What is a Glowsprite?
Glowsprite's full species name is Glowsprite Cleroscribe (GC). They are mostly solitary animals, and generally live in dark, damp caves with deep bodies of water. If they live in a group, it is normally a very small group of 2-3. They have no gills, but can hold their breath for ten minutes maximum. They do have webbed feet though, and insulation fur that keeps them warm in cold waters. They use their antennas to navigate dark caves and detect movements under water. They have eight eyes, four on each side, to help them succeed in navigating the dark caverns. They are omnivorous creatures, but individual Glowsprites can have a preference for just meat, just vegetables, fruit, or insects.
Glowsprites normally have a dark base colour, with a soft, yet bright 'accent' colour on their antenna, and the soft delicate skin that loosely surround the tail that starts at the base. These large, great dane sized animals are long-lived, the average life expectancy being 40-60 years. But there have been recorded records of some that have lived over 70 years.
They communicate with each other with various clicking noises, coming from the base of their neck. It can be heard both in air and underwater, undesturbed by the waters density as it generates from two small bones in the base of the Glowsprites neck. It is protected by a bit of natural fat around it, which helps keep the noises undesturbed under the water. Underwater, they do not open their mouths to click, as the sounds would be disturbed then. But out of water, they do open their mouths like any other animal.
To win this Glowsprite give them a name, gender, and describe their personality in four sentences or less. Art is optional, but no other extras please.
