendly and feisty, and if you don't get to training them early on, you'll see the true definition of a temper tantrum! Extensive study has been carried out to make these marsupials more colourful than the standard reddish-brown,and yes, we've had a few mutations along the way! (Don't worry- none of these guys seem to be harmed by their... more unique traits- some even seem to enjoy spooking their owners at night!)

All types (excluding PPS, Plush, and Mutated) can be gained through custom ordering.

Standard
Common
The most closely related to 'normal' Fossas, Standards always come in a natural pattern and limited palette (ex. shades of blue with no other colors). Our mascot Liff is a great example. They can be aquired through normal litters, events, and breedings.
Colourful
Common
Colourfuls are the specialty of this place. They can come in any colour and any pattern! Get these guys from normal litters, events, and breedings.


Winged
Uncommon
About a quarter of these Fossas will carry the trait for little wings, so you never know when one of these will pop up! (Remmeber that they need plenty of time leaping outside, or you'll come home to a mess of knocked over valuables.) The winged cuties come from normal litters, events and breeding.


Long Furred
Very Uncommon
Best suited for the life of a lap-dog, the docile and long-furred aren't as fond of (or made for) the trees as the other types, and they like to lounge on warm objects (preferably you). Find them in regular litters, events and breeding.


Runts
Rare
Much like the Peter Pan Syndrome that affects our dearly beloved CS pets, every now and then we have a Fossa that doesn't mature physically! You may find one of these during an event, rare litters, or from breeding. (Can be gained from breeding, but are not breedable)

Mutated
Rare
These Fossas could have horns, extra legs, even an abnormal lineart! Surprises abound with these little guys. You can only get these from events, breeding. and very special litters.


Plush
Very Rare
With an Enchanted Thread and Needle, anything can happen! Catch one in an event, or purchase an Enchanted Thread and Needle (that's one thing that hardly ever restocks) at The Nook. (Cannot be bred or gained from breeding)

❛You may own up to six Fossas at any given time- staff members may have eight.
❛If you no longer want your Fossa message me- it will be put back up for adoption by anyone. Do not resell them or trade them off (unless it's for another Fussy Fossa)
❛Litters (1-5 babies) are released in rounds, which are a group of litters (or sometimes just one). You may only adopt one Fossa per round.
❛Your Fossa's name must begin with a letter.
❛Please don't ask / beg / bribe / harass / roll off a cliff for when the next round will be.

The Nook
In one low-lying tree,you see a sign wedged in a fork in the branches. "Leave appropriate amount of baubles in collection box." Of course, you could just take everything lying around and revel in your new-found wealth, but you would never do that, right?

Breeding
❛As a side effect of the domesticizing, the Fossas from here will only breed twice without the use of a potion to raise this number to three, but they will accept more than one mate in their lifetime.

❛If one parent has a mutation or is winged, horned, ect. there is a 50% chance that any cubs it has will have that same trait. That chance is 100% if both parents have that trait

❛To prevent a fight, specify who recieves (the) Fossa cubs ahead of time. If you own both of the Fossas that are having a litter, decide who recieves any cubs that go over your maximum limit. If you do not, the cubs will be put up for adoption. (example:User X breeds two of his Fossas together. They have three cubs but User X already has four Fossas. He must decide who gets the extra cub.)
