When the truck stopped Boone wondered what was going to become of him. The young man held his stance of one of pride and of a rocky front, but in truth deep within him the little boy inside of him was freaking out. He still didn't know what these people wanted from him, and they didn't seem like the friendliest people around, now did they? He was frightened for his own sake and what was going to happen to him. He seriously did not want to die, and if these people intended to do something that involved torture or death with him he wasn't going to just go through with it easily. In fact why would he even wait around for something awful to happen to him? He needed to get out of here - now. But how? Could he run for it? Would it be too risky? No, he had to take a chance with something, and this was his best shot, he needed to get out of here and make them loose his trail. He could do this.. He could do this....
As the doors opened and he got out, he bolted it, running as quick as he could away from the parked van. "Get him!" He heard someone cry as he dashed his way through the trees. They won't be able to catch me, I'll best them yet! His thoughts were filled with determination and the thrill of being on the run from his captors. Still as he was just getting sure of himself he heard something running up from behind him. Turning his head to see he saw a large black bear running through the trees after him. On it's shoulder there was a red crest moon, the sign of a shapeshifter. One of his captors chasing after him no doubt. Cursing to himself he knew that he to would have to use magic if he was to escape. Spinning around he held out his hands in flattened V shape, and closing his eyes for a brief moment spoke the words of the magi lords. When his eyes reopened a large spiral of purple and blue jetted from his hands, the sign of spirit magic. He was normally not good at such arts, but they were useful against shapeshifters.
The bear snarled in pain as the bolts hit him, making him stand on his hind legs in agony. He roared out his claws clashing through the empty air as he fell back onto his back. As he did so he changed back into his regular form. The driver man - Rupert. A sneer fell onto Boone's face, feeling like he had just destroyed the last barrier between himself and freedom. But as he spun around to continue his run away something flashed onto his hands and legs, something tight that made him fall on his gut onto the ground. With a moanhe felt the tight embrace of metal around his limbs, and looking down he managed to see chains tightened around him. Clearly the shifter had not been the only one that had been after him. A couple of seconds later he saw the scarred man Louis wak out from the trees. A very victorious look was on his face as he walked over and stood over his chained body. He thought he heard the man chuckle, and that made goosebumps crawl onto Boone's skin. There was no hope for him now, he was going to be the puppet of whatever the hell they needed him for.
He was going to be removed from freedom.
"Now, now, you didn't think that you could run off and leave the party did you?" The man laughed, as he reached down, grabbing one of Boone's arms and hauling the man onto his feet. "That wouldn't have been any fun would have it?" He began to walk Boone back to where the others were, Boone deciding not to struggle and instead just felt like dead wait and allowed himself to be dragged along. It took them a few minutes to get back, and when they did he noticed that everyone in camp seemed to have a strange expression. Was it fear? Anger? Sadness? It was something that he couldn't gather onto. There was something very strange going on here, something that he was yet to understand. These people really seemed desperate to keep him here, and a couple of their faces held the glaze of a mother who's child had just ran away from home. That alone should have told him that this place was messed up.
The young girl Jo stepped forward, "what were you thinking?!" Her voice flustered and angered. "Do you know how dangerous it is to just run off into the forest like that?" Because they seemed so worried about his safety before. "There are dangerous animals, and even worse people in these woods. To run off into them without thinking is wrong! I can see now that you're going to be a troublesome case, aren't you faith? Well I suppose we're going to have to teach you how to behave." What was that? This younger girl was going to teach him how to behave? Even after everything that had just happened, and the fact that she had her merry bunch had just kidnapped him. Yes, all this made so much sense! What the hell was really going on here? Something that Boone knew would bite him in the ass if he continued to go along with. Something needed to be done, and soon. But it was clear that running away wasn't much of an option.
Roughly he was walked down across the rocky path by Louis and through a couple of trees, there he saw was a camp. There was a small cabin, probably no more than two people able to live in there at a time without it getting crowded. By the cabin there were four tents, a fire in the middle of the camp. There were sacks surrounding the camp, no doubt filled with food or something else that was needed to survive. There were a few more people in the camp, people that seemed happy when they saw his face. These people really can't get much weirder now can they? His thoughts mused. Louis pushed him along quickly until he was brought over to a tree on the right side of the camp. With a quick flick of his wrist the chains not only tied around Boone himself but around the trunk of the tree. So that he was tied there. Struggling to move a bit he realized that there was no hope that he was just going to have to go along with it for the time being.
"Welcome to your new home, pup." Louis chuffed. "You're going to be staying here for awhile."
That's just amazing...
